Potpourri of Starters

WHO: Orihime Inoue, OPEN
WHAT: Orihime's getting settled into Genessia and embarks on many adventures in many places.
WHEN: September 25th - October 5th
WHERE: ERR'WHERE
NOTES: I put up a variety of starters of things she said she'd do or was planning on getting around to doing, but you're absolutely free to start up something new or request an additional starter to catch up with her.

Honestly, Orihime felt really bad about letting her plans fall through with Grell and the doctor whose name she still didn't know. The incident that Shinjiro had suffered couldn't have been predicted, but even so, there was a nagging twinge of guilt about it. She'd apologized and asked to visit again after she could take comfort in Shinjiro's well-being, again aiming for something in the morning hours when her presence was least likely to stir up hunger and hostility from the night-loving dwellers in Everglade.

Stepping through the Archway, the rush of raw spiritual energy was almost overwhelming. She was quick to tamp down on her own reiatsu to make her spirit indistinguishable from any other ordinary human's to those who were sensitive to such things. After all, she was human, her soul had just undergone a lot more training and was therefore stronger.

Still, she was surprised at just how many active spirits she felt in this city. Not all of them were content to rest just because the sun was up, either, but she kind of expected that. Only vampires were supposed to be truly nocturnal, right? And werewolves only changed when the full moon was out as far as she knew.

On one of those points, she would be proven wrong.

Orihime walked further past the archway so as not to block pedestrian traffic, heading for the busier section of the city with shops and offices. She tapped at her communicator. "I've just arrived. So far, so good!"

The first step to finding out about Kyrgyzstan cuisine at the Attleton library was learning how to spell it and where to find it on a map. Once she'd lugged out an oversized atlas and opened it up to see a beautiful full-color map of Europe and Asia and using Joruk's own information, she found the country soon enough and felt a small swell of triumph. Now she just had to hunt down the part of the library with recipe books.

That part wasn't difficult. Walking out of the library with only the maximum number of books allotted to her, however, caused her great sorrow. There had been so many cookbooks, and not just from Earth either! There were places she'd never heard of, with fanciful titles like "Poffins and You: Feed Your Pokemon Right!" She had no idea what a Poffin or a Pokemon was, but if she ever ran across one, she would have a resource to draw upon to feed that Pokemon right.

Sadly, only five books were allowed to her, so she'd picked up French Desserts, European Baking, The Silk Road Gourmet, Cookies Cakes and Confectionaries, and Desserts of the Islands. There were so many other cookbooks she wanted to research, but right now, the bakery dream had to come first. This way she could lay out hundreds of dessert ideas with Shinjiro and whittle them down so that the selection remained varied, but the ingredients appropriately utilized.

She hugged the stack to her chest as she trotted down the stairs of the Attleton Library, pausing to gaze in the direction of the university. Maybe, she thought, Scott had the right idea. An opportunity for education, especially given the high costs of tuition in her world, was something she should think about. Maybe she could even seek out astronaut training in Nova City!

Orihime sighed happily. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to pick up a course catalog...

In the streets of Genessia City itself, Orihime could be spotted on a daily basis moving to and from the grocery store. Every day, it was the same: she walked in, and about twenty minutes later, she walked out with her arms supporting a huge bag of flour, or occasionally sugar. On top of that bag were piled a few more ingredients that didn't seem to have any real association with each other. Yams and cheese. Wasabi, peaches, and noodles. Way too many strawberries. The ingredients themselves changed daily, but her shopping had become almost clockwork.

But her shopping trips weren't the only activities keeping her from being a recluse. She had plenty of shops she wanted to explore, especially those which specialized in selling baked goods. The last thing she wanted to do was infringe on someone else's star specialty item.

And, admittedly, an excuse to eat someone else's cooking was always very welcome, and she had no qualms about buying sacks of cookies or donuts to eat as she wandered around.

In short, running into her during her daily explorations was highly possible at some point.
