[ It's a bit different waking up from the pod this time around. While the first time she was here, she was filled with skepticism, but also a sense of curiosity as to why she was brought back here of all places. Now, it just seems like she's tired and ready to rest for a bit. The Protector gingerly sits up, threading bandaged fingers through her hair as she holds back a wince. Right, she can't afford to show weakness again.

...Well, not that she can't. It's just that she won't. ]

Nngh-- Guess it's time for more.

[ Gently, she stands up from the pod, collecting the items that she woke up with again before making her way over to the exit of the Bay. When her form emerges, she's dressed in her uniform, but has bandages covering her forehead as well as her cheeks. Those are the ones that are most visible anyway.

Hello Genessia, Hikaru has returned. ]

[ Once she's been acclimated enough, she takes a moment to turn her videophone on, despite how bad she looks. It seems like she still has her sunny disposition, but it's obvious in her eyes just how exhausted she really is. She still is bandaged up pretty well, especially since she's yet to seek further medical attention. ]

Hello everyone. It seems like I've returned. For those of you who don't know me yet, I'm Hikaru Takeda, Superintendent General to the PIPE, the Pro-Intercontentinal Peace Enforcement Agency. I'm not sure if anyone is here who remembers me, but do you mind catching me up on what's been going on since I've been here last?

[ A pause -- should she be selfish and ask for her job back? Does the position even exist anymore? Surely it's been filled, but she could be security of some kind to someone.

No. She'll rest up. She's sure that she could use the time off and she doesn't feel quite up to fighting again. ]

...I'm glad to be back. I missed everyone that I met.

[Have an extremely familiar face staring back at you. However, his hair might be a little longer than last time.]

I haven't seen you in...A long time.

[ He's definitely a sight for sore eyes and admittedly, his smile's pretty infectious. Her own grin returns to her countenance rather easily. ]

It feels like it's been years, Fai-san. How have you been?

I don't think it's been longer than a year.

[Maybe more, but it's hard to tell sometimes having been here for three years.]

I've been fine, busy, making friends dealing with situations as usual. You know the normal life.

It's quite easy to lose track of time here, isn't it?

[ She knew all about that rather well, given how long she was here initially. ]

That's good. I take it you're no longer the Guardian for Everglade?

It is, more so if one has been here for years.

[Like he has for example.]

No, I realized that well... not sleeping at all is a bad thing and I can help more with other ventures.

I do remember you being quite a workaholic. Then again, I was too.

[ She always is, now that she thinks about it. Good thing that she's gotten used to it over the years. ]

What are you up to now?

I'm thankfully not as bad as then now, but still being helpful in my own way.

[She paused for a moment.]

Same as I was before, cafes for the most part. Also a place for the pokemon that keep coming near yearly.

That's good to hear.

[ A pause on her end while she thinks on something. ]

Would you mind if I came down there to help out with anything?

I wouldn't mind, but what would you want to help with exactly?

Whatever you would have me do. I think my schedule in Genessia's going to be pretty open-ended for a while.

I'm sure you'll find work soon. At least within the month anyway because you don't strike me as someone who wouldn't be unemployed for long.

Of course. I'm too much of a workaholic anyway.

Maybe I could do something small to start off. Still pretty tired from my world, after all.

Small is good, but I get the feeling that's not what you'll end up doing.

[She only briefly met Hikaru the last time she was here, but she remembers her well enough.]

Well, well! Look what the cat dragged back in~ [A friendly laugh.] Welcome back.

Thought you were rid of me, Tori-san? [ She's grinning, despite how much discomfort she's in. ] Thank you, though. It's good to be back.

[Angela just happened to be around when she noticed the beaten up girl. It was just pure instinct by this point (and a bit of motherly instincts) to worry, so soon enough she gently tapped her shoulder.]

Are you... okay? I can heal you up if you'd like. [She was probably no matter what, but she wanted to be polite.]

[ Honestly, Hikaru was pretty tired from her ordeal in her world. It took a considerable amount of strength for her to do what she did, but despite this, she was able to help unearth even more secrets about why the PIPE did what they do to protect the universe.

She turned around when her shoulder was tapped before her usual smile appeared on her countenance. As much as she's exhausted, she can still manage to be cordial. ]

More or less, miss. And, you don't have to. [ She'd feel guilty for one for her wasting her energy on her when she's sure it'd be better spent. ]

[Even if she says she's fine, she doesn't look it at all; So within a moment a yellow beam came from her staff, connecting to her. Hikaru will eventually feel her pain lessening, even if it doesn't heal everything.]

I don't mind. I... do it for a living anyways. [A faint smile.]

[ Well, that was definitely something that she's not used to seeing. While she's gotten used to knowing that other magic users exist in Genessia, she's never seen something quite like what Angela's doing right now.

She can definitely feel her pain lessening, making her more comfortable as a result and also energizing her to continue on. Here she thought that she was too exhausted to do much of, well, anything. ]

Thank you so much. I'll do what I can to pay you back, miss. [ Her smile is returning. However, she does want to know more about what kind of technology and also magic the other is using. Maybe it's strictly magic and the staff is a catalyst for her healing beam? There's more questions than there are answers at this point. ]

...Excuse me if this is prying, but are you a magic user? I've never seen this sort of technique before.

[She shook her head to that.]

Don't worry about it. I'm just glad to see you're feeling better. [Giving her a gentle smile] I'm a doctor, after all.

