[Text//Action for Bay Area]
[First off, anyone in the general vicinity of the Bay can likely hear a high-pitched horrified scream as Amaya wakes up and realizes she isn't in the comfort of her home. Of course her first reaction is to panic. She hadn't been outside her personal sanctum since her father had found her. While she had her personal phone on her, it didn't seem to have any reception, so she had to find some wayto call the police or...something.
Despite having cramps throughout the vast majority of her body from being crammed into that pod thing, or whatever it was, Amaya slithered as fast as she could to shore, trying to find an inconspicuous spot to look through the contents of the box that was in the pod with her. And of course, none of it looked familiar, but at least one item was a phone! She could use that!]
SOS! Help!
I've been kidnapped!
[That's all she managed to get out. Hopefully it was enough. Maybe her location would've helped though.]

[ Mariko quips, never raising her voice even a bit, remaining as calm and dry as usual as if this isn't the first time she's met someone like Amaya. ]
None of us here have made full sense of why we're here, or how. All we know is that we're here, and we just learn to deal with it. Sounds easier than it is once you see the cities.
[ Mariko shrugs ]
Alright, since I'm a nice person, how about I come pick you up? Would that make you feel better?
[ Gotta tank the noob so she can git gud ]
no subject
I'm not interested in seeing the cities.
If you want to assist me, you'll need a truck or a van.
[No, she's not going to explain.]
no subject
[ Mariko just chose not to prod into that further, despite the nagging curiosity it gave her after closing the chat window on her phone. A truck? Now that's curious. But thanks to her ability to fly, Mariko arrives about fifteen minutes to Genessia City and onto the Bay, landing near the entrance. ]
I'm here now if you still are
[ She sends the text, sighing to herself: ]
Why am I doing this?
[ Mariko asks herself, still wearing just a sleeveless t-shirt with a shark design and a pair of cute gym shorts, like she just crawled out of bed. ]
Helloooo?
[ Mariko leans forward and calls out to this new person from the lip of the entrance, hearing her voice echo ]
no subject
I'm still here.
[If her vision is good, Mariko might catch the glimpse of someone hiding behind a large rock, poking at her phone. She glances back when she hears the voice, before frantically typing.]
Don't run. Please.
[Even then, there's at least a minute or two between the text and the time Amaya...slithers out from behind her makeshift hiding space. The poor woman looks like a nervous wreck, provided her 'rescuer' noticed anything other than the rather serpentine body that followed her.]
no subject
The text she got from Amaya distracted Mariko momentarily while Amaya slithers her way from the Bay. When Mariko looks up, her eyes widen at seeing a woman with a serpentine half. ]
Whoa!
[ Mariko jumps back from surprise, but she didn't summon a weapon out or fall to the ground. It took her a moment of staring to get her mind back to its composed state ]
You're a snake?! I mean, that's okay here and all. But I didn't bring a truck!
no subject
W-well, technically I'm a Lamia, FYI.
[And then she just...slumps over a bit.]
I can't travel through the city like this! SMH.
[She can be fast, but not THAT fast.]
no subject
Uh-huh. Why are you talking in net speak?
[ Priorities, Mariko. ]
no subject
IDK. I just do.
[A pause. She's never really thought about it, it's just something she picked up after getting into online gaming.]
That's not important though! What am I supposed to do now?
no subject
[ Mariko sighs, muttering that to herself ]
I don't really know, what with you being a huge and all. I don't think the Commonspace would be too comfortable for you...
[ Mariko scratches the back of her head, really stumped on what to do and say to Amaya. ]
Good news is, no one here would care that you're a lamia... Do you have the money you woke up with? You're gonna need it. There's a ryokan that's pretty neat and welcoming to new people like you. It's a little bigger, and has a hot spring that would fit you.
no subject
H-huge? [Oh wow, she's taking that very personally. The wreck of a snake-girl coils up a bit to try and look smaller.]
Maybe? I think? Is it in the box? Is the spring private?
[Hopefully Mariko is ready for ALL THE QUESTIONS. Because she's going to get them all.]
no subject
Yeah. You can request it to be private, I guess.
[ Mariko is in a state of regret right now, but also somewhat happy that she's being helpful and useful for once. Most of the time she spends here in Genessia is only for her self-interests. Plus she gets to see a real flesh and blood lamia, just like the ones in her Japanese animes ]
Come on, I'll show you the way. What's your name?
no subject
[That's not very reassuring! And that didn't answer the rest of her questions! Amaya is definitely flesh and blood, but she's certainly not what comes to mind when one thinks of a lamia.]
W-wait, where are we going?
no subject
[ Mariko turns around and starts walking away immediately ]
Seriously, what do I call you?
no subject
[Well, at least she knows she has some money despite not having her credit/debit cards on hand. Wait. Does that mean she's been cut off from her fortune? As Mariko begins walking off, the snake-girl gasps and slithers to catch up, which...is not a difficult task.]
Amaya. My name is Amaya.
