...Are you suggesting that you're not human? Surely you've had to do awful things yourself in order to survive, am I right? That's nature for you. It's not always sunshine and rainbows.

[He snarls a bit, emitting a low growl at the mention of dead things walking around.]

[He gets something resembling barely a laugh escaping.]

Survival is all I've got, so I have to do my best at it.

[He lets out a breath.]

At least you can recognize that. So I wouldn't speak so lowly of the others when they were doing the same thing...

[And he raises his two right eyes.]

Five years? If it's been going on that long, I assume you don't know how it started?

[He's sure they would have stopped the problem at its source long ago if they did.]

Maybe it's because we're alike that I know better?

[She's challenging him, of course, she doesn't care what he thinks. Survival is the most important part, no matter how she gets there.]

I don't know, I doubt anyone does. It just happened one day. Everything went to shit everywhere.

[Challenging him for what? That definitely won't get her very far.]

I see. I suppose survival really is all you have if that's the case. I can sympathize...and at the same time, I applaud you.

[At least in his case, he does know how the shit started, so he plans to stop it ASAP. Unfortunately, still, the fight for survival won't stop even if they do put an end to the walking (or running) dead bullshit.]

[She can't be seen as vulnerable, not for a minute.]

I can't say I did it all on my own. People died to get me here, but I'm doing the best I can alone now.

[She's not aware of how it started, but there's little hope. They're all infected, really, it's just a matter of death making it a reality.]

Ah...that's another reality that I am painfully familiar with. Our lair had a whole clearing made specifically for the fallen. But now...

[He trails off. It's those fallen that are now running amok.]

A lot of people don't get that anymore. It's pretty dangerous to be making graves.

[They take a long time to dig and that's just not safe.]

The best thing we can do for people we care about is make sure they don't become walkers.

Dangerous? Because the walkers will just dig their way out?

[Digging graves is easy for dragons.]

That sounds fair. I'm sure they wouldn't want to become one of those things either. I know I wouldn't...

No. People don't become walkers if you shoot them in the head. It's dangerous because it leaves you digging for a long time and you can get attacked in that time. It's better to keep moving.

[Unless you live in a settlement, which she doesn't.]

Smart. I would imagine that digging would take a long time for humans, being as small as you are...

Hey I'm not that small anymore!

[Well she kind of still was, seeing as she's not fully grown yet at thirteen.]

Perhaps not by human standards, but all humans are tiny compared to me.

[Is she getting the hint yet?]

[There's a short pause as he makes a switch to video so she could see him a little better. He's wearing a big red mask, but his four eyes are unmistakable, as well as his sharp teeth and long tongue.]

...You think so?

I...what? This has to be some kind of trick or something!

[He shakes his head.]

It's no trick. This is what I am. I'm as real as those walkers you speak of.

[If he hadn't seen the living dead himself, he wouldn't believe they were real either.]

That seems pretty impossible, but I can see it.

[She still sounds hesitant to believe what she's seeing.]
