Hey everyone. [grin and peace sign] It seems like it's gonna be a great night for a party, huh? The wind's right and I think the moon is gonna look awesome tonight. Anyone is welcome to come to a bonfire and booze night at the beach in Fayren. Bring food if you got it but I'm going to be fishing and hunting-- so if you want anything, let me know.

We could use music too! So bring instruments or get ready to sing!

[Ace can be found hunting in Fayren or fishing. Otherwise he's gathering wood for an enormous bonfire-- with a trunk or five of booze nearby and plenty of big creatures to roast. It's just that kinda night]

[for a bonfire and booze party it seems more complacent than most, at least on the outset. There is plenty of food and drink and surfboards set up on the sand just in case. There is also a little radio just in case no one bought any instruments. With any luck there will be singing and dancing around the roaring bonfire soon enough. Try not to get immolated though. It is fairly large.]

[it also happens to be his birthday!! Which he mentioned to like...Dorian, and that's about it. No, he probably told Ace as well, since this is the second one he's had in Genessia. Bartolomeo the Cannibal, now a robust 26!

There's a little something forced about his enthusiasm, though. Maybe because it is a second birthday spent here without his crew and all the comforts of home. Maybe because this one doesn't have guest star Luffy-senpai and the other Straw Hats. Whatever it is, Barty's not telling, but the astute and the observant will pick up that his laugh is a bit too loud, his fire-dancing a bit too over the top, and there are more empty bottles around him than there really should be.]

Wheeee! C'mon, let's start up another one! CONGA LINE AROUND THE BONFIRE!

Party on the beach? Amy's there. She left a post-it note for Rory that said "Partying, come find me." Because he'll always come for her, and because she might have left while he was at work. If nothing else, she knew he'd come to keep her from kissing everyone in sight. Not that she'd do that - much - until she knew he was nearby. Teasing him was one of life's simple pleasures.

She did toss a text to River and all forms of the Doctor, letting them know where she was. And one to Rose, telling her to bring Doctor McGrumpy pants and the rest of the Tardis gang with her.

That done, she put on a short skirt, a red sweater, a leather jacket, nice shoes that were also not terrible for the beach and her sonic specs. With all the confidence of Amy Pond - which was tons - she sauntered her way over to the party. The great thing about short skirts... alright, one of the great things,... was she'd be able to get pretty deep into the waves without her clothes getting wet. It was time to have some FUN!

You said bring music, so here comes a man in a painfully pink shirt, under an even pinker jacket, with a guitar. He'd find a quiet place, and set about making it less so. Thing is? He's good. He's really really good. He started off with a slow ballad. Feel free to come make requests.

Well Mirajane had planned on coming to the party to provide music, and lo and behold this old man with his guitar has beaten her to it. The thing is? She does recognize he's got hell of good talent going on there, so rather than scoff or sulk...

It's dueling banjo time!

Bring it on pink man wearing pink! This girl will out rock you in a bunny girl outfit! ... Or if that fails, she'll just join in, and maybe start up a mini band with him.

He grinned, spotting her. "And to think I was worried about my grey hare." Smirk. "We could play together if you want, I'm in...if you care to...du-it." Yeah, he did just make a duet/do it pun, and a rabbit pun. Just wanted to make sure you knew what you were getting into, rather than him just... stringing you along...

And he rose to the occasion of her playing, he could duel will with an axe or a sword.

"Well you've certainly got some moves grandpa, but do you have the wild energy of a bunny?" She's just going to give him a playful wink, a hop, a swish of her butt bunny tail, and then with a crack of her fingers a spark of magic sends her guitar into the squeal of an electric guitar riff.

"I've got the power, if you've got the moves. Come on, hop to it!" Or at least try to keep up, and you can call the shots of the next song.

"I'd say the chords would multiply, but I'm a happily married man," he teased back. "Still, I'll jump at the chance to rock, if that's how you roll."

He kept up with her, though acoustically.

"I;ll power through, but that magic is shocking. Usually I need the Maestro to hit my axe with lighting to get that kind of sound. You know why we call the lightning mage Maestro, don't you?"

"You're seriously punishing me here gramps. It's nice to see even at your age you've still got the soul of a rocker." She meant that too, because there weren't too many people who were able to rock alongside her, or have the energy to want to at his age.

