[Ildikó hasn’t made it this far in life panicking and not paying attention and so, when she wakes up in what it seems like a fancy metal coffin, her only reaction is a mild irritation. After confirming that she still has most of her weapons, the woman studies the information handled to her and checks her surroundings to confirm this is not a familiar land. Oh well, weirdest things had happened. When Ildikó finally decides to give the communicator a try, she turns it on while holding it upside down and muttering to himself.]

This looks like the kind of trinket the alchemist’s guild would have a field day with, how do you even…? Oh!

[The device is flipped when Ildikó realizes that she’s been holding it upside down and her face comes to view. Two of her arms are crossed under her chest, the other gesticulates around and the fourth is holding the communicator. Why, yes, there are fourth of them. She also carries a khopesh sword and a lot of smaller weapons that aren't so noticeable]

I need a stiff drink, a proper explanation, and some company. Not necessary in that order. [She could really go for a smoke too and this is the sort of situation that makes her wish she didn’t quit years ago.] Has anyone here seen my mother? Old hag with white hair, white and wrinkly skin, a scar on her lip and the charming personality of a wet cat. Might be drinking herself to death in some tavern.

[She loves her mom, really. This is just how they interact, constantly.]

And girls…[She’s addressing her mercenary team in case the Atheris can see this.] If this is some sort of joke like that one time where we all got black-out drunk after Miarialle’s wedding…First, I thank you not at least leaving me with my clothes on this time. And second...you better get your asses moving and come pick me up or I’m going to be very displeased.

I would suggest the Velvet Lust for the stiff drink, but a proper explanation is harder to come by. If you've read the brochures you know about as much as anyone does why and how we were brought here, or how we can return home.

[She doesn't even know what an alien is but sure, let's go by that.

There are, however, many who pick up bounties for payment to take care of any criminal activity. Perhaps you could find a place in such work.

That's it, yes. Whoever brought me here was nice, or foolish enough, to let me have most of my weapons.

Sounds like my kind of thing. Where do I have to go to know more about it? The hologram mentioned the employment building but bounty hunters rarely know how to follow laws.

There are bulletin boards in every city that give information for available bounties and the newspaper also announces some of them. In some cities you will have to register first for anything to be considered legal or else you may find a bounty on your own head.

As for the ships. They travel through the stars. Going from planet to planet though many worlds.

While I was given an explanation I wouldn't consider it a proper one.

It's not especially consistent, either in its results or how long it takes to get them, but I'm relatively certain those who do it leave. Whether they get back I don't know; that's the hope. All you need to do is succumb to oblivion. Lose your will to live, give up any interest in the world or those who live in it. Become an island, basically. Utterly sterile, devoid of meaning. Do all that, and I'm sure the world will expel you sooner or later.

[She doesn't seem mad, however, and gives his explanaiton some thought.]

[Oh, that sort sure. Ildikó's mom is anything but a subtle woman.]

[She's not sure what a newspaper is but she rather figures it out on her own than ask about it now. Because I've met Death Spirits plenty of times before and they're not so bad. Death is not the issue. How you'll die and how long it will take, is the real problem.
