[The feed activates as he's going down a wooden staircase and moving into what appears to be a small medical clinic. There the phone is placed on one of the counters as he moves about with surprising confidence despite wearing such dark glasses in the softly lit area. Cabinets are opened so he can pull out all the various bottles and boxes and each is vary carefully felt and then sniffed before being placed back in precise locations.]

Expired... Fine... penicillin... ginger tea... transfusion kit... tape...

[This is going to go on for some time unless someone points out he's broadcasting.]

[He's going to straighten suddenly at her voice and then turn towards the vidphone. Oh, that thing...]

I didn't realize this was on, please excuse me. I'm doing an inventory on the supplies stored here. It seems that this place hasn't had a competent physician for several months so I accepted responsibility for the near future.

[He inclines his head slightly in acknowledgement. Somehow, even nodding seems to be a slightly formal motion.]

That would be quite an advantage to me now. This place has no staff at all besides myself it seems and my eyes no longer function. I was told that hiring a 'secretary' would be a good idea.

[Yep, she sure is bowing in apology, even if he can't see it. Her cheeks burn. His strange behavior, the question about reading, all of it clicks into place all at once.]

A secretary? Well... I don't know much about working for a doctor, but, I guess I do need a job....

[A wave of his hand dismisses her embarrassment and apology at the same time.]

I have adjusted to everything except printed script it seems. I take it as a compliment that you didn't notice. I'm not sure what a 'secretary' does though so I'm not able to assist in your question. It might be useful to visit the unemployment office to find out.

[She's still a little embarrassed about it but... at least he didn't seem offended or anything, so she wasn't going to dwell on it. She discards it quickly enough when he brings up that next point anyway. Oh, he doesn't even know what a secretary does at all?]

Well, I guess a secretary is sort of like an assistant. You know, somebody who handles stuff like paperwork and taking appointments so the doctor can focus on taking care of patients.

Ah, so that's what they do. That would indeed be helpful. This place is very different from where I come from. We didn't have much paper so most information was simply saved to a computer or memorized.
