First Snap - [Video - Night time]

[He managed waking up fine, weird pod and all, and even stranger some information about his new place. He doesn't particularly care, he'd been in an 'anywhere but here' kind of situation. His wish is granted, but as he leaves the bay, there's a monster in front of him.]

Whoa! I come to a new place and there's monsters roaming around!

[The screen goes back, stuffed into a pocket most likely and the sound of gunshots, and a bit of a scuffle.

He appears on screen with a huge grin.]

Haha! Victory!

[He hums a fairly familiar tune, at that.]

Could you move the camera a little to the right, and up?

[ Dorothy had, fortunately for Prompto, explored much of Genessia by now. The city especially - it was easy to do, with a straightforward layout of streets.

With Prompto's help, she was nearly certain she knew where he was.

She was almost at the archway now. Her quick pace might have been hard for a human to manage, but she wasn't hampered by that limitation. ]

[ There. She knows which intersection he's at. As she could have guessed, he's not actually far away from the entrance portal. He must have gotten hit by the monsters soon after leaving the Bay.

Then: ]

Three coming behind you, slowly, trying for surprise.

Action

[personal profile] pianola 2017-10-25 12:48 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Soon, there's the sound of something very large and heavy slamming into things with a metallic bang.

Then, approaching Prompto, is a strange sight -

A small, petite-looking woman, not much taller than five feet high, wearing a costume which was clearly a gothic take on Alice in Wonderland. Lifting up, high above her head, a commercial-sized dumpster from a back alley.

Its purpose was clear when another set of monsters rushed her. Smoothly, without any hint of effort or strain on her face, she brought the dumpster down on top of them in a messy sort of crunch. Anything which still seemed to twitch afterward, she continued to flatten in a series of short, heavy bangs.

It didn't seem like she cared about the state of her outfit, much.

Once that wave of monsters was dealt with, she continued walking toward Prompto, casually carrying her improvised weapon.

Dryly: ]
You hung up before I could give you directions.

Keeping yourself alive is more important.

[ She gave Prompto a once-over, carefully cataloging the damage and the wounds. As easy as these monsters were to fight, they never stopped coming. Eventually, Prompto would tire, and when that happened?

Based on what the announcements on the CPU indicated, he'd be safe once he was inside.

Calmly: ]

Follow me.

You can shoot any foes from a distance. If they close in, I will crush them before they damage you further.

[ Dorothy quietly led them - well, quiet, save for any loud bangs of the dumpster smushing monsters into pavement.

She looked at Prompto, discretely, as she fought. He didn't seem to have been fighting these creatures for too long, actually. Which meant he hadn't been grabbed by them - those bruises on his arms didn't look consistent with rough grappling. Not the type you'd find in uncoordinated combat with mindless animals.

He'd been through a lot, clearly, but it didn't seem like the current battle was the cause.

Eventually, she stated, bluntly: ]

You were injured when you arrived here.
pianola: Dorothy looking down, very disapproving (then dirt in truth is clean)

[personal profile] pianola 2017-10-25 07:13 pm (UTC)(link)
[ She looks at the motion, and her eyes narrow.

Is it pride, that he ignores his injuries? She didn't understand human pride very well, but it would seem to be consistent with what she'd observed.

Still: ]

I can lead you to a hospital, or a healer, instead of the apartment.

... You don't have to answer their questions. I'll tell them to treat your wounds anyway.

[ Dorothy’s eyes narrow a little and then -

wham -

- three zombies in one crunch. Not bad.

She tries to tell herself that the stranger isn’t as badly injured as he seems. ]

All right.

We have a few more blocks to go.

[ Again, there's a long stretch interspersed with murdering via bullets and dumpster.

When they're close to the apartment, though ... ]

... I'm sorry. I realized I haven't introduced myself.

My name is R. Dorothy Wayneright.

[ She leaves the dumpster on the ground, for just a moment, and points towards a doorway across the street. ]

There is the Genessia Commons.

The creatures don't follow people indoors. It's as if they're repelled by a barrier.

Good night, Prompto.

[ And, once he’s under the awning for the door - Dorothy begins to climb up a fire escape.

It’s probably easier to travel via the roofs than on the street, but it likely makes for an odd sight. ]
