I Fear What I Am Becoming

WHO: Orihime Inoue, OPEN!
WHAT: After three days of purposefully staying awake, Orihime finally collapses into sleep. Her dream world is not a pleasant one, and there's a definite darkness waiting to attack anyone who dares intrude.
WHEN: May 12, 2014 (Super Backdated!)
WHERE: Pokemon Zone / Dream World
NOTES: This is a multi-user log - no separate threads! If you join, you're likely to meet the other people who have entered the dream. You'll need the help, trust me.

Ever since her Pokemon had been taken, Orihime had searched through the Archway. It wasn't about winning a charm. She'd long since forgotten about the objective for having Pokemon this month. She just didn't want that monster to hurt and eat them, as she feared he might. Isn't that what spiders did when they caught creatures in their webs?

If she could find them by reiatsu, she would have used that to zero in on wherever they'd been taken. But they didn't feel the same way people did, and there were so many Pokemon that she couldn't filter out which ones were hers. She suspected the Pokeball itself might have been partially to blame as well, but really, she just didn't know.

That was the worst part -- not knowing what had happened to them. She'd walked and searched to the point of exhaustion. She hadn't eaten much either, only enough to keep herself going.

Finally, it was too much for her exhausted body to bear. She sank down against a tree, short of breath and pale. She had to rest, just for a moment.

Orihime wasn't sure when she'd closed her eyes. She hadn't meant to. But when she opened them, she wasn't in the forest anymore. There was a familiar presence surrounding her, more potent and powerful than it should have been. She scrambled to her feet, but the blackness was everywhere. She couldn't see a thing. The smell, though, was overwhelming. Blood. Rust. Rot.

It was only a matter of time, you know.

Her eyes widened, just before something gripped her face and pulled her down into the wet, stinking ground.
