[He'll be there, of course, but it's always nice to know what he's sticking his head in. ...and singing meadows does sound like the sort fo place they'd visit.]
[Had to be self because Ten knows you won't like the request anymore than he likes asking but - he's upset. No outraged at Rose. And this is only going to lead down a very bad path if he allows this to continue and stops when himself arrives. He can't even fake a smile and there are hostile vibes around him but not about himself]
You're not going to like it...
[A pause]
The night at Fairy Haven, Rose made all of us attend - [He's silent for a moment but he doesn't want to snap on himself and slowly speaks]
After a month of her going on about Metacrisis and the future - she said that night it was about the here and now.
[The Doctor just gets an exasperated look at that warning, like that's just about what he should expect, really. He raises his eyebrows at the mention of the party, then sighs and sort of grimaces at the rest.]
...saw you lot, there, tried to keep out of your way...
[He watches his younger self for a moment, eyes narrowed like he's got an idea or two about where this might be going. It's pretty obvious his younger incarnation didn't call on him just to vent, so...]
What've you got in mind, exactly? Nothing I can do 'bout all our timelines being out of sync, well, not at this moment, anyway, but you know that, so...
[There aren't a lot of places this could feasibly going, but he's reluctant to give his younger self the idea if he doesn't have it already.]
Right, yeah, of course, mmory alteration, even after-
[He stalls out there, going rapidly from indignant to cross, eyes narrowed and making a super scowly face and waving an index finger at his younger self. Of course, he couldn't know why it's so extra appalling for that face to suggest what he's suggesting; he hasn't done it yet. It was more or less what he was afraid he was going to hear.
Still, it takes the Doctor a moment to work through it, himself, to confirm that there really isn't a better option at this point. He's already seen how much his younger self had slipped by the time of his own arrival. He runs a hand back through his hair, fixing his prior incarnation with a series look--one of very few he's seen on this usually deliberately absurd, purosely silly face, so far.]
......if we're really doing this... it's only the spoilers, the details, you know as well as I do I can't fix ev'rything between you lot. It's first aid, and you'll have to make sure you don't pick at the bandage, anything I can lock away, you can unlock if you set your mind to it. ...I can put it all away with ev'rything else we don't want to remember like a perception filter but if you go there, I can't actually keep you out.
[All those details of the Time War that he keeps locked in a box and doesn't think about if he can at all avoid it; just the place he won't go sticking his nose for memories he shouldn't have anyway. He pauses a tick, giving his younger self a searching look.]
...you're sure 'bout this? Not exactly irreversible, but it can only be more traumatic, taking down those walls, if you change your mind.
It was the spoilers that started all of this in the first place. It was the spoilers that she wouldn't stop bloody screaming at me. It was the spoilers that were said the moment she saw me.
[A deep inhale]
She wants to now, make it about this place. She doesn't want to take responsibility for her actions. She thought she owed it to me to do that.
I'm sure.
[Because quite honestly, he doesn't want to strangle his Rose and head nods. He knows that he has the ability to pick at the lock if he wants too and he doesn't want too]
I won't change my mind.
[Even if that means forgetting the angry sex with Rose]
[The Doctor takes a deep breath, then nods and lets it out.]
...I'll leave as much as I can about the present, it'll raise the fewest questions--only the details we couldn't resist following.
[He clasps his hands and rubs them together, raising his eyebrows, putting on a brave face despite how dubious and uncomfortable he is with this plan. It's what they've got to work with, though; adapt, adopt, and improve.]
......well. Whenever you're ready, then, just give us a nod.
[There's a head nod; all things considered - Ten isn't expecting anything about Rose herself being here still remembered.
Another inhale - he's already left himself a note to not let Rose get jealous and to not be a crowd with getting close and begins to let down his mental shields and pushing the memories to the surface. Of the fighting and screaming (including Ten saying he'd go back and change things she was still not satisfied) they've had. Of the long emo days, Ten has had by himself and the guilt of hurting Rose and everyone in the future that led to the aspirin incident. Where Rose told Ten that if he doesn't have anything to give up to come back - to give up the memories of Rose; that it was alright too.
