Hello. [Belle holds the device like it's a mirror and while she's getting better at using it, she continues to appear a little awkward in her continuance as she addresses the screen.] My name is Belle and I had found a crystal that had a recording on it. [It takes a great deal of self control for Belle not to call it a magical crystal.]

I believe it's the first in the series and while I know others have found something similar I'd like to present the information for those interested to see.

[She pauses for a moment and then continues.]

I've transcribed what was in the crystal and what the woman I saw said. If anyone wishes to see it please let me know. I hope to donate the crystal but I'm not sure where. I know that there are many research facilities so any directions would be helpful.

[With that Belle flicks off the video.]

Hello Belle, it's nice to see you again.

Cassian has one of those crystals, they seems to store information in a similar way to the holoprojectors in my home. [And then Kay remembers who is he talking with.]

A holoprojector is a device that shows moving pictures, usually in light blue, and with sound.

Thank you. [She smiles softly and once again considers herself lucky to have met K2SO.]

It's nice to see you too. Do you know if his crystal is numbered? I'm not sure if we can get the full message or not. Or even if they've all been found.

You are welcome. [He's glad he got to meet Belle too and enjoys their conversations.]

I don't think they are but I only saw the memory in Cassian's crystal once. Maybe we should gather all the crystals in one place, play the memories, and see if we can figure out their order. If they do have an order, that's it.

I'm not sure who else has them. I know that a woman named Liv is trying to do something like that. I want to as well but I also wanted to transcribe the message so that it was available for those who couldn't see it.

I assumed that mine was first but I could be wrong. The woman introduces herself to it and it sounds like the start of something more.

Liv, Liv....ah! A blond woman, right? I think I saw her posts.

Do you think the messages could tell us something important about this world? Cassian's memory is about a woman named Atty having a fight with a man, I think his brother since she mentions their father. They are also talking about someone who died.

Yes. I spoke to her about the crystal as well.

I'm not sure. It appears to be some sort of documentation. The woman is named Atty and she calls it Population Advancement Center. I'm not very sure what that means though.

Ah, good.

Population advancement...? [ay optics shifts slightly.] I never heard anybody mention that before. Maybe someone from Weiss Company might knows more? Sorry I can't be of much help.

You're fine. It's good just to hear from you.

[Belle offers the robot a small smile.]

I'm sure with all the crystals we will learn more.

[Because this is easier.]

You found a crystal with a message? I would love to see it.

[You can donate it to me. This is probably a bad idea, though.]

I'd be happy to show it to you. If you are free I can bring it by.

Yes, though not the work you'd expect. May your way to Fayren, and seek out the guild Fairy Tail. Ask for Instructor Pavus. They'll show you to my office.

[A light smile touches her voice as she hangs up and heads to where Dorian had instructed. It's her first time to Fayren and while she doesn't get lost she does take her time to see the small town before making her way towards the Fairy Tail guild. It's a curious name for a guild but Belle supposed that magician's were curious people.

She is promptly directed to his office where she gently knocks on the door before opening it.]

[While Dorian loved his job at Cloak and Dagger, being in a school made him feel more, well, at home, really. He'd been in one circle or another for most of his life, when he wasn't making a fool of himself in a tavern at any rate.

It also pleased him to have an office to call his own.

He smiles as she opens the door, making a motion toward a chair.]

Belle! I'm glad you could make it! Have a seat.

[Belle's expression softens as she walks in to take a seat.]

Thank you for seeing me. [He seems very important here.]

This is the first time I've seen Fayren. It's beautiful here.

[He laughs at her propriety. It's not that it isn't appreciated, really. It's only that, well, Dorian grew up knowing he was going to be treated as exceptionally important, but not feeling his friends, regardless of birth, should treat him as such.]

Fayren is, indeed, beautiful, but also...well, not quite as was as I'd prefer it.

[Okay, he's really glad he actually has an office, alright?]

Do you like my office?

[Belle smiles softly before allowing her gaze to sweep the room.]

It is lovely. Are all of these yours?

[She gestures to the books.]

[He casts his gaze about the room before shaking his head slowly.]

No, not all. Some I've borrowed from the Guild library...and...need to be returned, but that, my dear Belle, is beside the point today.

[We're not talking about my tardy books, alright? He moves to his desk, which is much less than a tidy affair, and moves aside a few stacks of papers to clear a spot atop it's surface.]

Let's see this crystal.

[Belle has to hide her smile as she turns her attention back to Dorian. She retrieves the crystal from her pocket and passes it over to him so that he'd be able to take a look at the curious artifact.]

Perhaps you'll let me look threw some of them one day.

[She doesn't know magic and can't learn magic but that doesn't mean that she can't read and expand what she does know.]

It's something similar to the devices here but I've never seen it's likeness.

[He makes a non-committal motion toward the shelves.]

You're welcome to, of course. You're trustworthy enough.

[He smiles as she passes him the crystal. It isn't unlike the same ones they enchant on Thedas for storage and voice 'sending'.]

Yes. I imagine there aren't many of these lying around small villages. I take it you've worked out how to activate it?

Thank you.

[She's flattered and a little excited to take a look though perhaps at another time.]

Yes. Here.

[Belle presses he crystal and as easily as she does the message begins to play.]

[Dorian made not of how she activated it, and after the video played once, he replayed it again, scribbling notes hastily one a strap of parchment the second time around.]

Absorption of emotions...? [It was spoken soften, as he tapped the end of his pen against his lips thoughtfully.] ...the spirits are similar...those without, that is, they...

...coincidence? Certainly not. Experimentation with magic has unpredicted consequences all the time...

[And he finally looks at Belle.] Do you know if anyone else found one of these?

I have heard of at least one other. Cassian, the new Guardian of Attleton. I was told that he had one.

