[Action/Video] Summoned to another front?!
Who: Yuudachi
What: Yuudachi wakes up in a very strange place
When: 10 October
Where: The Bay
Notice: Poi can mean many things from 'I think' to maybe to any number of things except 'No'
Waking up in a pod is never enjoyable even though it's the first time for Yuudachi. The Destroyer realizing she was trapped struggled and pulled out as she squirmed out of the prison. She splashed around as she got fully out, her rigging being caught on the cocoon more than once.
Was this a prank? She knew she was exhausted last night from the Nagasaki - Okinawa route and the ensuing battles during the convoy escort. But she most definitely remembered sleeping in her bed, maybe. Still the blond groggily stood on the shallow water stretching as she looked at the box nearby. "If this is a prank then where am I? And why would they leave me a box?"
She quickly stowed it away as she sailed out of the shallow waters. Then it dawned on her. She was wearing her rigging! And from what she could tell had live ammo?! Yuudachi was tired but she knew the rules and considering how beat up she got last night and all the rounds and torpedoes she used she should be feeling a lot less heavy now. "Okay who did this? Aoba you can come out now! This isn't funny." She looked side to side as she sailed out into the open, barely accelerating considering how shallow these waters were. "So if this isn't some sorta prank then what does it mean, poi...." She ran those ideas through her head and her hip turrets began to twitch slightly. "Did the Abysaals attack and capture me? No way... they'd probably have killed me first, I think."
Still she was about to break daylight and it was in the middle of a city?! Yuudachi had thought she was more used to the world now but this was definitely NOT right. Oh there's a kiosk. Maybe they just dumped her in a park. This isn't a cool prank at all. Just switch from walking on water to walking land and not get surprised and almost fire the main battery at the fancy and probably expensive display.
One long information dump later and Yuudachi watching it again to make sure she actually heard what she heard as this was so crazy for her. And she was a shipgirl!
Still that box was a gift for her. Time to open it up and figure out what else is in the box outside the money she was the display mentioned.
That chain is kinda gaudy looking and Yuudachi's not going to be showing it off so she tucked it under her serafuku before taking out the phone and paperwork with it. A few minutes later and the destroyer is finally having the phone up. "Really different than the one I got back home. It's not even matching my outfit or got a nice case on it..." She shook her head as she looked at the other things. "So... they want me to try it out, poi? Let's see"
The video began with a rather noticeable finger partially covering the screen as a voice was heard, "--be working poi? Oh, wait! Where is it? There!" the image switches to showing a girl in her mid teens with sandy blonde hair with a yellow hair clip and red eyes looking into the image, with something metallic behind her.
"So apparently I was captured and brought here by something no one knows about? Um, this is weird. Oh wait a second." She snapped to a salute image panning upwards a bit cutting off a bit of her neck, "Shiratsuyu-class destroyer, Yuudachi reporting." The salute dropped as she came fully back into frame. "Almost forgot to do the formal introduction."
The sound of her finger tapping on the side of the phone was heard, "Okay with that done does anyone really know where I could find a place around here near something deeper than this kiddie pool of a bay? It's pretty and all but it's really not even a pond, much less a lake and most definitely not the ocean!"
She scratched at her cheek before she continued. "But yea is there anywhere that can do that? It'd really be nice if I could at least get a place that I could see the sea at. No clue if I can take calls or texts or whatever while I'm sending a video so gonna just turn this off and wait a bit, poi."

"Okay there we go," Yuudachi said as she tapped her foot, "So I definitely gotta turn it off to receive. Probably can't even multitask with it." She cupped her elbow as she tapped her chin a few times, "Oh yea, Well It's not reporting to anyone but it's more procedure if I'm gonna be doing any Public Relations stuff. JMSDF rules for us girls you know. Although I thought people woulda recognized me, poi. I mean I did have a few fancy photo ops a while back."
A moment of realization as her red eyes went wide and she bopped herself on her forehead, "Gah I forgot those were before I got remodeled." She looked a little sheepish, "And with how things were going... Okay makes sense some people wouldn't recognize me, poi?"
Maybe she was a bit stranger than she seemed. "Okay this works," Yuudachi said as she came over and cut the video feed again. Looks like she found a way to properly prop up that phone without holding it.

