Wonderland Event with Kay [VIDEO | OTA]

[The video turns on to a very distraught Colette standing on the outskirts of Fayren next to a bush and a seemingly large, smooth rock.The front of her white smock is slightly tinged brown and she bites her lip nervously before speaking.]

Um… I have a bit of a problem. I was walking and I tripped and accidentally spilled some water and now Kaytoo’s… [she angles the camera to try to get Kay in the shot, but he’s standing rather tall now so it’s hard to get a good image of him.] Hang on.

[The grounds suddenly seen below her as she flies up to bring herself eye level with the robot, changing the video to the rear camera so Kay can be seen in all his gigantic glory.]

He’s really really big now and I don’t know what to do!

I keep forgetting you can fly. [Kay murmurs, giant head turning to look at Colette. She seems so tiny now in comparison.

Distracted as they are, none of them notices a bird approaching. It accidentally flies right into Kay's optic before squawking and fluttering in mid-air when it ends ricocheting. The droid lets out a mangled, annoyed sound and shakes his head.] This is like, the third time! If any of them try to make a nest in one my ports again...

The "r" stands for "robot". All androids are given that designation, regardless of design.

Droids and all kinds of advanced A.I.s are fairly common in my world. None is as big as I am now, though.

I'll do that then. Ah, you are an android. Explains why you aren't blinking or suffering visible loss of eyesight for not doing that. I have an androids body too but I don't use it much.

Robots of a more ... standard size are also common where I am from.

Thank you, Dorothy. The first time I downloaded my personality into that android body it was by accident, there was a magical circus happening in one of the cities and...well it's complicated. But the android body can do things I can not do. Such as eating or kissing people.

I'm trying to stay still but kamikaze birds are being difficult. I don't know how to fix it, nor does Colette, that's why she made the post in the first place.

That's great to hear. freedom isn't something all droids have where I come from. I don't have a master either, not as such. [He kinda sorta belonged to the rebellion, but...not really. Besides, the Rel Alliance isn't here.] But I do have a boyfriend.

No? Ah, that's a shame. The food does nothing for my android body either, doesn't power it or anything, but I can taste it. [And he loves sweets so much. Cassian's food too, even if he's always complaining it's too spicy.]

Necessary? No. But it's really nice. You should try kissing someone and figure it out by yourself.

[Kay is pretty good are reading body language. He spent the last 10 years studying Cassian's micro-expressions, the man isn't very good with words. But even if he notices Dorothy's not really answering, he won't pry further.]

It's a subject of conversation like any other. But we can talk about something else, such as what ill idea is to come to Fayren today.
