[Open/Kinda] It's a Birthday Party!
Who?: Koishi and those who got invitations
*Note: (invitations are hand-waved. Anyone who knows Koishi/who knows someone who knows Koishi/wandered in by complete accident is welcomed.)
What?: Koishi's "birthday" party. She's turning 415 years old.
Where?: Chireiden
When?: 5/14 get it? 5-1-4? go-ichi-shi? ko-i-shi?
Warnings: None probably
This was it! Today was the day! It was Koishi's "birthday." Not her true day of birth, as she didn't remember, though she did know it was in the spring and she might as well have it on the day that punned with her name. Right?
Again, the route though the waterways would be clearly marked with lights for those who had not been or had forgotten, the monsters scared and sealed away to allow safe passage. After passing though, guests would find themselves on the back side of an obelisk in front of an imposing looking palace. Streamers and lights would lead the way around to he back where the party was being held. The gardens of Chireiden were decorated appropriately. From decorative stones in the fish pond that glowed (unappreciated by the resident koifish) to decorative streamers and banners and paper lanterns that stretched from the palace to the trees.
The spread of food was rich and diverse from traditional Japanese dishes to more western styled ones. A large cake sat in the middle of the table decorated beautifully in greens and dark blues. One corner held the telltale markings of a finger that couldn't wait until later for a taste. The massive jug of tea had made an appearance once again sitting at the end of the table next to a truly impressive amount of alcohol. Wines, beers, and of course sake. Several of the bottles of the latter were very clearly labeled as too potent for human consumption.
There were several other tables scattered about. One held a variety of magical devices such as jewelry and a list of instructions. Another had a number of party hats and masks on it ranging from ones shaped to roughly look like the ones bought from the store to slightly more elaborate ones made from feathers and folded paper. The masks were old and wooden and likely taken from a festival long ago. They were mostly used to decorate the table itself but no doubt someone could wear one if they wished.
Anyone who had been to Chireiden before would remember the huge variety of pets kept by the elder sister. Every one was out and about now, begging for food or attention. Fortunately Satori's black panther had taken up residence on the garden wall behind the table of food and none of the other animals would dare try and steal from it, but that didn't stop them from attempting to get food on unattended plates.

1) Presents!

One hasty redressing later, he's nervously fidgets a white flower into Koishi's hands. "I, um...well, here you are. It's the best I could do on short notice."
Ted's a hit-or-miss gift-giver at the best of times. And Koishi already seemed like she had everything anyway. The flower he'd bought at Terra's new shop lasted as long as promised, give or take some wear or tear since the purchase.

"Open it! This is for you!"

"Here! I hope you like it..."

She offered a long, plainly wrapped box. It would contain a white parasol decorated with a variety of of colorful diamond shapes, a bit like her wings, as well as a box of tea kind of crowbared into one corner.
"Okay, ready?" And then the unwrapping began!

Inside the box was a grey teddy bear with a bright green and yellow ribbon. It was fairly obvious the vampire had spent a lot of time on the gift...at least she chose something she knew about!
"Do you like it?"

"Happy...Birthday, Koishi." She came close to saying "Hatchday", which was the dragonkind equivalent in Sornieth. "I'm sorry I didn't bring any presents..."

Inside would be a tiny octagonal prism made of hell glass containing several motes of light drifting slowly through some sort of liquid. The glass was edged and sealed top and bottom with heavy red hellmetal and had a little handle on top to carry it. A lantern?"
"I dunno why but bugs are REALLY attracted to lake motes. If you set it out in the evening you'll have more than you could eat. Especially fireflies. And don't worry it shouldn't break unless you fly up really really high and drop it on rocks. You might crack it if you do that."

Perhaps it'll be useful to Koishi.
"Good day."

She grabbed a package off the table, offering it to Patchouli. It was crudely wrapped. "I got you a book too!" Way to spoil the surprise...

The present was kidnapping
Needless to say, the bright yellow flower's mood was quite sour, but there wasn't much to do but sulk and watch the often exotic passerby. When his captor next approached, she'd receive rolling eyes and a half-assed 'firework' display from Flowey, a couple summoned seeds arching into the air before bursting into tiny specks, accompanied with a monotone "Happy birthday."
...What? You didn't expect an actual gift, did you?
NO! THE PRESENT WAS MORE THOUGHTFUL THAN THAT!
She placed a little package down in the potting soil at the base of his stem. Inside he'd find a pouch with more than a few very intricate cross connecting straps. It would fit over his leaves and hold securely to his stem and likely would not slip off or hurt him when he traveled underground. In fact, it was just big enough for his phone with some room to spare. Inside, in a little side pouch, was a glass vial with a metal serpent snaked around the outside, the head resting on top of the cork, locking it in place.
"The water in Chireiden is special. It's amazingly pure. You can have as much as you like when you're here but if you're feeling down or sick that will perk you right up. And you can refill it whenever you want, okay? Also, if you want to chat ever I put the number for my phone in the bag. And you're always welcomed here. Okay?"
It's gonna include tentacuddles, isn't it?
Flowey is too tiny for tentacuddles.
Would that really stop her from trying? >3>
She doesn't wanna squish him. So probably.
Poor Flowey is too small for hugs
D'awww! Bitty flower!
1) Presents!
Due to the *ahem* environment, Satsuki doesn't arrive in casual attire, but wearing junketsu. She does carry a gift in hand though, and it doesn't take long for her to find the koiball at all of course.
"Happy Birthday, Koishi." Her brows furrow, "Did you pick this day on your own?" Because this particular date.. Frankly, it's been bothering her. Also yes, first name basis now.

