Dazed and Confused
Yaag opened his pale lavender eyes to gaze through blurred vision. He remembered his encounter in Eden and wondered if he managed to survive. That was impossible. He took a grenade at point blank range. There was no surviving that. Not with the wounds he had sustained on top of that. But he was breathing without pain.
His memories were intact. He didn't think he was cloned. Even the fal'Cie weren't capable of bringing back the dead so effortlessly and without some sort of suffering to carry with him. He groaned and sat up just as the capsule opened. His head pounded. Maybe it was possible.
He lifted his gloved hand to press the heel of his hand against his forehead with a groan. "Where am I?"
He looked around him and then down to notice the heavy necklace and the pamphlet. Thankfully, it was written in a language he could understand and read through it. He sat it aside and looked to his left to see another closed capsule next to him.

She got up, her own body a little wobbly as she stood and wiped her clothing off. "Yaag...?" Jihl remembered things, firstly starting to think about what Barthandulus did to her, then if she'd done something awful. "What are you doing here?" She looked around, just holding onto the pamphlets, not even bothering to look them over for now.

He looked over at Jihl and he was just as stunned as she was confused. "I was about to ask you the same thing."
He looked around again once his eyes had regained full focus and stepped out of the pod. "What is this place?"
Of course he wouldn't expect Jihl to answer that and it was already stated in the pamphlet, though the connection was completely there through the haze.

Easily, she placed her hands against the sides of the pod and lifted herself up onto her knees. Jihl was wearing her long dress and she wouldn't be caught dead with anyone seeing anything. Shifting again, she stood up and out of the pod to walk next to Yaag.
"Rosch, let me inquire something of you." Jihl turned to face him directly, even if she was much shorter. "What was the last thing you remember?"
no subject
"Are you okay, sir? I can heal you if you need it," she insisted, worried for him.

He kept his eyes forward and lifted his chin. Then the sardonic laugh came to fill the silence. "I died."
He didn't want to discuss the how's or why's right now. He was still processing the information and it was horrible to recall it even though he had thought he regained his honor. "You?"
no subject
"I...yes, I do believe I am well, thank you. Tell me, is this the afterlife?" He could have sworn that grenade did him in completely.
He wasn't about to deny help when he needed it and in this case, he was confused as hell even though the information packet seemed to fill in the blanks somewhat.
"I could have sworn..." His voice trailed off with a slow look around the cavern inside the bay.

"We were betrayed? The same..." The blonde moved her hands through her long hair that framed her face and walked forward. "I-I do not understand the reasoning behind my dismissal, much less my murder. Mentioning the fact that I should not be alive by normal standards." Jihl was monologuing, something that was normal for her to do when she was frustrated as she started to pace.

He stepped forward and felt the need to reach out to her but refrained. That old training never goes away in concerns to public displays of affection, but in this case he was willing to make the exception. "Nabaat, we cannot allow our past transgressions consume us."

Unlike Yaag, Jihl did everything she was suppose to do and was discarded like trash. Like Trash.
That simple idea had her so mad, she could barely speak without saying something to betray her ladylike behaviour. She continued her anger until he mentioned that she had transgressions.
"I have transgressed nothing, Rosch. I was punished and tossed like trash, for a Fal'Cie's humor." Jihl stared at Yaag with such deadliness soaking her green eyes.

She was the best in her division, the best PSICOM had to offer and she was thrown aside as if she didn't matter? This revelation angered Rosch that showed on his brow in a deep scowl.
He bore the scars for her so she would never have to see battle. And yet he felt like he didn't do enough. He heard she was dismissed but not killed. Her entire team was wiped out but they were reported as dismissed from duty. Now it all made sense and his fist clinched at his side.
"I had no idea." His voice had a hard edge to it.

"Well, Mister Rosch. I see there still is some of those boyish feelings lurking around, isn't there?" Jihl, even now, was struggling to trust people and she only assumed Rosch remained close for potential advancement as she once did.

"Perhaps." There was a hint of a smirk but it faded just as fast as it formed. His grip relaxed but not without something to show for it. He turned to face her, his heavy coat shifted through his movement.
"I suppose that old habits are hard to break. Now isn't the time to reminisce. We must find our purpose or we will suffer here as well." And that was the last thing he wanted to happen.
no subject
"Are you sure? You seem troubled...," she said.

He pulled himself out of the way to look around the area where his pod rested. There was no sense going back in it, that's for damn sure. "Perhaps I am in need of assistance after all. Is there a library I can access?"
If he could at least learn about the social infrastructure of this place, he might be able to assimilate himself a little better.
