{ S A D A F U M I }
[The last thing he recalled? The group riding out, away from the burning memories. Memories, because that mass of flames was no longer Sotoba Village, nor would it ever be...ever again. Everything was over and done with. There were people he'd never see again, people he'd never get to watch...grow into an old ma--
Heh, who the hell was he kidding? That last part was about his son, clearly. His son, who was taken well before his time. In the time it took to load into the trucks and...breathe, the realization that he was still there while his family was gone had really hit him. It'd finally sunk in that he was...still there. The questions of "how" and "for what reason" started to creep in. It wasn't something he'd let his mind dwell on when it had been time for fighting to keep everyone safe. Everyone that was still human, anyway. It'd been so easy, when all he'd been focusing on was revenge. When he'd let that dark feeling sink into his heart and swarm into his soul, it'd been a fucking cakewalk to make decisions and stick with them.
While in the truck, however, everything had instantaneously begun to change. New thoughts and feelings began to take form, leaving him with one sinking question: what was left, after all the killing was done?
What the hell was he left with?
Of course, all that questioning was put to an abrupt end after the first night in that hotel. When he awakened, he wasn't in the last place he remembered being. Instead of a hotel room, he was in some strange...cocoon...thing. Instead of just his lone pack of cigarettes and lighter, he found himself with an assortment of items. After checking them out, he was immediately heading to the exit and lifting his hat to peer out at his new setting.
Okay, it was either a very realistic dream, the result of him losing his mind, ...or that paper wasn't lying. Either way? He was sighing, flicking the pack of cigarettes so that one popped out, and pressing the butt of it between his lips. Without a pause, he was lighting it. Through an exhaled breath, he let the words flow out in a somewhat exasperated tone.]
...Well, this is certainly one hell of a thing to wake up to.

[What the hell was this bullshit?
Bad enough that he was taken suddenly from his world, but then to be taken AGAIN? And people wondered why he was so on edge. The first thing he did as he awoke in the pod was kick the damn thing, because it only took him a few seconds to realize something was up and terribly wrong.
One of those terrible things? His best friend was fucking gone again, and even though he couldn't be sure, he just knew he wasn't here. Same way he had just known that post in the journal not long ago had been him. But probably even worse than that was the horrible wave of guilt, regret, and failure that settled over him knowing he had just been taken away from his crew during a moment they would need him the most.
This sucked man.
He lets out a sigh and looks at the pamphlet, and then the strange device. So rather than a magical journal he actually gets a logical piece of technology for his communication needs. He could do without the necklace though, he really wasn't the type of guy for jewelry. Well whatever, he wraps it around his wrist, barely visible underneath the jacket he was wearing, and then lifts himself out of the pod.]
Huh…[He heard the voice before he saw the man, but there was no mistake.] The hell are you doing here?
[Did you miss him Sadafumi, because he’s missed you, and even with that confused expression theirs a glimmer in his eye.]

[Oh, well, damn...Looks like he's not alone, after all. Good to know.
Not that he'd really expected to be. Hell, the last person he'd spoken to? The guy standing right there. Well, he wouldn't be able to say he'd missed the guy, since it'd been a matter of hours, at most, since he last saw him. The blond was giving him a surprised blink, before lightly smirking.]
Nice to see you, too. [Then, the smirk faded and he was moving a hand to his pocket and looking off to the side- well, more like, out towards...where ever he was guessing the nearest town or city was?] Any idea what the hell's goin' on? [He snatched the pamphlet from the pocket his hand had been in, and then slapped the folded paper into the palm of his other hand.] This thing made it sound like it's not even a big deal. If this is a mass kidnapping, someone went through a serious amount of trouble.
[His expression darkened a bit.] Think they'd do something like this just to get revenge...?
["They", of course, being the shiki. Then, he pulled the device from his other pocket and began fidgeting with it, unintentionally activating the video feature.] Still haven't figured out how this damn thing works... Oh, wait, I think it's on. Hm...
[There's a view of his face, then the view of Toshio's face as Sadafumi smirks and points the lens in the doctor's direction. Oh, hey, looks like he's figured it out.] Go on, say hi, Young Doctor. ♥
[No, but, now he's going to look serious, because the moment IS serious. He's well aware of that fact.] I saw something on here about other people waking up just as lost as we are. We should figure out who all's here and put our heads together. We'd be one step closer to getting home, that way, right?

Hm? [He glances up at him, and then blows out a burst of smoke.] No, they don't have the capability for something on this scale. [And he was 100% of that. After all he was also positive they were not on the same planet anymore.]
What I know is that this isn't the Earth we know, we woke up on a beach, and we could very well be from different timelines, maybe even dimensions.
[And he says that rather flatly, because it was true, and after everything that happened back in Sotoba he could give less of a fuck if Sadafumi believed him or not.]
[He takes another drag of his cigarette as the other fucks around with the device. But his eyes turn back towards him when he mentions it being on.]
Fuck off.
[Yeah he's in a bad mood, and really doesn't want to be on camera so he's just going to lift a hand over his face until it turns away. He breathes out more smoke, taking the moment to think about a good answer to the older man’s suggestion.]
For all we know some of these people could very well be the perpetrators. I think it would be safer to do some investigation on our own before we gather everyone. Besides, we'll have a better chance of convincing them all to work with us if we already have a plan of action to present.