Which was all about MetaCrisis and how she has dumped back into her the parallel universe with her mom, Mickey and Peter. And MetaCrisis. And making Rose seem like she had a choice but really didn't. He made the choice for her.
Ten getting upset to the point of literally vomiting from fighting with Rose about this and Eleven will probably notice that it's probably all the memories with Ten and Rose and even the happy moment with the sex was angry sex. Which snowballed off aspirin incident.
Jack telling Ten that they all end up alright, Martha and everyone and how 12 told 10 that 10 will end up ruining all of their lives.
That Jack told Ten that Ten will - mind wipe someone in the future for some reason and Davros being involved in the end of what is to come.
Finally - Amy - saying that she found her Doctor with that tie still 'cooking' in her backyard with a crashed Tardis alone.
Then gives himself a head nod. He doesn't know who he's going to mind wipe himself in the future but this seems like it's fitting.
Do you see why yourself snapped when Rose said after all of that - it was about now?
Ten is however, keeping what The Master looks like that Jack showed him because he knows Professor Yana is a Time Lord and that isn't too far into his own future.]
[The Doctor raises his hands, giving his younger self a few seconds to brace himself, prepare, and set up whatever mental barricades and road signs he thinks may be important, before touching his fingertips to his younger self's face, maximizing the neural connection for easier telepathic contact.
It's all a bit much. He'd walled off a lot of memories, himself, about how overwhelming it was, being his previous regeneration, having just that one really awfully big psychic barrier blocking off that one terrible decision and everything to do with it. When he'd first met Rose, he'd been nothing BUT a maze of walls, total chaos in the wake of what he'd done. He's really relearned how to open himself up to feelings again, through her and Micky and Jack--but how to handle those feelings was another story entirely. Although he remembered in the abstract, he'd paved over a lot of the anguish and manic exhilaration that had come with bulldozing centuries of internal psychic defenses.
It takes him a moment to get his bearings, but he goes about carefully cleaning up the mess. He draws a line at the point where the Master had taken the TARDIS, and his younger self arrived in Genessia, then goes about sorting through for things he really shouldn't know. The Master's new face, he'll leave alone--that knowledge is just a matter of minutes in his future, anyway. The knowledge of how he splits up from everyone else, though, he has to seal away, especially of leaving Rose in the parallel universe, especially especially of wiping someone's memory and of Davros, of meeting Amy alone.
...it's best not to seal away too much of what's happened in Genessia--it's all out of their synchronized timeline, and not really any of this Doctor's business to pry into... but he does scrape away some of the emotional context--the psychic analogue to cleaning the wound so it at least won't re-infect itself, like desensitization therapy for PTSD or phobias, but quicker and more direct. He'll know some things happened, for better or worse, but they'll be things he'll feel have been resolved and don't need to be hashed over again and again forever trying to fix them.
Of course, information can't be destroyed without causing damage, so all of those things go in a box, wrapped in layers of tape, surrounded by "Keep Out!" and "Beware of Panthers!" signs. Of course, he knows he's too inquisitive to just say not to look, so he has to give his younger self a perfect reason not to question a box of forbidden memories. So he shoves it into the one place, the one room in the attic of the palace of his mind, where he knows his younger self won't go looking if he doesn't absolutely need to--at least, not until there's no more need to conceal those things from him:
Among his memories of the Time War.
Once it's done, he pulls his hands away--ready to catch his younger self and set him down gently, if he faints, which would be pretty understandable after that sort of telepathic surgery.]

[Ten won't say anything else till himself is there and is restless waiting on himself]

[He's there quite promptly--they are, after all, good with time--strolling up with a quizzical sort of smile.]
So, enigmatic, today, aren't we, what can I do for you, then?

Memory alteration.
I shouldn't know of any that anyways.
