Are you sure you aren't making this guy out to be more than he is? He sounds too good to be true.

I'm a great judge of character and am rarely wrong. But there is a problem. This guy has major trust issues.

Announcing you had created a 'murder bot' is not an ideal way to introduce yourself in most situations but I'm intrigued. Was this accidental?

Sort of yes.....the AI we created learned faster then we'd planned on.

I uh...well yes. My lab partner and I we created the AI and the AI created a body for itself sort of.

[ Natasha being here was one thing. It was unexpected and frankly more than a little bit awkward, but of all the people that could have shown up she was one of the better options. But Bruce was... well, talking to him was going to be like addressing the elephant inside the elephant in the room. Tony wanted to be happy, he wanted to be relieved -- but when was the last time he'd seen Bruce? Years, at this point.

But Bruce himself didn't know that. Shouldn't, probably. Was keeping a lid on how far apart their timelines deviated for the best? It might take a while to figure that one out. Time to pretend things were just fine when they were totally wrong. At least that was among Tony's everyday skill set. ]

Listen, I'm sorry about the murder bot thing. Really.

[What people don't seem to understand about Bruce is that he is very skilled at reading body language. He's had to learn given he needs to be able to figure out who is an enemy and who is a friend and do it quickly so he can get away from one and approach the other. He can sense something is wrong with Tony, but he wants Tony to tell him on his own rather than force it out of him.]

Tony....I believed what you said...about peace. I'm just as at fault about Ultron as you are.

[ If Tony had known Bruce was giving him so much consideration, it really would have meant a lot. Bruce's tolerance for his bullshit had always been higher than everyone else's. As it stood, though, all he could think about was how wrong it felt to let him take as much blame for the Ultron thing. After what had happened... no, he definitely couldn't be comfortable with that, even if it did take swallowing some pride to admit as much. ]

You wouldn't have kept going if I hadn't convinced you to and we both know that. Just... let me apologize for once in my life, alright?
