Hey! Does anyone want to spar with me?
[They should probably consider this carefully, if they're not used to it.]
Larxene said I'm getting fat.
Did she? [second verse, far more surprised than the first. They're already living together!?] Goodness, that girl is aggressive. To make up for the other half's indolence, no doubt. [Just pretend you didn't hear that inner monologue]
Goodness, what, ah, gave her that idea? Must have been a...desperate situation.
Aheh, well those robes do make your figure hard to figure. So you, um, keep going till one party's no longer conscious?
[Fine, be that way.]
Heh, naturally. Doesn't do much good to brood over a coming defeat, eh? That's one of the first things they teach you in swordsmanship. Goodness knows what you learn in sitarmanship.
[He looks at the open, almost certainly people-free area Demyx shows.]
Oh, good thinking! If you'd be so kind as to ping where "here" is, I'll be right over.
...oh, not that I'd, you know, put a blade to you for a spar, mind. Unless you'd rather?
[He honestly has no idea if that's too little or too much for someone with an instrument for a weapon.]
[He produces a grin and bursts with a laugh]
Ha! It doesn't!
[That dies down as he sees the water dome Demyx produces from his hand. The look he makes can best be described as "ooooh, pweddy." Even if he has his reservations about sorcery of any sort, he can't deny the aesthetic appeal. But there's no time to be awestruck; He's going to beat him into shape if it's the last thing he does. The last thing Demyx says gives him pause.]
"...Huh."
[Not that Ted minds fighting ardor, but given who he's dealing with, he has to wonder: why is Demyx seemingly so revved up? Ted thought he disliked putting his all into everything but music, especially fighting. He rather expected mumbling, groaning, and a heavy heart. Well, if he had one. Could this enthusiasm be a ruse?]
[No harm in pretending! Ted points accusingly, still playful.]
"...You duplicitous doppleganger! I should've known something was fishy the moment you betrayed your bellicosity. Who are you and what have you done with the real Demyx?"
[He held his sword by the blade, as though it were a hammer. He didn't intend to cut the man, after all.]
"I'll beat the answers out of you if I have to!" [That's his way of saying "en garde"]