He's yet to find anyone who's listened to the explanation offered by Weiss in her recording, or who've read over the brocures and still assumed this was something to do with their worlds or anything that might be similar. He, of course, had seen too many things here and in his own world to assume it was a simple oversight on her part.
With his free hand, he tapped his chin thoughtfully, and when he spoke, is voice was deep, his accent cultured, his tone amicable. Strange though this girl's reaction was, there was no cause for alarm, after all.]
I don't know of anyone looking to hire Public Relations specialists, but I'm fairly certain you've traveled a bit beyond the scope of this "JMSDF" or any rules it's ordained. [A slight smirk tugs one corner of his lips with the gentle jab.] Bit of a celebrity where you come from, then, I take it? I apologize, but I haven't the faintest idea who you are...Yuudachi, was it? [He inclines his head.] Dorian Pavus, at your service.
[He raises a finger as though another thought had just occurred to him.] As for the ability to perform simultaneous tasks, the device should be capable. I saw something in its accompanying literature about it somewhere. I'll have to take a look.
[And he waves a hand to dismiss the thought as unimportant at the moment.] And what's this about 'remodeling', then? It seems an odd term for a make over... [He releases a breath, almost sounding annoyed and gives a shake of his head.] All my questions and none of yours. You must be confused. How might I help you?

"Well it's not a specilization, poi... It's just training you know. Gotta look good at times and not embarrass the others. Especially embarrassing my sisters," Yuudachi said as she shook her head, "And really with things being taken who knows if anyone else was taken from home. Like there could be another shipgirl here and I'd not even know it yet."
Her hairflaps seemed to jump at the entire Celebrity comment, "Well not at all compared to someone like Nagato or Yamato. Or even some of the foreigners like Iowa and Bismark." She tapped her hip, "I mean back really early on when we didn't have many of us our wins were really big. Especially when we managed to take down an entire battlegroup! I even got the finishing blow on Ru, poi! It was really big news when we got back and a nice photo op. But when you get a lot more battles everywhere and others getting some crazy claims you kinda get less noticed. I don't mind because you don't anyone trying to sneak into the base and catch you coming out of the baths or back home when you get your outfit wrecked..."
A long sigh, "Wait you don't know about remodels? Wait you're probably not from home so... uh." Yuudachi paused as the background seemed to change but she's either suddenly learned to really stabilize her phone while walking or something weird was going on.
"I mean uh... it's more than a makeover. I'm not even sure there is a way for a human to get a remodel like we do. Um, lemee see... I got a new funnel, some mounts for my 12.7 centimeters guns on the side, a little upgrade for my Type 90s and a snazzy new paint scheme for them. Oh yea I got a new hairclip out of the deal and my eyes became red! It makes me look really scary in the dark! Guess its remembering back when they started calling me the Nightmare of Solomon, poi," the destroyer said although she left out some more personal changes that some stranger needed to know.
She turned around smoothly as she had her back now to the dome, still very stable camerawork. "But Dorian, I'm pretty sure I need to figure out how to actually find some things, "I got this card to go to a place but um..." She trailed off, "How do I tell what to do in an apartment? I mean I gotta have roomates right? Will I even know if I have them until I move in?" The shipgirl seemed to be stationary now. "And where can I find a place to get clothes made in the way I want? I mean I can't get to my old closet full of clothes."
It was a flash of insight and she suddenly perked up, "Oh yea! Has anyone seen these people who are super pale and having all this black outfits and rigging on? Really don't want to have to battle in the city," She crossed her hand over, covering the view screen before she cut the video.
