[Video/Action]

[Thanks to a certain someone who released the dogs, one cat remained perched up a tree somewhere in Nova City or Genessia. Her cellphone dropped right side up and was with the pack of jumping and barking dogs. The dogs continued to bark up the tree. They don't plan to leave this cat alone.

Then suddenly, a bark was returned, from the cat. Blair barked back. This was looking like a barking contest, maybe.]

[Scott has heard the barking and spotted the poor cat in the tree, immediately feeling sorry for the poor thing. He approached the dogs carefully and moving his hands.]

Shooo, let it be, boys. I'm sure you can have fun somewhere else. [He had assumed all the barking came from the dogs. That's it, until he noticed the CAT doing it too. Even with his eyes covered by a visor, it was obvious that he was staring at Blaire in confusion.] Well, that's new.

[Blair watches from up high and her 'barking' pretty much fades away back to her catlike nature which is meowing. A couple of the strays finally leaves, but a couple more still lingers around, stubborn dogs.]

What's new mister? [She asks curiously. Oh hey, a cute guy with visors, she has one of those back home too.]

[You are fooling no one with that new mowing, kitty lady. Scott is still looking at her with a raised eyebrow before his attention returns to the dogs.

He likes animals so he doesn't want to hurt them or scare them, just make them go away. Dogs are dogs, right? Even stray ones. Perhaps if he throws a stick for them to chase ...Scott's train of thought is immediately sidetracked when Blair speaks up.]

What....oh. You can talk. [And because Scott knows better at this point he directly ask.] Are you a real cat?

[At least the rest of the dogs leaves, leaving Blair still hanging on the tree. When Scott asks the million red dollar question, there is a puff of purple smoke. The smoke fades and Blair is human this time, but at least she's wearing her witch attire.]

Of course I am~ What made you think not, I wonder.

[Blair, stop confusing the new people. She jumps down, hands behind her back, smiling.]

Hi, I'm Blair.

[Scott looks surprised for a second before he composes himself. It isn't the first time someone changes shapes before him but the puff of smoke it's new.]

Where I come from, cats don't turn into grown-up women. [He returns the smile since she seems friendly enough.] I'm Scott, nice to meet you. Did the dogs hurt you?

[Ten heard the barking of the dogs and when spotting the cat up in the tree. Inwardly groans. This is what it's come too. Saving a cat from a tree. Cats]

Alright! Come on. Off with you!

[Shouting and clapping his hands at the dogs. Wait. Did that cat just bark? Then cautiously eyes the cat because obviously, this could mean shapeshifter sometimes things don't sync up quite right]

Do you want to come down?

[Blair watched Ten coming to the rescue. Her bark faded away, returning to a 'nyaow'. So much for that fun. Blair stared down after he scared the dogs away.]

No, not really. It's really nice up here mister. But.. [Weary smile.] why did you scare them away?

[That poor cat. Rapunzel couldn't help but want to help, she walked on over, hands on her waist as she started to stare down the dogs.]

Now, now, there is no need to bark is there? You should be good little dogs and go home, or if you don't have a home, I can always house you and feed you until you do.

[The dogs do seem to settle down a bit as she smiled sweetly before turning her head to the cat before looking back.]

I would like you to also leave this cat alone, okay? [The dogs all day and wagged there tails as she turned her head.]

It should be okay to come down now.

[Not only Blair's bark faded away but woah, how did she do that?! Blair watched quietly how the dogs obeyed long hair blondie, and was quite amazed.]

How did you do that?

[Magic right? It was totally magic!]

I just talked to them. They just seemed to calm down after that.

[It was a mystery.]

But you are free to come down now.

[Made Blair wondered if she had power over her. Hmm. Cool.]

You don't look like a dog person. Um, thank you!

[Not like she was really in trouble but, she winged it. She hopped down from the tree finally.]

I'm Blair, what's your name miss?

I don't know if I would be one or the other. Though guess really I'm a chameleon person if I had to pick.

[Thank Pascal for that one.]

I'm Rapunzel. It's to meet you, Blair. That is a pretty name.

Blair! Where are you? Do you need help?

[She certainly looks like she does but she's a witch and Mavis doesn't want to look like a mother hen... or rather a mother cat in that context.]