Well... So long as Koishi was happy.
"Oh! I almost forgot! I got you something Miss White. I hope you like it." Koishi selected a rather large box from the gift pile, setting it on the corner of the table near Satsuki. Inside she would find... More wrapped presents... And inside those two shogi sets. One was standard but the other was chu shogi Both sets were beautifully carved and the boards themselves had elements of both metal and bone in them. There was also a small bag containing a variety of herb seeds. Attached by string was a slip of paper with brief instructions on how to care for them and how to turn them into tea later.
"Also, you didn't have to get me anything Miss White..." She was curious though and opened the gift.

And.... Dead.
Re: 1) Presents!
Mewtwo showed up flanked - predictably - by Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise with a crate of assorted berries on Venusuar's shoulders. "This is not a custom Pokemon observe, however, it is my understanding that guests are to bring presents, and as such we have all brought a selection of our favorite berries from Lake Purity. I hope you and your sister enjoy them."

And there was the hug. The little youkai moved so fast and with such force its doubtful even one of Mewtwo's force shields could have stopped her. Either way she was clinging to him now, nuzzling and laughing and giving him a little squeeze. But not too tight.
She let go quickly (thank goodness) and turned to greet the three pokemon, giving each a little scratch on the head or neck. (Yes Charizard. You too.) It was about that time Koishi's own pokemon started coming over, Ivysaur absolutely bounding over to nuzzle its mother, chattering about all the adventures they've had.
Goodra looked very interested in trying to give Mewtwo a hug... He might want to do something about that.
Koishi didn't object to the pokemon doing their thing, turning back to the table and retrieving two gifts. One was a very large basket filled to the brim with dense, muffin-shaped cakes of varying hues. Similar to the ones she had brought the pokemon before, but only more of them. These were for the three pokemon to split according to which flavors they preferred.
The other present was actually wrapped, square, and much smaller. She placed it in Mewtwo's hands, ripping one corner of the crude wrapping to ensure his fingers could grasp the paper. And it quickly became apparent as to why. The package seemed to bend his psychic power away from itself.
Inside was a simple greyish and unremarkable cube. "The other thing I gave you pushed back against psychic force. This one bends it. It's for training endurance and steadiness under pressure. If you can push your mind against it at a steady rate then it wont push back any harder than you're putting into it. But if you panic due to the strength of your own force and try to push the cube away or deflect it, the cube's power will just go stronger and you'll slip. So it's an exercise in sustained, steady focus, patience, and calmness in the heat of things."

(Now in the right place!)
Troy waves his arm with a huge smile on his face, all while walking towards his new youkai friend. He is wearing his armor and brought his guns just in case. Part of him hopes it won't be taken as a sign of aggression, but he just likes being prepared and hopes his passive body language is enough to tell he comes in peace. He taps his fingers on a carefully gift-wrapped box he's holding in his hand.
He gives a whistle once he gets within speaking distance, still marveling at the sight of Chireidren.
"Got somethin' for ya"
Troy hands the box to Koishi, adding more flair to the way he gave it and letting the box spin on his palm while he extends his arm.

Speak of the youkai, she perked up when she heard her name called, flying over to Troy with quite the smile on her face. "Oh! Hello Mister! I'm glad you could come." Wait, she had something in her hands too!
Taking the present from Troy, she replaced it with the box she had brought over. It was fairly crudely wrapped in plain brown paper, but it was certainly a present. "This is for you Mister. I hope you like it!" Regardless, she started unwrapping her own present right then and there.
The present given to troy was... a rather simple wooden box, but inside that box was a very ornate tanto with a fairly straight blade and forged in a style that was not recognizable. The handle was bone or horn and merged seamlessly with its mounting. The mounting itself transitioned into a more decorative style a short way down and decorated with carvings and leather made from some unknown creature.
"There are lots of really lovely things left around from when this place was still hell. I think you'll make better use of it than me or sis since we don't really use blades."

NOT LATE

inside Sans would find a new coat in black with some white designs stitched into it as well as a red scarf and red mittens, both with designs matching the coat.
She took the Hot Cat in exchange, tilting her head and giggling at it. "It's almost too cute to eat Mister!" Before taking a big bite out of it. It was meat after all.
Also totally not late.

Inside she would find a dark metal cage with two colorful songbirds inside nestled next to each other on a perch. "They're really well trained so they wont fly away if you want to walk around with them on your shoulders... But only after they've gotten used to you. Wait until you take them home first before taking them out, okay?"
Re: 1) Presents!
She had finally decided on a tea set. Little girls like tea parties, right?
"Happy Birthday, Koishi," she greeted.
no subject
"Here! This is for you, okay?" It actually seemed to be two things tied together. The first was a knit hat with room for her cat-ears with a matching pair of mittens in a dark charcoal gray. The second was much bigger and very heavy. Inside was a tank containing three tiny koifish. There were some decorative rocks on the bottom but it was obviously meant to be a temporary tank.
Then she began to open her own present, her eyes brightening when she turned the box over. "Oh, Miss Shade! Its so cute! Especially the designs. I love it!"
