Bond 007 [Video/Action] Post-Circus

[Action] All the Regrets (May 6)

[There are two emotions that Professor Sycamore is feeling right now, which is regret and embarrassment. After the events in Cirque du Vrai, he began to regret every action he took from that night. From cheating to shamelessly flirting every woman in the circus, he knew that the people he knew won't treat him the same again. Not only that, he also can't forget the Showstopper event where he was unfortunately ended up drunk and unconscious afterward. Even after seeing his Garchomp again after he recovered from his drunken stupor, he is still unable to forgive himself for his actions.

Right now as he currently in his day-off for most of his jobs, you may be seeing in the cafe, the park, or the Bay as he is still contemplating about the circus while being guilty of his own actions.]

[Video] Apology After the Circus (May 12)

[It's only been a week now after his mental recovery, he decides to put up a video feed to let most of his feelings out for now. As he starts the video, you can see him inside of his own apartment, who is a little depressed because of the previous events.]

Hello there. I'm sorry I didn't update for a while, but I needed to make sure I need to get this off my chest after what transpired. And even though I don't know if you met me at Cirque de Vrai last month or you have no knowledge about it, but all I can say is that I'm in that circus that night.

Of course, I just wanted to say I'm sorry for my own behavior and the terrible actions I made that night. To be honest, I can't seem to control myself and once I regained my own senses after that, I realized how I acted as well the misdeeds I did to some of the residents around me.

I don't know if you forgive me or not, I just want to say regret what I've done and I'll do what I can to make it up to you.

[Once that's over, he then waits for any replies while still contemplating about the events that took place on that circus.]

[What better way to get your mind off shamelessly flirting on cute young ladies than to run into a-- cute... young lady... oh. This will go well, won't it?

Not that Tori has any idea of what's happened with Sycamore, so when she sees him in the park, she's quick to wave him down and run up to him.]

Professor!

[On one hand, he is happy to see Tori once more. But on the other hand, he is unable to talk to other women for now because of his shameful actions.

Still, he can't ignore her greeting. Yet, he speaks in a low tone as he hangs his head to prevent him from seeing her face.]

Oh, hello there, Tori.

[She'd been smiling when she approached him, but that quickly changes into a frown when she notices that he doesn't sound happy at all, not to mention that he doesn't seem to be able to even look at her.]

...hey, what's up? Did something happen? [For a moment, paranoia hits her -- did I do something? -- but she's quick to shake it off. No, there's no way she did anything. It's just her fear of people turning on her talking.] This sort of attitude isn't like you, you know?

[Oh boy... Now he made her worried. Guess he has no choice but to face her onwards...]

Oh, I'm sorry... Something just happened to me and...

Let's just say I somehow unable to control myself when the circus came to town...

Oh, yeah... there was a circus that came through, wasn't there? [For whatever reason, she didn't go.] I guess it's for the best that I didn't go, huh? But still, how weren't you able to control yourself?

[She's reminded of an incident a long, long time ago in Genessia -- one that made her hunger for various things. Attention and approval from Zelos, more intimate acts from Jeb... is it something like that? She won't know until Sycamore answers her.

Whatever it is, it sure has him feeling bad about himself, doesn't it? She doesn't like that. He's such a sweet guy, from what she's seen of him. Sweet people deserve to feel good about themselves.]

I don't know. It happened so fast.

I thought I just come to the circus to enjoy my time off from my work, but instead, I ended up doing some misdeeds and embarrassing choices. Worst of all, I can't even control my own feelings and thoughts when that happened.

[He then covers his face with both of his hands, now completely guilty at what he did.]

I can't even know if some of the people I met are the people I knew so far...

[...yes, that sounds a lot like what happened to her back then. Maybe even worse, if the amount of guilt Sycamore seems to be feeling is taken into account.

She takes a couple steps forward, gently placing a hand on top of the one of the ones covering his face. Maybe it's a bold move -- she half expects him to jerk away -- but she's trying to be comforting.]

It doesn't sound like it's your fault, you know? If you couldn't control yourself, there probably was something else involved. [She tries to keep her voice as gentle as her touch.] Besides, if you don't know who you met that night... well, maybe they don't know who you were, either. Even if they do, I bet they'll forgive you for whatever you did. They'll understand that it wasn't in your control.

