NEWSPAPER - BIWEEKLY EDITION
[Did you subscribe to The Genessia Tribune? Did you even remotely wish you had a newspaper or some other form of media to refer to for news, weather, and current events? Then you're in luck! There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Even remote locations in the other cities will still get a paper if one of the residents ever wanted one. The Paperboy is just that dedicated.]
[And if you're one of the following people, and you happen to subscribe to the newspaper, the Paperboy may or may not have flung the newspaper through that person's window, at the person, and/or broke something in the area: Jefferson, Link, Fai D. The Purge
The purging of residents who failed to declare whether or not they would stay is in full effect. Reports show that those hostile towards law enforcement officials visiting homes were forcefully removed and detained with charges of trespassing against them, while most others were given leniency and asked to apply for an extension and enroll in relocation services while they continue to decide their future in Everglade. This enrollment guaranteed uncertain residents a month’s reprieve of thinking time. Now with their enrollment period expired, the decisions of the residents are clear.
Although it seems as if most residents have chosen to stay, a rather small percentage are choosing to relocate. Those that do relocate will be escorted by either the guardian herself or one of her deputies out of the archway. Relocation escorts are on a schedule, known to only the guardian and deputies, and have already commenced.
With the shuffle happening in Everglade, there also seems to be a rise in squatters in the city. Guardian Sutcliff has this to say on the matter:
- "Taking up residence in vacant buildings and homes is strictly against the law. Those that choose to do so will face jail time, fined, and/or required to complete community service hours. The Red House Foundation is there for those that have no home to go to, with warm beds and meals, so there is little excuse to break the law unless they’re just dumb and bored."
Chimera Infection
The Chimera Infection has been spreading throughout the city of Fayren. The illness has been long dormant, but recently has begun to resurface, however, it only seems to infect those with magical abilities. There are no details about when the disease first surfaced, but it has been known to reoccur from time to time. The symptoms of the disease my differ slightly from person to person, but they are usually the following:
- Fever.
- Chills.
- Muscle Aches.
- Coughing.
- Head Congestion.
- Fatigue both physical and magic.
- And Sneezing, which seems to be a symptom of anyone that is infected with the illness.
The sneezing is accompanied by loss of control of magical powers. For instance, a mage might sneeze and shoot a fireball by mistake or shoot magic missiles or erect a magical barrier for no reason. The illness if not fatal, though there is no known cure for it. Bed rest and fluids seem to help out the best when combating it.
The captain of the City Guard has asked that anyone that is infected with Chimera Infection take the necessary precautions not to spread the disease to others. He cites an incident in the past where someone with the disease conjured a huge gust of wind by mistake to sent half of the patrons from a bar out the windows.

Disgruntled Worker - A man working at a pharmaceutical company was recently fired from his job, before he left, he stole a large portion of the company's stock of medicine and equipment. A level 2 payment is being offered to anyone that can find him and return the stolen goods.

Pun Punisher - Fred Palace is a man that hates word play. As such, he has made it his mission to assault people that say or post puns on line. A level 1 bounty is being offered for his capture.
Everglade
Missing - Several bodies have been found throughout the city missing various organs. A level 2 payment is being offered to anyone that can find the one responsible.
Fayren
B&E - A mage researching artifacts returned to their home to find them all stolen. They aren't sure who is responsible, but they are offering a level 2 payment to anyone that can help turn up their stolen goods.

Cement Shoes - The bodies of three people have been found in the pond of the Attleton Park. Their feet were encased in cement and they were dropped in to drown. A level 2 payment is being offered to anyone that can bring them in.

It's the magical version of the flu. Get some rest, drink lots of fluids, don't do anything stressful. Really. You need rest and medicine. Genessia General will be shipping some NyQuil and DayQuil to Fayren to lessen the symptoms. We'll work on developing the equivalent of the flu shot in Genessia.
