Does anyone have any Pokémon good for sparring with?
I practice judo.
Feel free to bring them to Sand Gym.

Also, I could use housemates for my 4 bedroom/4 bathroom house in Genessia.

He went on a cleaning frenzy after coming back from the dead, so the rooms are pristine and weLL organized. Hello there.

I'm not looking for a place to live currently. But I have my pokemon that I'm looking to train with against another trainer.

You practice judo? Sound like fun. I usually practice with my sword and I teach students to fight with swords too.

What style do you use? Sand Gym used to have an iaido instructor, but she went back home.

It's a broadsword in one hand and a shield in the other, in a style a medieval knight or castle guard would use. I never heard of iaido, but that sound like an interesting style.

It involves quick, fluid, efficient movements with a sword. Kata start with drawing the sword and end with it back in the scabbard.

Where do you teach?

Sound like an interesting technique, I would like to learn.

In Fayren, but the school and guild isn't open yet. That is to say, I haven't found a good building to make the school.

Unfortunately, the person teaching that style went back to her home world.

I'm hiring martial artists. The Fayren Branch of the Schnee Welcoming Center is looking for workshop leaders. Or use them to help you find a building.

I think Aqua used Holodeck'd in Nova City with permission from David Haller when she was here.

Are you challenging me to a pokemon battle?

Do you have any Pokémon that could safely spar with me?

[ He wants something that won't get hurt if he practices judo with it.]

I guess my Zangoose wants to battle.

Most pokemon are built for battle. It was part of what they do after all.

Very few can effectively spar with humans.

That's because they aren't meant to be sparing with people. That's not really their purpose, thus why very few can.

They can fight one another, though.

I guess I'll have to stick with humans and human-shaped bipedal species which won't immediately kill me.

My brother taught his to color during the last time Pokémon were here.

I'm teaching mine how to play video games. Teaching them can be fun, but yes...they would more likely hurt people if you try and face them one on one.

Pokémon playing video games sounds adorable.

If my brother took any pics, they disappeared with him. Along with his Pokémon.

So if one leaves the pokemon they have go with? That's kind of sad. Couldn't one leave them with people who they knew would look after them.

They disappear. No one can control when they leave or arrive.

Even though the pokemon probably won't end up with them? That's still sad.

I think the Pokémon went back to their native world.

Still think it's kind of sad when you think about it. They made a bond with someone and then they both ended up back at home. So way of being able to see one another again.

They likely don't remember that bond.

Won't they really? Is that the same for everyone here?

Sometimes people can remember being here before when they come back.

The second time my brother's girlfriend showed up, she didn't even remember meeting me, and we met back home. She came from an earlier time.

This whole situation is confusing.

I guess that is true as well. More so from my perspective due to situations at home.

I can't quite think of a pokemon that would be bad at sparring; not a single pacifist among the bunch, to hear some say it. Unless you meant with your own person? I've also heard that's not quite safe.

I did mean myself. It's not safe with most types of Pokémon. I want to spar with the few exceptions.

What a novel idea! I should've thought of it myself, though mine aren't quite fit for that kind of play. Fresh out of fighting types. I'll be on the lookout just in case.

Some seem to have attacks similar to human martial arts styles. People wrestling with their pets isn't unheard of.

Don't have any pokemon to spar with, but I might know someone who could use a place to stay.

[Nora shows up a little later, by herself. And some curly fries. She didn't want to come empty handed! She knocks on his door, awaiting a response.]

[ Mayu lets her in. Nora could see in person how clean his home is.]

[ He looks relieved about actually being able to talk. She could have asked him directly.]

Want a key? Tour?

Let's start with a tour.

[Suddenly feeling pretty shy right now as she steps into the super clean home. Not because it's pretty clean, cleaner than her own room, but because of why she's there.]

Why do you live by yourself?

[ Due to the recent death related trauma, it's really easy to make Mayu cry. His eyes well up and overflow. Nora's question hits hard. ]

Not my choice. Everyone else went back.

[ He misses them. It hurts. The pain is overwhelming. He trembles.]

[People come and go all the time, which isn't really surprising. So seeing Mayu get emotional over the question is cause for concern in Nora.]

Mayu, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to... [Looking truly apologetic, Nora places a light hand on his arm.] Are you alright? Do you want to talk about it? [She asks with a gentle voice, not wanting him to shed another tear.]

[ He's crying even harder. He covers his face and sobs into his hands. Tears drip through his fingers onto the floor.]

[ He's not alright. He doesn't know if he ever will be. He needs to talk about what happened, but words are too difficult. ]

I died. Sorry.

[ His death placed a burden on Nora.]

[She hates seeing her friends like this, especially when she could have done something to prevent something so traumatic from happening. Nora does her best to get a couple of chairs for them both to sit on, and trying to guide him to sit.]

You shouldn't be sorry, Mayu. I should be apologizing. If only I'd knew... [This isn't the first time her friends have died here, and couldn't do anything about it. So many missed opportunities to spare them this sort of pain.] I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you.

[ He lets her guide him. He isn't capable of much else while breaking down. He's an emotional wreck. It's a while before he can speak again. He wipes his face on a sleeve. ]

Only blame the person who made Koishi go berserk.

[ Mayu understands this feeling. Weiss is his friend too. Her killer targeted more of Nora's friends because of their relationship with Weiss. He didn't know how to help anyone in the aftermath.]

Be there now?

[ He wipes his face again and looks at Nora with teary eyes.]

I can't be alone. Please?

[Nora gives a firm nod and a soft smile to him.] Don't worry, Mayu. You won't be alone.

[That's the least she can do. She can't always protect her friends, but at least she can be there for them afterwards.]
