Hello good people, I'm Captain Jack Harkness and I was hoping someone might be able to point me to a group called Torchwood if it exists here. Or if anyone knows of a man called the Doctor...I'd like to consult with him if he's around.

No I forgave him a long time ago. I had to. the other people...well one of them isn't a person per say, but they are not the Doctor.

[The Master is another "person" Jack hopes never, ever shows up here. Ten would break under the strain of knowing what happened during the Year that Never Was and Martha...dear strong sweet Martha Jones if she knew her future with the man might not survive him either.]

[Without thinking Jack shrugs off his greatcoat and drapes it over Rose's shoulders leaving him in a dark blue dress shirt, wool pants and gray suspenders the same clothes he'd been wearing at Esther's funeral.]

Believe me you'll know when one of them gets here because I won't be letting them near you or the Doctor. Ever.

{Jack can't help the chuckle that escapes as he remembers Alice once trying the same move when she was little before her mother had banned him from seeing them more than once a year. His heart throbbed with the memory and he shook his head to shake the sadness away.]

How can I be afraid of anything when I have one of the famous Tyler women watching my shapely backside.
