( Genessia – Bar/Streets )

[Enis drums her fingers against the bar top as she looks over the rim of her glass. She's bored which isn't unusual for her in Genessia but she's itching for something to do.

She isn't wearing black today but purples and blues. She rarely cares what she wears and defaults to whatever is the easiest to get her hands on. In this case, that is a torn pair of blue jeans and a light pink top with what looks like an image of a pirate kitten ironed onto it. Her worn out backpack is with her since she has continued to refuse to find a place to stay and she has the general air of 'I am tired. Fuck off.' hovering around her.

When she gets bored of the bar she'll walk around, looking for something to do, maybe some mayhem to prevent.]

( Genessia – Park )

[The park is one of the few places that Enis visits regularly. She isn't about to crash on a park bench but she does spend a great deal of time sitting and listening to the bugs and birds that call the park home. Most of her life has been spent trapped in a small room and, now that she's free of that, she wants to spend as much time as possible outside.

She finds a thick tree to use as a backrest and then lowers herself to take a seat on the grass. Her backpack is looped around one arm while her eyes close, leaning back against the tree.

Enis will usually hanging out in the park through the odd hours of the night, sometimes reading, sometimes on her computer and sometimes with headphones blocking out the ambient noises around her.]

[Don't mind someone he's just scrolling on by and yo- yoing it seems. Though he does pause for a moment when he notices a familiar face]

Hallo. How are things here for you?

[Enis looks over at Ten when he begins speaking.]

Hi. They're going.

You?

[It's hard to tell if Enis cares or if she's just being polite.]

[The pay for bounty hunting in Nova City was a decent one, and Clay found himself living a little better these days. He still liked the comfort of Genessia City over the futuristic Nova City, so that's where he found himself this evening.

He hadn't expected to run into Enis again, though, here, in a bar...with a pirate kitten on her shirt. It was almost cute. He got change from the bartender, a beer, went to the wall and pulled down a pool cue, her words from their last meeting still ringing in his ears: why do you care what I do? It was a good question, of course, and one Clay couldn't readily answer.

Maybe she reminded him of others he'd seen made innocent victims of the monsters that hid behind human eyes. He shrugged that off was way too pathetic and sappy before heading over to her table, holding out the stick to offer it to her.]

You play pool?

[Clairvoyance had its ups and downs. Sometimes, you dreamed of people dying in horrific and completely unavoidable ways. Sometimes it was even people you remembered passing on the streets, sometimes complete strangers. Most days, though, it simply gave him a feeling, this sort of...pull to be in a certain place at a certain time.

When he was younger, it had always freaked him out, but now he just went with it, so winding up in the park wasn't strange, or heading toward a certain tree with a certain person sitting beneath it.

He also couldn't help the slight smile that touched his lips when he saw who that certain person was.]

'Allo, Enis. Enjoying the park?

[Enis doesn't expect to see Clay again. They were connected in a weird, fucked up, sort of way but in Genessia those connects don't matter; they don't mean anything because the thing that gives them meaning is worlds away.

She looks up when she hears Clay, her vibrant blue eyes dropping down to the pool cue in his hand.]

No but I can.

[Enis pushes herself to her feet, taking her drink in one hand and the pool cue in the other. She has an unfair advantage thanks to the computer chip in her head but that won't stop her from trying it. She's been told she needs a hobby after all.]

Are you sure you want to play me?

[Enis looks up at Jag and instantly relaxes. She had known that someone was coming closer but she hadn't know it was him until opening her eyes. He's one of the few people Enis has ever relaxed around, though she can't exactly say why that is.]

You could say that.

[She doesn't have a big opinion on it but it's peaceful... in a way.]

What are you doing here?

I offered, didn't I? [He chuckles.] Besides, it's not like I said I'd put money on it.

[That was always the hardest part to explain, but...she seemed to know something he didn't about himself.

...something she'd offered to explain and he'd never taken her up on.]

I...just...sort of followed my feelings. Sometimes I end up in the right place at the right time.

[Enis raises her eyebrow with a quick tilt of her head in reply. He has a point and he probably knows better than to bet money against her.]

Let's see how well you play.

[She takes a sip of her drink as she walks over to the pool table. Her posture is almost perfect, she hadn't been able to slouch and because of that it radiates a strange mixture of confidence and then her usual fuck-off attitude.]

