[It had taken dear William quite a bit to figure out how to actually work the communicator. Attempting to decipher words that he had never heard of was quite the task but eventually, with a bit of poking about, he managed to turn on the video function.

He blinks a bit and taps the screen, chewing the inside of his lip before finally speaking.]

My name is Will Turner...I suppose all of you have awakened in the same manner that I did, so I'll not articulate that surprise.

I do wish to know where I may find some accommodations beyond those assigned to me.

[Work would come later, he knew. He was a master blacksmith and now had skills for seafaring and repairing ships. There had to be something he could possibly do.]

Well, there's plenty of places to stay. The trick would be finding one you could afford with the bit of money you start out with.

[He thinks a moment.]

There's a couple motels here in Genessia you could stay at. Though if you're looking for something a bit more permanent, you might want to try the Stone Ridge apartment building on Dogwood and 16th. It's pretty basic, but still better than the rooms they start you out with.

There should be a booth not too far from you that has written information, as well as a map to the public housing for newcomers.

I would suggest taking a few minutes to try and get your feet under you, however. Arriving here, I've found, is... is rather jarring at first.

Then an honest living must take priority?

[Oh, street names. He listens carefully and nods.]

Yes, as much as I am not a fan of utilizing a stipend so quickly, it may become needed. The rooms are fine for now, but I would much rather be prepared come the end of the month.

[And Will is now going to take a moment to simply stare. He recognizes those features so very well, but they seem to be fitted a bit wrong.]

Good thing is, jobs are pretty easy to come by around here, so you shouldn't have a problem finding something. There's even an Employment Center that can help you find something that suits you. It's marked on the map of Genessia City you'll find on the rack on your way out of the Bay.

[Well, Norrington was quite surprised to see a familiar face appear on screen. To a degree he was relieved it wasn't a certain pirate...but he also had his faults with this one. He kept his facial expression neutral and spoke in a calm tone.]

Turner. I have to say it's a surprise to see you here. I had come to expect that I wouldn't see anyone from our world here.

Before I provide you information, I need to know the last thing that was going on before you awoke here.

[Norrington wasn't about to reveal information, not until he knew where Turner stood in things. He knew that everyone had their own agendas to worry about and that meant breaking old alliances and forming new ones. He had done the same thing and knew that he was going to be judged for that. Yet, he didn't care what Will thought on that matter considering all the actions he had done in the past.]

You know, I had an aunt that looked like you. Bit more of a goatee though. [complete non-sequitur is, on occasion, what the Doctor do] Even if surprise isn't articulated its surprising you're being so blase. Not your first trip into another world or are you just the strong and stoic type?

And no, I've had my share of dishonest. This is quite obvious a city that is unfamiliar to my world. So an honest start is what I would much prefer.

[Because alive seemed a bit rude even for Will's attitude at the moment.]

[He says the last name with a bit of an edge, now that there was no need to keep up appearances, he wasn't going to.]

[Surely, this stranger never actually met his father, the man had died years ago and Will looked perhaps his own age, if not a touch younger than that]

That... is an unfortunate fact that we all must work through when we arrive, so I've found. I've not discovered many yet who were overtly thrilled at their arrival.

Again I'll offer my apologies, for what little good it will do.

[If he wasn't so used to Jack. Will simply shakes his head.]

Neither. There is simply far more important matters to attend to when first arriving in such an off putting port.

[Living with pirates for the past few years has robbed dear William of any reaction to such language. He reacts more to the words 'spaceship' and 'rocket' than anything else.]

What is a rocket? And I will, for now, stay within the apartments. Simple and easier to maintain.

Really, it means a great deal that someone is willing to offer apologies for something that can hardly be their fault.

With Will as close to the actual bay as he was, it wasn't too hard for the siren to make an approach as the human toyed with his phone.

[LOUD. Loud and cheerful, and the source of it had now just scaled a rock directly ocean adjacent, easily ignoring the surf and tide to haul himself up on it.

Half of him? Male, human mane, a shorn head and oddly pointed, blue tipped ears. Oh, clawed and webbed fingers, and a mouth full of sharp teeth.

Followed by a silver scaled, eel like body, which wrapped itself around the rock firmly, normally billowing, fanciful blue and silver fins a little less impressive while in actual air.]

Ya talk to the hologram in the cave at all? She'll sure tell ya anythin' ya need before anyone else will.

I mean unless ya like twenty questions.

[He actually looks a bit surprised to hear that, then-]

Someone decent, I'd hope.

But, I feel there should be an apology for those who were brought here against their own will. If nothing else, though I suppose supplying us with money and shelter is as close to an apology as we will ever hope to get.

[Will had been focused on rather slow attempts of figuring out the functions of the strange device he'd received. The voice startles him and he nearly drops the device, having to juggle it a bit before securing it back in his hands.

He stares a moment at the creature, wondering if this was some new horror sent by Jones or something else entirely. Neither prospect giving him much in the way of comfort.]

Hologram? You mean the specter like woman? I heard her words.

[Not very certain about this.]

Yep. Mighty considerate of a place that kidnaps people to leave maps to help them get around.

[There's a hint of sarcasm in that, as he doubts they were provided due to simple consideration, but whyever they're there, may as well use them.]

And getting an honest start is probably a better idea all around, so good for you.

[There's a laugh as poor Will fumbles with the phone, bright and incredibly musical, inhumanly so]

In the matter of shelter... It is much the same anywhere. You have a job, and the job pays for a better home. There are listings of places open for moving into, and the rent to pay for them is generally very reasonable.

I don't believe you will have much trouble at all.
