SOMEBODY SEND HEEEEEELP!

[ Konoka is seen in a video, head tilted awkwardly as she is in a life or death tug of war...

...with a Larvitar that is currently chewing on the end of her hair. There's also an Eevee nearby practically yapping at it and pouncing on it. There is no mischief or malice in Larvitar's actions, it has simply and truly run out of fucks to give. ]

[Video, some time later]

Oh, ah sorry about that. That was mega embarrassing. See, I got this little one out of the egg that hatched.

[ Konoka is now sporting a slightly modified hairdo with the end of her brunette hair captured in a thick pink bow. She is holding her Eevee, who looked pretty content in her arms. ]

If I remember correctly, they're pokemon, right? I remember playing games like that back at home some time go. They said we could catch more and I found a couple around my path to work and around my job. But one of them is... well, he's kinda dangerous.

[ The Larvitar terrorizing her earlier was still out of its pokeball, now just chewing on some sort of bone. It still doesn't have any fucks to give. ]

[Yeah... Konoka? Not long after shouting for help, your roommate's coming into the room. With a panicked expression on her face, and her outfit looking like it has recently been on fire. A bit of her hair, too. And her face.]

OH GOD THESE EGGS WERE CURSED WHAT DO WE DO?!?!?!?

[... Pidonus, you're epic-level, you're not the one taking damage here!]

[ Konoka took a moment out of her busy schedule of panicking and fighting for her life to look at the apparently toasty succubus running and found that yes, things could get worse. ]

W-what happened to you?! What's going on?

[ More tugs, but that Larvitar still didn't give any fucks. ]

Cat. Fire. Firecat. This doesn't make sense!

[Pidonus, at least, dashes towards the Larvitar, trying to help get it off of Konoka's hair. And quickly. At least she has better angle for it.

Meanwhile, a small, black and red cat walks into the room from Pidonus' bedroom...]

[ Konoka wonders about that, but is more grateful that Pidonus was finally here to help. Try as she might though, Larvitar is stubborn. Depending on how effective Pidonus's attempt was, Konoka would motion her head over to her desk. ]

There should be a red and white ball somewhere on the desk, use that and bonk it on the head with it!

[ But by then she notices the Litten strolling in. ]

Ah...?

A... Wait, what-

[Pidonus looked at the desk, grabbing the odd-looking ball and smacking the Larvitar with it.

Meanwhile, the Litten just kind of sauntered over towards Konoka. Think fast to avoid risking being lit on fire!]

[ The Larvitar looked mildly annoyed with it, but the ball did its job, actually capturing it and sending it back in the Pokeball. Konoka gasped from the sudden freedom, nearly stumbling over before she spied Litten.

Well, Litten was adorable, but she also remembered that Pidonus was on FIRE because of this kitten. ]

Kitty~?

[Pidonus blinked, looking for another of those balls.

The Litten, meanwhile... Moved towwards a corner of the room, looking more interested in taking a nap in a warm spot than fighting the girl whose hair just got mangled.]

[ Konoka looked over tentatively, now that she was free. The Eevee, in the meantime, seemed to finally calm down and walk over to Konoka. They exchanged looks. ]

Oh! You too! What's your name?

[ Its cheerful answer came in the form of a 'Vee!'. ]

Huh! Well nice to meet you too, little one! I wish I was in better shape.

Pidonus-han?

Hello. It looks like your pokemon is hyper and need some training. Have you thought of taking him out for some exercise?

[In the background of the video, his Audino is totally wiped out from the exercise of Kratos strict training regimen and is taking a rest eating and nomming on pokefood and berries. Not that she minds, because she only wanted to get stronger.]

[ There was someone she hadn't seen before, though he didn't look lost or new. ]

Well, this little guy hatched out of the egg and I found and I took him out to play around since I heard they like that, and we ran into that hair muncher and a couple of others later on.

Is he... really munching on my hair because he needs more exercise?

[ That Audino though... it looks pretty cute! ]

It maybe he's being playful and sees you as his parent. That was the case for my pokemon.

[He turned his phone around so that Konoka can have a good look at Audino.]

She was hyper before, but after taking her out for walk and jog, she calm down and that's how we bonded. Though, she's a healer type, so she isn't fit for very intense battles, I learned.

[ Konoka stared at Larvitar. It was content on staring right back. ]

Ooooh...

She's a healer? That's more of my forte than strict battling. Is there a way we can trade?

