[ When the video flicks on, Konoka is at first focused on her face. Her eyes look... redder. Not completely red compared to her normal brown eyes, but notably redder. But since her face hogs the screen one could easily just blame the camera, right? She looks concerned. ]

Everything seems to have gone weird this morning. There's monsters in Genessia at night, people becoming monsters in Nova City, people facing their monsters in Attleton, and then little monsters eating my store in Everglade.

Hey, but on the bright side Fayren gives you a free costume when you walk through it!

But even through all that, I have a very important question.

[ She finally pulls back, revealing that she's not in her regular casual clothes, but an orange, form fitting jumpsuit and long sleeved blouse that hugs her figure. But most of all Konoka seems to have horns curling back behind her like a ram's, tiny wings and... a spade tipped tail? ]

Why does touching people feel so good?

Oh! And just a reminder, guys! For those of you dealing with those naughty monsters, I sell good protection at my store! These spells can erect quick barriers, lay traps, and even make copies of you to scout or deliver magical attacks to better survive those rough nights. And of course if you take too much damage, I can make the pain go away and heal for free, regardless if I'm at the store or enroute back home. Take care, okay?

[ Konoka's schedule tends to go like this: When she wakes up, she makes a beeline for Fayren to get her free costume, which changes every day. After that, she might spend the day at her store in Everglade, catching naps if she doesn't have any customers. In the evening she heads home, though checking in by person or comms if someone needs medical help. ]

[Cue a very worried Maribelle, still looking perfectly human and not wearing any ridiculous costumes, so clearly she was not in Nova city during the monster transformations, and she was not in Fayren, or at least not while ask if Konoka was okay.]

Please don't go outdoors late at night, it's gotten very dangerous out there and I'll need to stop by Robin's soon to see if I can find some more weapons to use. While parasol-fu is all well and good for defeating average brigands and ne'er do wells, monsters is quite another matter! ... Oh I hope nobody accidentally hurts anyone who's been transformed if they are traveling late at night.

[ Konoka's cry was mostly shocked, but there was a strange lilt to it as well. She whirled around to her attacker. ]

I knew something was up when I wandered into Nova City this morning!

[ Konoka took another glance at herself, including poking at her spade-tipped tail, though the spade looked very much like a heart. ]

Gosh, I didn't think it'd be so big.

[ She's not a vampire, but she knows what Eva means. ]

But I guess I'm a creature of the night? Don't know what brought this on. I don't feel particularly evil... or even like you.

I think you know well enough by now that demons aren't evil by nature. But they're divided from humanity all the same. For reasons good and ill.

[ Konoka nodded. That much was very true, and that was also from understanding what Negi had become in order to save the world.

Though that didn't stop her from getting flustered. ]

Anyway, this feels a little different? Like, I know touching can feel good but this feels... better than normal, with less effort.

Just the one I know of. She's quite the person if I can say so myself.

I wish my senses were enhanced. I'm barely able to detect magic intuitively, often I just have to do my work following up what a friend comes up with.

I was referring to the time before I came to Genessia. Aside from training to be a mage, I also had to investigate magical goings on.

Here in Genessia though I just fashion charms for people's protection and utility. Proving pretty useful for these monsters.

[Ted was running errands in Fayren, looking into whatever progress some of its mages had made into a very sensitive subject. For his troubles, it had seen fit to don him in the armor of a knight. A clown knight.

Imagine his surprise when, among the renaissance fair townsfolk, he spies a very saucy-looking lady. He peers through his visor, peeking at her completely exposed-

[ Only one person would talk to her with a load of jerk-faced assumptions. Having swept up here on the final day, Konoka's pitch black threads were swapped in favor of a dark, flowing dress that hugged her body and huge cuffs instead. Her spade-tipped tail swirls with its lower half pointing up stiffly. ]

Geez, I'd hate to run into a dark alleyway with you around. For your information, I have been working the night shift.

[ Too bad she's going to do absolutely nothing to counter his assumptions this time. Maybe being a "creature of the night" has its upsides in more ways than the obvious. ]

[ Konoka's smile returns, but in dangerous form. While she does nothing to keep him from grabbing it, she does jerk it out of his hands a moment later after he's gotten a good look at it. They're light. ]

Those are just props, Ted, and aren't particularly good at what you might think they're for.