[She has a point. Also now that he thinks about it before he entered the circus that night, his original intention is to have fun during his time off. But once he entered it, his thoughts began to change his intentions to flirting with other women and using his Pokemon to cheat.

Not to mention that most of the circus-goers wore masks as part of the requirements to enter the circus.]

You're right... I just hope the people I met back at the circus will forgive my actions afterward. I just forgive myself if they won't.

[Since he hasn't moved away from her touch, she keeps her hand where it is for the moment.]

Hey, I'm sure they will. I mean, who could hold anything against a nice guy like you, huh? They just need to see the real you, that's all! [Because something tells her that they didn't. That's likely the biggest difference between what happened to Sycamore and what happened to her way back when -- deep down, Tori knows the feelings she felt back then were just amplified versions of things she feels all the time.] Besides, maybe they're in the same boat. With a place like this, I doubt this just hit you, you know? They might be feeling just as bad.

[Oh yeah, now that she mentioned it, he wonders how the other circus-goers were affected by the circus's influences as well once he sees other posts such as Ted's and Anastasia's on his phone.]

I can see that in the other residents' posts right now. Maybe I'll try contacting them just in case.

[And judging by what she said, he wonders if she didn't visit the circus as well.]</small By the way, how are you and your Pokemon lately?

[She allows her hand to drop once he decides to check up on posts. She grins, then winks at him.]

It's worth a shot, right? [She laughs, looking off to the side.] I'm doing fine. Just living life day by day, you know? As for my Pokemon, they're doing great!

That's great to hear. What about your boyfriend's?

They're doing pretty well too, even if his Inkay and Grovyle don't exactly get along... his Kangaskhan does a pretty good job at keeping the peace though, and his Pikachu's good at just not getting involved in all that~

[She's doing her best to not use the nicknames some of these Pokemon have, since she knows the professor isn't aware of Jeb's nicknames for his Pokemon, only the nickname of one of hers.]

[He then chuckles at the thought of Jeb's Pokemon Tori mentioned. Other than a little quarrel between Inkay and Grovyle from her explanation, he can tell that they are doing fine.]

I see. Well, in case your boyfriend does have some troubles regarding those two, just let me know, okay?

[An eager nod.]

Of course I will! Who better to ask for advice than the guy who's devoted his life to these little guys, right? [She twirls a bit of her hair around her finger.] See, this is why I say people will forgive you eventually. You're just... so nice, you know?

[Unlike her. Sure, she's sociable and certainly better than she used to be, but she knows she has a nasty streak underneath everything. It just makes her admire people who are actually kind even more, really.]

[Thanks to her words, Sycamore manages to completely bring his smile back, now relieved that his worries are gone.]

[She can't help but laugh and wink.]

Oh, so you know you're a nice guy? That's not very humble of you~ [She lets out another laugh before her expression softens.] I'm kidding, of course.

[Sycamore chuckled lightly as he is relieved to see how Tori cheered him up with her words.]

I guess I am. At least that's one positive thing about myself.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. This place has a history of psychic attacks that manifest in alterations to one's mental state. It happens to many, regardless of psychic ability. It's why I stayed away from the circus. I suspected something like that would happen.

Still, it should not be held against you.

I can see what you mean. Guess that means there are some phenomena that cause me to do anything against my will.

Looks like I have to be careful about them next time.

It's a phenomena I've been attempting to study in my free time, however I've come up empty in all my attempts to gain any kind of knowledge about it.

That said, given the indiscriminate nature of these 'events', I doubt many - if any - will hold your actions against you.

[Guess that means he is also interested in the strange phenomena that were happening in Genessia like that Pokemon event and that circus.]

I know. But I'm more worried about the other people I met at the circus. I just hope they can recover after the circus controlled their thoughts just like me.

Still, I'm just glad you managed to avoid the circus and its influences.

These things tend to operate on a timer of some sort. Once the time is up, everyone effected is returned to normal at the same instant.

I've come to make it routine to simply hole up in my sanctuary any time one of these things happen.

I understand. So there is a pattern whenever these strange events and phenomena occur and despite the effects, it is temporary no matter what.

[The only problem for him right now is to avoid it and unlike Mewtwo, he's neither a Psychic-type or a Pokemon to know what's coming for this city.]

This is certainly a strange city indeed.

I can't really explain this, but the circus is really responsible for my actions.

It's just that this city has these strange phenomena that happened around it and the other cities and this circus is no exception.