Mavis!

[Mavis, stop being adorable! Blair's barking fades away as if she was caught, she looked quite embarrassed somehow.]

It's okay! We're just playing. [More like trolling, but Blair won't go into details. But there might be a couple dog paws stepping on her phone cause, yeah it was on the floor.]

....You didn't see anything else, right?

[Sorry, Blair. Being adorable is her default mode.]

Oh. [Mavis looks surprised for a bit. Maybe because since Happy is terrified by dogs, she expected Blair to be too. But if Blair says they're playing. Mavis give her a gentle smile.] Just make sure they don't break your communicator, ok?

[She tilts her head, curiously.] What else was I supposed to see?

Exactly!

[It's overpowering, but at least Miss Mavis is okay. Poor kitty doesn't want to worry her.]

Ah! [Thanks for the reminder. The screen may start looking kind of drunk because well, it's levitating over on her end. Blair let out a small sigh of relief.] Thanks for reminding me Mavis. They would chew it up or something.

[Dogs...]

When you're done... playing, maybe we can spend some time together?

[Mavis actually likes running around and climbing trees. It's not really 'guild master' like but... she spent the first thirteen years of her life alone on an island, so.

Plus she doesn't think Blair will judge her.]

... You know, I'm well aware that it's my job to protect the public now and all that jazz, but I didn't think I would literally have to save a cat from a tree.

Oh my, the poor cat. Probably because of all the dogs loose in the neighborhood. Is the cat nearby?

[Who needs saving again?]

[It isn't every day Soma happens across a pack of dogs baying at a treed cat. Nor is it an everyday occurrence to encounter something that looks like a cat but plainly is not, to anyone who has the ability to sense magic. That this cat happens to be wearing a witch's hat just serves as icing on the cake for him.]

[When he approaches the pack, the dogs, as one, back away with their tails tucked, growling. They recognize a superior predator, and aren't at all happy with the situation.]

Go away, before she decides to turn one of you into something more interesting.

[Has it ever been mentioned that Soma isn't really a dog person?]

[Well, she knew the hat would give something away but, this was probably the first person around here who pointed out her magic, or at least had an idea.

The dogs knew well who the predator was, and thus backed away. When the dogs fled, Blair laid her belly on the branch, smiled.]

Wow mister, you sure showed them.

Like you couldn't have. [He smirks, very slightly. He'd never met the witch that couldn't handle a few stray dogs.]

You make a habit out of teasing animals like that, or was this just a one-time deal?

[He briefly considers taking bat form to go up and join her, but decides against it for the moment - after all, a strange witch in cat form is still a strange witch, and he had certain vulnerabilities that could be exploited by one canny enough to spot them.]

[Of course, the biggest one, she'd just need to take human form to hit. Poor guy's head would probably explode.]

[It's not the first time someone mistake Blair for a witch. Oh no, a tiny fang peeks from her mischievous smile. Suppose it's time to blow his mind. She tips her hat forward leaving purple smoke from her wake. When the smoke clears, Blair now sitting on the branch in human form, with legs dangling.]

In defense, those mutts thought they could catch Blair.

[Without magic no doubt!]

And... I was bored. [Blair smiles bringing one hand up, curling it in a paw-like manner.]

[It's a very near thing, but his head doesn't quite explode from the resultant blush. He quickly looks away, though - best not to give the incipient aneurysm a chance.]

I... I see. Their fault, then. I trust you're okay?

[Oh my, Blair lowers her eyes in a mischievous manner. She slides off the branch and lands in front of him, with his head turned away. She inches closer, getting into his space, tapping her chin curiously.]

Yeah, but there's just one small problem.

[Alert alert space invaded alert...]

W-what might that be?

[Fight or flight instincts are seriously kicking in, and flight is winning by a large margin.]

[He sees. He laughs. He attempts to root while laughing.]

You tell them, Blair! Speak their language! Goodness, not to betray the hallowed allegiance of man's best friends, but you sound so like!

[Okay, she can't help but laugh.]

You weren't suppose to see that! Nya-hahaha!

Heh, what, your bilingualism? Can't imagine why you'd hide that; I'm a little jealous of anyone that can speak to dogs. A fine performance, polyglot!