Not particularly. It's technically nano technology. My world's technology tends to be more advanced than it is here.

[ Although Angela said that she didn't need to worry about it, it's not like Hikaru to leave an act of kindness like this go unnoticed. As she's content to just drop the subject for now, she's still thinking on what she could do to pay her back.

Ah, but when she says 'nano technology', her eyes light up. While her world has rather advanced medical technology, they don't have anything quite like this. ]

How neat! My world's also pretty advanced in the medical field. [ It kind of has to be, what with how often she gets beat up on the front lines. ] How long have you been a doctor, miss?

Well... I've always wanted to be a doctor, after seeing what war caused in our world happened. [After the death of her parents to be exact.] So I put as much of my time to study medicine and worked to get my MD and PHD. It's hard to believe it's been this long already.

[ Ah, war. War was hell, and yet, she knew she had a war waiting for her back home that she was to take part of. She understands that quite well, Angela. ]

That's... wow... You definitely have my respect, miss. I don't think I'd be anywhere without my own doctors behind me and making sure I'm still healthy enough.

It's tough sometimes, but I enjoy it in the end. Well..... When everyone is okay that is. And how about you? What do you like to do?

Oh! I'm Angela Ziegler, by the way.

That's always a plus, especially when everyone's okay. As far as I'm concerned, I'm a military officer back home and my organization's tasked with the protection of the entire world. I'm one of the higher ups in the organization.

It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Ziegler. My name is Hikaru Takeda.

Ah, sounds like that's pretty exciting... and busy. [She could somewhat relate to that.] It's nice to meet you too, Hikaru.

[ She didn't even have to speak before Tony knew who she was. Hell, he barely had to look at her for more than a second. He could have been completely blind and he still would have known. How could he not? She had been so important and then he had forgotten and -- god, he hated that he'd been forced to forget her for even a second. But that wasn't the priority right now. Couldn't be. ]

Hikaru? [ Was that emotion clouding his voice? Maybe. Definitely. ] What the hell happened to you?

[ If there was anyone in Genessia that Hikaru missed the most, it was Tony. He helped keep her grounded, make her feel like she was just more than a soldier for fighting -- hell, he was family to her and nothing would change that.

Admittedly, it's hard to keep the tears from prickling at her eyes. She's just filled with so much relief over seeing such a familiar face. ]

Tony! [ Don't worry, Tony. She's, too, trying to keep the emotion out of her voice and failing horribly. ]

...um.

[ Oh, right.

She still hurt like hell. He helped her feel like she didn't hurt for a brief few moments, which she's grateful for. ]

I got my ass handed to me back home. It, uh... wasn't flashy and probably would have gotten a three out of ten from you.

[ Hearing her say his name made it even harder to stop being emotional. Despite how he'd feel in nearly any other case, in this instance he didn't have the capacity or even the desire to hide how he felt. She'd always been safe that way. ]

Any fight you're in is an automatic ten. I bet the other guy looks even worse. [ Tony was trying to joke like his regular self, but it wasn't really working. He needed to go get her. Take care of her. Repay her for all she'd done. Hold her. ] Listen, I want you to stay right where you are. Wait for me, okay?

[ Dammit, Tony. She's not supposed to cry and yet, she can feel the waterworks wanting to happen at any second. Don't get her wrong -- she has people that genuinely care for her back home and are willing to help her out however possible. However, it's here that she's formed some of the strongest bonds with people that she's ever had in her life. ]

...Thank you. [ She'll tell him the gritty details later for sure, but for now, it's deeply appreciated that he thinks she did all right when personally, the fight she was in could have gone a lot better with fewer mistakes. ]

All right, I can take ten. [ That's her way of saying she's in way too much pain to physically move and yet, it's her spirit that keeps on fighting through it. ] I'll be right here by the Bay.

Hey, don't thank me for telling the truth. [ His response was uncharacteristically soft, which only served to prove that he was having just as hard of a time holding it together. ] I'll make it nine. Sit tight.

[ True to his word, he was there within the allotted time. He hadn't been a fan of living in the provided newcomer space, but just this once he saw the benefit to it. When Hikaru came into view he spanned the rest of the distance between them in a matter of seconds. Before words could even come out, Tony found himself gently wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close. It would have been a stronger embrace if not for Hikaru's physical state, but that didn't stop him from from putting his entire heart into it. Small streams of water ran down his face all the while, but it was just them. It didn't matter what anyone else thought. Eventually he reluctantly let go, but it was only to hold her shoulders and look her in the eye. His smile was small but entirely sincere. ]

I missed you so much, kid.

[ It was a huge effort on her part to stand up for as long as she could with her hand resting gingerly on her side and her vision swimming slightly as a result of the exertion. Crimson eyes widened when she saw Tony coming into her field of vision and she wants to go run after him, but her body prevents that. She's immensely grateful when he decides to close the space in between them and her form slumps against his the moment his arms wrap around her. Her bottom lip quivers and she starts to just sob in relief right there with her trying her best to keep the sounds of her crying muffled. She was so glad to see him, especially knowing that he still remembers her after all this time. ]

I... I missed you so much, too, Tony... So very much... I'm sorry for returning like this.

[ Her gaze shifts upward when the embrace is broken and her fingers move to wipe at the tears that fell with her trying her best to show him that smile of hers. ]