"I'll admit, I'm cheating a little bit in that I have a little something up my sleeve." She turns her hand into a demon claw that crackles with electricity for just a moment, before changing it back again. "I have a feeling your Maestro is a bit familiar with the concept of electric guitars too. If you feel like you need a boost, just let me know. Oh, and be sure to get the okay from your wife if she's here, we wouldn't want to shock her with what you're getting up to."

"I leave the rockers on the porch, and not a grandfather just yet, thanks. Well, unless you count Quilt..." He was smiling, but there was some sadness in his eyes for a fallen friend. "As for my soul, I find that remark a little fishy. You need to tuna your jokes a little if you want to hit the right key."

"Hey, hands are what most of us have up our sleeves. Without sleeves, we'd have to rely on the right to bare arms. But if you want to zap my axe, I think Miranda would be okay with that. Her evil eyes might feel like a bolt out of the blue, but she usually has a reason."

"You might want to tone down the dial on your double entendres there, or you might break something." Like someone's nerves, or your legs... you know... little things. Maybe make a rule of only using one to two puns per sentence to spare her from groaning like she does at the tuna comment.

"Well nobody's going to be taking my bear arms away from me." ... Yes she did turn her arms into that of a bear, just for the pun of the moment... shut up. "But if you're willing to risk the wrath of your wife finding out what I did with your instrument while she wasn't looking, I suppose I can give it a little jolt of excitement."

... Dammit now he's got her doing it worse than she was before. Poof go the bear arms, back come the bare arms.

"Can we call a truce and agree to not use quite so many puns in our sentences? I think I'm going to trip over my tongue, and I haven't even challenged you to tongue twisters yet... and before you get any ideas, no, that's not the sort of game your wife would disapprove of you old fox."

"Given we're more or less on stage, hoping that something is a leg. Always wanted to get a leg up in this business." Sorry, bun, he's a Deegan.

"Then if they try, you'll just have to bring all you have to bear against them." Yeah, not stopping anytime soon. "I think she'd find it en-lightninging." That one was a stretch, even for him.

"Finding it a bit... pun-ishing. Not sure I can slow down though. Bad jokes, good music, and excellent Orcish. Add a rapier wit when I'm fencing, and you pretty much have me summed up." So many bits of bait there, but would she bite?

"I could always break one of your legs so you can see how you like it. I could even dislocate it and put you left leg in, your left leg out, your left leg in and then shake it all about." Did... Did she just transform herself into a dominatrix from a bunny girl? Yes, yes she did. One of the fun things about transformation magic was that she could also use it on her outfits for visual gags.

"Believe me, I can show you a world of punishments, but the road to get there is taxed heavily, and I still refuse to do anything your wife wouldn't forgive you for." He's getting a playful wink, because she likes the old guy, but she likes him as a happily married man, and her flirtations are only a means to a joke.

Yeah, he's been to Erossus, the outfit was nothing he hadn't seen worse than before. "I dunno, that whole thread seems a little hokey to me. You might just wind up in the pokey if the sheriff overhears you. But you have to be you, I guess. That's what it's all about, after all." Yes, he just said you have to be you to someone who keeps transforming. Because he's Donovan Deegan.

"Not sure how long that will last, it's a small world after all. And if walking the road is so taxing, maybe you should take a cart, that is if you've rode there before." He grinned back. He took the flirting as harmless, as he would no matter her intention. Because he adored his wife and would never step out on her. And even if he would, he was terrified of his wife, and would never step out on her.

He hoped Dominic knew what he was in for, with Luna.

[When River got the text from Amy, she headed over after changing quickly. She's dressed in jeans that will dry quickly enough if she does decide that she needs to take a dip in the ocean. For right now, however, River has just planted herself down near the bonfire, and she's holding a bottle of the beer that she's brought. Her sandals are in front of her, and she's just digging her toes into the sand with an amused smile on her face.]

[Angela wasn't always the kind of person to go to parties; In fact, she was usually working and she's actually allowed herself to go be social for a change. So there she was, awkwardly sitting by the bonfire with a beer in hand. Not wearing her Valkyrie suit or work attire, she came win more comfortable clothing, leaving off her wings and halo.

Okay, you came here, now be social, Mercy. Except she's become more aware that she really hasn't met many people here yet...]
