Good morning! I need to run some errands in Everglade on Sunday, and I promised I wouldn't go there on my own since I was told it can be a little rough. If there's anyone that wouldn't mind sparing a few hours, or if you already live there and can play the role of tour guide, I'd be very grateful!

[She hesitates for a moment, having been about to conclude, but she's got one more question.]

One last thing -- what kind of item would you buy most from a bakery? Just curious!

Cakes please!

[Oh sure, Fai was Fairy Tail's current go to for cakes, but Mirajane just had to know what Orihime was capable of baking up!]

I'm also rather fond of cookies, muffins, and bagels.

[ Ayame has a good impression of Orihime, and she likes the girl's positive attitude. So when she sees the video of Orihime on the network, she responds while in her tailor shop in Genessia ]

I have acquired a taste for donuts in recent months, especially those bite sized donut holes that come in a variety of flavors. But I love all sorts of baked goods there is to have. I find it satisfying to try new items on a bakery's menu each time they release a new option and try my best to replicate it at home.

[ She spent a lot of money to make sure her kitchen has the Rolls-Royce of ovens, stoves, and other kitchen equipment for her to perfect her culinary skills with. ]

[Prepare for Cake Planet, Mirajane.]

Oh, me too! I'll add those to the list.

[She's got a notebook on her knee that she scribbles in, adding the last three items to her notes.]

How do you feel about donuts? Do you prefer the traditional kind? Would you be interested in trying new varieties?

Donuts are REALLY good!

[She's in vehement agreement with Ayame on that point. Donut holes, though...that's a good idea. There wouldn't be any waste if she made the classic rings, so it's good to know someone would probably buy them.]

Mm hm! I'm the same way, I love trying new things. I think you'll be very satisfied with the secret results!

Sadly I've never been much of a doughnut girl myself. Fried foods aren't exactly the best for when you're a model, and even though I'm very physically fit, doughnuts are something I've just always avoided since I was a teenager.

That just seems so wrong and sad!

[Well that's just going to earn another bit of bubbly laughter from Mirajane.]

Not really! It's just a difference in tastes honestly! When I started eating healthier, I just started finding fried food tasted a bit gross to my taste buds. It would probably take a lot of junk food to get my taste buds to go back to finding greasy fried foods to be appealing for me. So I promise, it's not like it's some sort of big sacrifice on my part, it's just the way I am.

I guess that makes sense.

[It's really a wonder why Orihime herself isn't fat, considering how much she loves AND eats desserts.]

But no cake objections for sure?

Now cake is one area in which I indulge my sweet tooth. It's not fried, and even if it's not exactly the best for me I do work on my feet all day, so I burn off the calories fairly easily.

[She gives Orihime a playful wink, because this next comment is directed slightly at her.]

Although I have to admit, I used to get a bit jealous of those girls who's metabolisms let them eat whatever they want, and it all just went to their breasts.

[ooc: Fun fact? My sister is actually this way. She's pretty thin but has all the boobs... and then her boyfriend found out and tried to make her eat more, so now she has monster boobs but the rest of her figure's still on the thin side.]

[Er... Well, at least the jealousy is in the past tense. That's a pretty common complaint lodged against Orihime by her friends.]

Oh good! Then I don't think you'll be disappointed!

[She got over it when she decided she simply enjoyed eating healthier. That, and she likes to squish the big boobed people, but Orihime doesn't need to know that's one of the reasons.]

Do you have any kind of cake that's a specialty of yours? Do you make your own icing?

I think everything is better when it's made from scratch, but I don't know if I have a specialty just yet!

[She's never run a bakery before, after all. She just likes cake and wants to make cake for a living.]

If I ever do make something that turns out to be insanely popular, I'll be sure to update you, though!

... You don't grind your own flour too do you?

[She's heard about bakers that do, but that always seemed like a bit of a waste of time.]

Everglade is in fact pretty dangerous! Even now, there's a battle going on determining its fate as we speak!

[ On that note, however, Konoka was actually clueless on how right she was. Her understanding of Castlevania's situation, while generally accurate, lacked the detail she thought she had. ]

Fortunately it's all concentrated on one subarchway so unless it goes berserk maybe we don't have too much to worry about. I think, anyway.

Hello, I'm the Doctor, don't believe we've met, but it's Orihime, isn't it? If you're still looking for a guide, well, actually, I haven't been there yet, so not so much a guide as a traveler, but what better way to go somewhere than for the first time. Anyway, I'd be glad to set a little time aside, if it'd help, it's sort of what I do.

[He's obviously more than a little proud of that assertion, almost ready to leave it at that, although he catches himself.]

Oh, right, bakery, not sure, really, depends on what they've got, I s'pose, usually go more for candies than baked goods--Kendal Mint cakes, Jelly Babies, mmm, Jammie Dodgers, though, they're a bit baked, some other sort of fruit cookie, perhaps, orrr maybe a karmine pudding, blimey, haven't had that in donkey's years...

[Don't mind him getting a bit absorbed over here thinking about desserts.]

Are you planning on experimenting with baking now that you are here? I can recommend you places to visit in Nova City, Attleton, Genessia, and the subarchways.

[She listens intently to his list. At first her brow furrows, for she's never heard of any of these things. But her thoughts gradually turn from 'how do I make something I've never heard of?' to 'how do I try these things I've never heard of?']

Oh, sure!

Put it this way... there's a place called Castlevania that's opened up to Everglade, and within it is a strong vampire by the name of Dracula. When the old mayor was around, a year ago, he wound up putting in a "night law" which allowed creatures of the night to kill humans when the sun fell. I was there--one of his minions entranced me while he rushed the mayor's office, until I was rescued... somehow. However, the current guardian wound up fixing those rules, but there's still a lot of tension between humans and non-humans.

Back where he came from, Dracula lost his wife to the superstitious church at time. But about a couple of months ago, his wife came here, and he thinks its way too good to be true, and thus began sending out awful curses onto Everglade, such as making it rain blood! A lot of the darker creatures are now invigorated thanks to his tantrums... it makes running my shop pretty dangerous, even during the day!

[Ahh, good, she's a friendly, cheery one!]

Well, yeah, everything's available somewhere... ...oh, y'mean here, not sure, probably, or something very similar, well, probably not the last one.

[He raises his eyebrows like that one would just be too good to be true. Probably for grander reasons than it just being a tasty snack.]

And really, no trouble at all, well, actually, probably some trouble, but that's all right, never really did work out how to stay out of it, anyway, so might as well look forward to it, as long as it's int'resting trouble, not splitting a cheque orrr managing a mortgage.

[Eugh, he looks so displeased just at the thought. Please Orihime just make the trouble adventuresome and he won't complain a bit ~~well that's probably a lie, but he'll enjoy it a lot more~~.]

Borsok. It's fried bread, kinda like a donut. I usually see it fried in olive oil.

That sounds delicious! I've had naan at a restaurant before, but I've never heard of borsok. Is that common to find in bakeries where you're from? Do you have a recipe?
