The Attleton Games were fun. I don't usually win anything. I mean, I didn't win the podracing either. I came in third but that was pretty good, I think.

I hope there are more fun activities around here soon.

So long as you have fun, that type of event is worth it. I mean I didn't win, but really had no reason to want to. Just had fun with it.

I'm a bit new here, but I can't say I've ever heard of pod-racing. How does it work?

[Well she's never heard of the Attleton games either, but she suspects attleton is probably a place here, where pod racing has something to do with racing pods... or in pods?]

Oh, well it was a high speed sport where pods raced around a track but here it was more... makeshift contraptions of whatever we could get running. And it wasn't so dangerous.

Essentially? It's a race while riding machines.

Well, yeah. They didn't go as fast, I think.

Yes, but wouldn't you normally have more protection against high speed crashes with normal pods rather than just building them out of junk you find lying about? How fast do you normally go in these races?

Oh, I don't and I've only just heard about them. They were very deadly.

They must not have had. One slip and... well, I heard there were a lot of crashes. The skill was in not crashing and surviving the race.

It was much safer in these Games. We were doing it for fun.

There are a lot of people from many worlds here. Hard to compare. I didn't expect to do so well myself. Have you won shooting competitions in your world?

Um. I don't know exact speeds. I don't think it was nearly as fast as the most legendary races.

Nah. Mostly just had to defend myself a few too many times. You get pretty good when your life depends on it.