Other than that I know that Liv is trying to get all of them together. I don't know how many there are in total.

[She settles in her seat, sitting with her hands in her lap whenever Dorian is holding the crystal.]

[He returns the crystal to her readily enough. He'd like nothing more than to see them all together himself, but there are others, far more familiar with 'technology' than he was, who were getting suited to researching this particular stratum.]

Perhaps you should give it to this Liv, then, and see what she's able to come up with. I would like nothing better than to handle the research, but there are others far better equipped than I.

[Belle places the crystal in the folds of her skirts before looking back up at Dorian. She plans to take it to the research institute soon.]

I plan too.

[She flashes him a smile.]

If I learn more I can let you know.

Splendid! [He smiles. Most people would be being sarcastic at such a response. Dorian...actually means it that way.]

I look forward to hearing from you. [He motions toward his shelves.] And you are free to browse. I, [He taps a stack of thick parchments laid atop his desk.] Actually have work to do as well. I can multi-task, though. They're only written works by students.

[Belle flashes him an excited smile before turning towards the bookshelves.] Thank you.

[She slowly ran her finger over the covers before picking up what she suspects is a history sort of book about magic. She opens the book and slowly begins to flip through it. If Dorian is willing to let her stay and read while occupying a free chair, she'd be the happiest girl in the world.]

This is amazing.

[He chuckles at her reaction, though doesn't look up from his work. He can be diligent, after all. He does nod, though.]

Naturally. It's about magic, after all.

[Belle smiles at him though her eyes remain glued to the book in her hand.]

I love reading these theories. If this is true then magic is like energy. [Her father had been a toy maker and she'd learned a lot from him over the years. She knows how gears work and how effort is transferred from one thing to another. Magic appears to be very similar though shaped by someones will and focus.]

[ooc: want to hand wave from here? Belle will keep dorking out.]

[It's more than a bit awkward to talk to Belle again after their first interaction. He still feels guilty for how he acted around everyone. Except Liv. Liv was too absorbed in treat yourself brains so he doubts it even bothered her. Most of the time, brains suck.]

Hi, Belle. I think Dr. Olivia Moore is trying to put together a timeline for those crystals. You can trust her, and I'm pretty sure hiding information is against GSRF's whole policy.

[Belle doesn't mind very much. She's used to guys being jerks.]

I have spoken to her briefly. She set out a message to a similar affect I believe though I don't know if she had found a crystal as well.

[She pauses, her teeth worrying into her lower lip.]

What is the GSRF?

Where did you find that crystal?

And yes, actually I would like to see it.

It was in a cavern.

[In a place that was dangerous. In the sort of danger that she told Ten she'd avoid...]

Can you show me?

I can but it might be easier in person. Could you stop by my house this evening?

[Friendly eye wink]

[And when eveningish comes there's a knock on her door]

[Belle answers the door in a floral dress, rather similar to the blue one she'd worn last time they'd seen each other. There is a smile on her lips as she beckons him inside.]

Please sit. The crystal is sitting on the coffee table if you'd like to take a look. Would you like some tea?

[He's seen her apartment before. The only thing that's changed is that her small garden has grown some, with that same rose at the center of it.]

Hallo. Good evening.

[Ten gives Belle a non sexy eye wink and lets himself in and takes a seat]

Yes, please.

[He does note the garden and the rose in the center of that]

Alright - let's see what we have here.

[He takes out his sonic screwdriver, picks up the crystal and blue lights up and makes a strange buzzing sound as Ten scans the crystal and proceeds to lick the crystal]

[Belle laughs softly.]

Do you want me to tell you how to turn it on? It's been in my pocket for some time. I don't think it takes very good.

Would you like tea?

[Her roommate loves tea and always keeps some in the cupboard.]

[Nothing strange about the taste and nothing unusual found with the sonic and continues to finger the crystal in trying to figure out how this is turned on. There's a nonverbal head nod and then a verbal]

Yes, that would be lovely.

[The crystal plays a curious message. About halfway through Belle joins the Doctor on the couch, placing a steaming cup of tea in front of him for when he's ready.]

[She nods her head towards the crystal.]

[Ten listens to the recording and as soon as the common cold can be cured; brilliant - whatever you are but but just because you can - doesn't mean you should and the more he hears the more this sounds like trying to genetically create the perfect multiverse creature. Which he wonders if that's where the abilities that are given up go and sort of wishes he hadn't gotten so Tardis needy and given up some of his own abilities bad enough his time sight was gone upon arriving here and side eyes the reintegrate criminals project and wondering if that involves brainwashing rather really trying to better them - because really trying to better someone is a long but natural process and the last part about the flowers being able to distribute mental attributes of positive or negative emotions that is brainwashing and feels like a lab rat. After being quiet for some time with his hands folded looks over at Belle and states]

Don't smell strange flowers.

[This sounds like some crazy Rasslion thing; with how Rasslion played with Time Lord DNA so that they could regenerate into 12 different bodies and their previous minds uploaded to the matrix but the real question is -

what is the ultimate goal here?

And they're being studied. All of them with their genetic make up]

[Belle doesn't understand.

She takes a seat next to him on the couch, sipping tentatively on her tea. She knows that something is going on in the Doctors head but she isn't sure what it is. She'll wait for him to be ready to tell her, if he isn't ready now.]

I think there are 5 other crystals.

Thar were flowers in some of the spirits from when the barrier broke loose.

Just don't do it, alright?

[Then gives a head nod]

I saw Liv put a post asking for what crystals that people found.

I promise I won't.

[It's at least a promise she knows she can keep.]

Yes. I was going to offer this to Liv after I've let those interested take a look at it.

[Ten gives Belle a big smile]

[She returns his smile with one of her own.]
