1st Illusion // Welcome to Bullshit, Population: Oisin

[ The video comes on, evidentally as somone was figuring out how it worked. Seeing that it was on, the man exhaled heavily through his nose. He didn't seem too happy. As he spoke in a clear Irish accent, it soon became clear why. ]

So, we're all kidnapped but that's just fucking fine dandy because they've given us some cash and a phone. And apparently this place is very civilised and accomendating to the people dumped here by God knows who for God knows reason why. I'll be leaving a lovely review somewhere. 10/10 kidnapping experience.

But here's the problem; I've got a son I need to look after. I don't give a shit about how nice this place is set out or what the intention is with dragging me here. I need to find and care for my son. I've already gone to the place they send the children they pick up and dump in this place, and he's not there. And if he's not here, then I don't give a fuck if this is the Garden of Eden itself. It can go straight to Hell.

Your son will be fine. If he isn't in the city, then he must be in your homeworld. And while you stay here, time freezes in your reality. So it's like you never left.

How can you tell if that's the case? Given none of us can leave this place. That sounds like the kind of shit you'd tell someone just to get them to shut up about whatever they've got going on at home.

Some people have left this place and then has come back. Most of the time it wasn't by choice but it did happen. If I wanted you to ignore your problems, I would have just scrolled past your post completely.

How old is your kid?

He's fifteen. So he's not completely helpless...but he's reckless and has the common sense of a lemming. I can't even get in touch with my sister to go and pick him up.

He's most creative at getting into trouble. [ He just can't help his worrying. Even if Ash had been a sensible, mature young man he would have worried. As it was, Ash was not a sensible young man and had fallen off the ceiling of their tiny apartment more than once while practicing his magic. Oisin honestly thought he might have some kind of power that prevented him breaking his neck at this point. ]

He'll eventually realise something's up and call my sister but. It's just not the same as knowing he's with her.

My partner is like that.

But time does freeze, you don't have to worry about him getting to your sister. he wouldn't even realize you are gone.

Ye can hate it all ye like, short of an act of God, this is a permanent vacation.

I got that, but it doesn't mean I have to fucking like it. Especially when it means my kid's been left on his own back home, and I can't even call me sister to go and look after him for however long God decides to shit on me for.

Take solace that ye'll pop back to whatever point ye were taken from when God's colon is all clear.

How dya know if we can't just hop back home whenever we like? They could say that, shove us back whenever they're done and suddenly it's been a thousand years and when you step back onto the earth, you turn to dust.

Between having him with me where I can look after him and having him alone back where I'm from, I'd rather have him with me, even if this place is full of shit.

Just stating facts. Only the very lucky get people they know. Sometimes they lose them though, that's how this world works. Nothing is ever permanent unless you are lucky or for some reason, the world likes you enough to keep you around for years.

Besides as people have already implied he technically wouldn't be 'alone'. If he were to turn up at the same point in time as you or further down, he would probably act like you were there the whole time.

You sound like you know how this place works. How long have you been here then?

I had someone from my world arrived who acted exactly like I hadn't been gone for months to a year. It was a very strange experience when I had been here during that time.

[Fai wondered deep down if maybe they get replaced or if it really was frozen time, because in his world that would not be too far a stretch.]

But kidnapping usually sucks in the never being able to contact those you care about. Wouldn't be kidnapping otherwise. [He probably will not like what he says next, however.]
