What: Dogs! Nice dogs, frightened dogs, lazy dogs.

Shinjiro hadn't done much exploring outside of Genessia City yet, so his first visit to Everglade gave him something of a small start. It was ... distinctly creepy here. He couldn't really put his finger on it, but it caused the hairs on the back of his neck to rise.
Still. He was just supposed to round up some strays and return them to the shelter. Just like he did in Genessia City for free about a week ago. How hard could it be?
He visited the pound itself, first, to get some lead collars and restock on dog treats. Any animal which was very sick or injured, he'd figured he'd get backup for. After all, Shinjiro wasn't going to pretend he was a real professional. He was just a concerned citizen, and he had the common sense to figure out which animals to approach and which ones would lunge and bite. He wasn't a vet or a real animal control tech and he wasn't going to pretend, either.
Beneath his coat, feeling more chilled than usual, he shivered. In a place like this ... who knows what the stray dogs could get up to in a week?
Steeling his resolve, Shinjiro started with the alleys behind diners and restaurants.
