[Rocket woke up irritated, and became more irritated upon exiting his weird sleep-egg thing and finding himself in some kind of weird watery underground hole with nobody else around. When the communicator clicks on, the voice of the hologram can be heard first, just before Rocket's.]

What the hell is a Genessia?

[He doesn't pronounce it exactly right. There's a sound of metal-on-metal, and a frustrated noise from Rocket.]

Well, this is a great mess, no clue where this loony place is, and just some fricking holo humie in a skirt, could use the parts though.

[Yup, he's attempting to disassemble the base of the hologram with the tools that came over with him, his gun strapped to his back.]

HEY, anybody know what the hell this place is and how I got here? Cos I don't remember blacking out.

[Of course, he says that right before that weird gas comes out of the base and he passes out, so replies will happen after he comes to.]

[Okay, now Rocket is actually even more irritated because he's groggy, just woke up from the knock-out gas, and also just had to skedaddle away from the guard or cops or whoever. Good thing he's not human, or he'd have still been there to find.]

I wasn't paying attention to that thing. I tried to take it apart but it zapped me or somethin'. Nobody's found a way out?

Genessia is the name of one of the cities here, there's five of them. We all woke up in this world without recollection of how we arrived and there's no way to leave. There's barriers all around the city.

Wait, so this is like a regular thing? And nobody's figured out how to get out yet?

Nobody yet. There's people investigating the barriers but so far no way to break them. It's frustrating but not as terrible as it sounds.

The only thing you can't do here is fly, since there's no spaceships, but aside from that you can do as you please.

Yeah, that's not gonna work for me. I got stuff to do that ain't here. But breakin' outta this place should be easy if it's just some walls and getting my hands on a ship.

There are no ships, I told you that. None that can go off planet, that's it. And if you go near the barriers, you will lose conciousness. There's apparently bad things outside the barriers. Think of this place as some forced vacations.

Yeah, well, probably they haven't escaped from twenty-three different prisons, but I'm different. I can get outta anywhere.

Maybe I can find somebody who can build one. Or do it myself, but I dunno, that might explode in a bad way. I'm better at making bombs. I don't really do vacations.

We have plenty of criminals and bounty hunters in all the cities, none of them managed to break out. But if you do, I'll be amazed.

Pocket dimension. It's some kind of kidnapping ring run by a super AI computer is what I've gathered and it plucks everybody outta their universes from all over the timelines all willy nilly and literally no one has willingly escaped yet.

Weiss is probably going to get pissed if you pull parts off her welcoming holograms.

Yup. I think most people go right to denial because of how screwed up it is. "Oh it's not so bad," they all go.

That's the "holo humie in a skirt." She's basically in charge of one of the sub-cities right now and works all hard to try and make the prison a productive habitat. You shouldn't care. I'm just making a notation that she's going to be annoyed as heck later. So many people wanna pull that thing apart or break it when they get here for some reason. What are you going to use the parts for?

I wouldn't disassemble it if I were you. Mostly because they'll just replace it. But hey that would mean endless parts, right?

That is if the could use the parts means what I think it does.
