[Action in Genessia]
The call had gone out. Genessia was under attack. Not by some upstart that showed up and thought he could take on the world. No, this was a proper invasion. Extradimensional spirits of some sort, but this was Dante's wheelhouse. Blaze had told him to hold nothing back, so he was going to do just that.
He spent a short minute at his shop getting ready, making sure Ebony and Ivory were locked and loaded, but more importantly, he took a moment to remark to the large blade that hung behind his desk that it was time to come out of retirement. He left Rebellion in the shop, hefting the massive blade onto his shoulder and began marching for the gate connecting Genessia and Attleton.
He did a once-over to check what Blaze had set up, thrusting the point of Sparda into the ground as he cracked every joint in his body methodically. If nothing else, the jokey nature that Dante held so close to his chest was gone, replaced with a grim determination befitting a demon.
"You guys hold down the fort. I've got an army to kill."
He places one hand on Sparda's hilt, yanking it from the ground before a small smirk - one of almost sadistic glee rather than lightheartedness - creeps into his features. "Try to keep up old man."
As if in response, Dante was quickly engulfed in crimson lightning that soon erupted into a geyser of light and power. Gone was the coat clad Dante, replaced with what could only be called a Dark Knight. Without a moment's hesitation, he sped off into Genessia, the massive blade cutting a swath of destruction as he goes, leaving nothing of the invading spectres in his wake.

"I'll try, but you better leave some of that for me later. Not the most practical of combat gear, but you won't hear me complaining."

"Very well. I'll be on support, and repair any damages in your wake. This is one of your few chances to unleash your power, so you don't have to worry about being careful. This world of glass is all yours, dear."
Ayame calls back to their first conversation, and the topic that sparked their connection with each other. While she does take drastic measures to stop herself from destroying things, she doesn't feel the need to let loose as much as Dante.
"-then we should celebrate afterwards, with a round of drinks and a full night to ourselves"
She gives a suggestive chuckle, flattered and amused that Dante compliments her dress. He's not the one for formal parties, so she just sent him some saucy pictures of herself earlier.

"Have I ever told you just how sexy you are? Because hoo buddy you are sexy as hell right now."
He holsters Ivory, leaning in for a kiss as Sparda starts its return trip.

"A few times, but I don't mind being reminded. Especially by the winner of Genessia's sexiest male award"
Ayame chuckles and closes her eyes in anticipation of that kiss, but it was clear the spirits don't care for public displays of affection. Ayame knows about them, but chooses to ignore it and focus all her attention on this moment and live out a fantasy of her's. She's been watching too many movies.

"I actually won that? Huh. Wonder if I'd still win it looking like this. Now, to kick some ass so we can get to the after party."
He rights Ayame gently, channeling his power into the blade, and with a single swing lets loose a wave of expanding energy that cuts through anything unfortunate enough to be in its wake. ...Including one or two buildings.

Ayame responds while she gets assisted in standing back up, she remains there while she observes Dante in battle while in his demonic form, feeling the metaphysical pressure coming from his power. She feels the strength from that swing and the energy from the waves that coursed through the street and onto the buildings. To which, Ayame was quick to respond with a wave of her hand, to put the buildings back together.

He gives her a wink before speeding off once more, leaving a trail of destruction and carnage in his wake.

Hey, uh, Dante? I think your invasion's here.
Audio
Already on it, and kicking ass. Up for a little wager in all this?
Audio
That depends. You know where I can pick up something that'll work on these things?
Audio -> Action
[And true to his word, Dante steps out from behind something or other near Peter's location a couple minutes later with an odd looking device in his hands.]
This should give those spirits a nasty kick. It's called the Nightmare Beta. Fires arrows of demonic energy that lock onto anything you deem an enemy. Just be careful. Demonic weaponry is notorious for draining the stamina of people.
Re: Audio -> Action
So what you're saying is only shoot when I have to?
[Odd though the thing may look, it at least sounded awesome to him. And he'd done pretty okay with a weapon that should have killed him before.]
Now, what's this wager you've got in mind?
Action
[After all, the whole half-breed thing probably gave Peter a bit more leeway in that regard.]
Starting now, whoever sends the most of these spirit bastards back to wherever they came from gets a round of booze from the other. How 'bout it?
Re: Action
[He turns the thing over in his hands, but smirks at Dante and the challenge.]
Works for me. I'll catch up with you after the crazy.

Still, Blaze was happy for Dante's determination on this front. It was a moral booster for him too, even if the looks of that sword he carried was pretty intimidating.]
We'll keep things covered here, you come back in one piece. Good luck, Dante.
[Blaze shields his eyes from that sudden geyser of light, and even he's in a brief instance of shock at the sight of what Dante'd become, but he'd only be left in surprise as he watched his deputy speed off. Those spirits sure didn't know what was coming.
At least things were off to a good start?]