Yes, she's a healer. The professor told me she's more fit to be a nurse assistant in a hospital setting. I'm a swordsman and a teacher of the sword. In my world, if there is a party of 4 to fight in battle, she would be better at the back of formation so she wouldn't get hit easily by the enemy as a target.

...? [Kratos gave her a curious expression.] These pokemon can be traded?

I think so? That's what I heard, I might need to talk to that professor that you did. What's his name again?

[ On her lap, Eevee peered curiously. ]

Professor Sycamore.

[Kratos figured she is interested in his Audino. In a few moments, she'll receive an address, which is a address in Fayren.]

...though you may have to meet with me, to get acquainted with her, and I'll shall have to give you a test. My name is Kratos. I'm in the middle of opening a training school in Fayren.

[That introduction should give her a hint that Kratos may not give Audino to her easily. His test was meant to see if she can be a rightful owner of a gentle pokemon.]

A test?

[ Konoka blinked. Well, it was probably pretty wise to test her, after all she wouldn't want such a gentle Pokemon in the hands of any particularly fierce or mean trainer. But she wondered what the test would consist of, or if she could pass it. ]

Alright then. I'll talk to Sycamore. I'm Konoka Konoe. Nice to meet you!

A test to see if you're going to be a good trainer.

[He gave a nod to that.]

Likewise.

[Yup, Kratos is a man of few words.]

Fair enough.

[ A test like that made perfect sense. Though she knew little about Pokemon, she felt it was as good a reason to learn as any... and she had numerous. ]

Well considering no one was honestly expecting it, that was actually the correct way to react.

[But was it really? Probably not honestly.]

But squealing and getting into a predicament like that on camera still seems kinda embarrassing, don't you think?

[ Konoka couldn't tell if Krista's words were good or not. ]

If you can come back from it, then it shouldn't be.

[ Something about that sounded harsh from Konoka's view. ]

Sounds like you've had it tough.

[ She can relate, there were times where death lurked mighty close to her body. But did this come close to those times? Maybe not. ]

I wouldn't say tough. For me my life was perfectly normal to me.

[While she seemed like an extremely confident person, in reality she wasn't. Thanks mother for making her think that she has to be perfect in order to make people happy.]

People all the time go through tough things, but they come out of it stronger. So something scares you, if you get over it and over come it then it's okay.

[ That didn't convince Konoka very much at all, but she said nothing and just rolled with it. ]

Eevee's been pretty helpful though~

[ She stroked the creature again, who happily piped up with a "Vee!" ]

Eevee's are also cute and interesting since they got all those evolution choices.

I have Caterpie who will eventually become a beautiful butterfly.

[She moved slightly moving to holding him up.]

Even if I am usually not a fan of bugs, I do always admire butterflies.

Oooooh!

[ Konoka admires Caterpie. Bugs aren't her thing either, but its larger size and appearance make it cuter than what you'd expect from a bug. ]

Who knows what this little one will evolve into?

[ Konoka stroked her Eevee. She hadn't decided yet. ]

Eevee has like five possibilities, depending I believe. So you'll be surprised when they do evolve.

[She was sad she didn't get one, or a vulpix, but hey Caterpie was a nice choice.]

Hehe, well I can't wait.

[ Eevee is also wagging its tail, seemingly uncaring of Konoka's wonder and just happy to have her affection. ]

You're not alone! I have one that's kind of mean and I don't know what they're capable of yet. But...well, I think with enough love and patience, they'll be okay! And so will yours. Maybe if you walk around with him he'll get used to you.

Ah, I was considering that. I'd have to take him out and hope that he doesn't find my hair tastier...

Oh? What does yours look like?

Maybe he'll be distracted by the outdoors and forget all about your hair!

Mine's an Inkay. [As if on cue, Inkay pops up in front of Jeb, making a face] And they don't have very good manners so far.

Inkay, huh?

[ The bad mannered little squid did seem pretty cute, if seemingly mischievous. ]

Mine is called 'Larvitar'. He seems to... not care about much.

[ Larvitar takes a moment out of his busy schedule of having no fucks to give to casually glance at the Inkay and the long-haired human with it. ]

It's an idea, and Eevee here is pretty fond of the outdoors.

Yeah...I should come up with a name for them soon, though. Maybe that'll help them warm up a little.

[His eyes light up at the mention of Eevee]

You're so lucky! I saw people with Eevees the last few times this happened, and they're so cute! Er, the Eevees, that is.

Oh, I hadn't thought of that! I wonder what I should name my Eevee...

[ She looks at the cute creature, who stares back. ]

This might not be easy to come up with. Oh well, it'll come to me soon enough.