[Enis doesn't know about Jag specifically but she knows about those with abilities like his. They can manifest themselves in different ways, from what she's seen it depends on the person, which means that Jag falls in a fairly vast category.

A smile teases the corner of her lips.] What makes you think that this is the right place and time?

[She wonders how much of his powers he can tap into.]

I don't know if I need the company, [Which is a lie.] unless you need something?

[He knows better than to bet money on anything around here. Bounty Hunting was only profitable with you brought someone in. He needed to find a better gig. It wasn't that bounty hunting was difficult or anything, but it wasn't always reliable.]

I think I'm pretty good. I also got it on pretty good authority you cheat.

[Jag smiles at her question, ducking his head slightly to hide what he's pretty sure is a blush, judging from the warmth growing in his cheeks.]

Well, I found you, didn't I?

[Smooth, Jag. Real smooth.]

I...no. I can...go.

[Enis places her drink down at a small table next to the pool table before turning back to start the game. A smirk tugs at the corner of her lips as she looks up at Clay.]

Is it really cheating? I only use the gifts my parents gave me. [It's true that she hadn't been born with most of the things her father gave her but on it's own it's a very innocent comment. In the context of Enis's life it's a bit sad.]

You break?

[Enis shakes her head. She knows that she isn't being fair to him. He's listening to his gifts the way he should be. While she's just being difficult.]

No. You're here so you might as well sit.

Unless you have somewhere else to be?

[She isn't going to make him stay or say that she wants him too. She feels a little awkward asking for things like that. Even if that is exactly what she wants. There are very few people that she can talk to and even fewer that she can talk to comfortably.]

Oh, they're gifts now? That's a switch.

[He smirks, because it's a dark joke, but she went there first, and makes a motion toward the table.]

Be my guess. Ladies first and all that shit.

[He shakes his head but takes a seat as she offered.]

I don't have work today.

[Which, let's be real, is all he'd really have to do.]

So...how've you been? [He knows, if he were to touch her, he could just look, but he really has no idea how to go about it. He's still working on that bit. Besides,
it just seems rude.]

You were the one who kept telling me not to be so hard on myself. [Maybe not in so many words but that is the message that Enis had gotten out of it.

She walks around the table, positioning herself to break. Her chip does a lot of the work, measuring angels and the position of the balls. When she strikes she sinks a striped ball.]

I'm stripes.

I didn't know you got a job.

[She hasn't actually been keeping tabs on him.]

I'm fine. [Enis pauses as she looks over at Jag.] Why don't you use your abilities? [It isn't an invitation persay but Enis is curious.]

You're either 0 or 100%, aren't you? [He chuckles at his joke, nodding and motioning toward the table.] And it's still your turn.

Leave some for me and we're square.

[He nods, smiling.]

Yeah, I'm a good at a gay bar. Not that I'm gay! [Smooth, Jag.]

I...what? [He blinks, looking down.]

I...that's a long story.

[He isn't wrong. If she stops using the chip then she's going to suck though she also doesn't want to stand around sinking every ball into every pocket. It won't really be a game if she does that. She sinks two more stripes before turning off the chip inside of her head and trying to line up the shot herself.

Turns out she sucks without the added help.]

Left you some.

[She walks over towards her drink, offering him a small, slightly sarcastic, smile.]

[Enis has to bite back her smile.]

I'm sure you make a lot of tips.

[He looks like the type that gay guys would enjoy flirting with.]

I have time. [Enis literally has nothing else to do and since they're here... they might as well talk about it.]

[He watches her work the table, and the moment she disables the chip is nearly visible. Something in her poise changes, her stance is off. He doesn't know what's caused it, of course, but there's a definite change.]

Thanks, but are you going easy on me or...

[Or what?]

[He blushes at her remark, looking down and shaking his head.]

No, I, uh, work in the kitchen.

[He licked his lips, nervous now that she's brought it up.]

It killed my mum.

[Enis takes a long of her drink, her vibrant blue eyes peering over the rim of her glass before placing it back on the table.]

Yes and no.

[She shrugs as if it is completely obvious as to what had happened. Enis is confident that Clay can put it together.]

You said you wanted to have a turn. [She's being nice . . . ish.]
