First Snap - [Video - Night time]

[He managed waking up fine, weird pod and all, and even stranger some information about his new place. He doesn't particularly care, he'd been in an 'anywhere but here' kind of situation. His wish is granted, but as he leaves the bay, there's a monster in front of him.]

Whoa! I come to a new place and there's monsters roaming around!

[The screen goes back, stuffed into a pocket most likely and the sound of gunshots, and a bit of a scuffle.

He appears on screen with a huge grin.]

Haha! Victory!

[He hums a fairly familiar tune, at that.]

[It's easy enough to tell when he's coming, because he's firing his gun at monsters every so often.

Prompto is looking pretty tired. He's not really bleeding, it's more bruising when he steps into the light.

Although he's not a ninja either, he is used to catching any movement and although he reacts to Shinjiro by raising his gun, he quickly lowers it when he realizes it's a person and not a monster.]

[ Shinjiro knows what it looks like, after somebody’s been held down and worked over. His experiences were ... less professionally done than Prompto’s.

But it left similar marks. And judging by the guy’s reaction, earlier? His face tightened, but he kept any hint of pity off of his face.

It’s what he would have wanted, if someone had ever found him. ]

... Hey.

If I return in about thirty minutes with some shit to heal you, will you be awake enough to open the door?

[He wants to say he's fine, but honestly a potion sounds pretty good right about now. He lets go of his gun and it vanishes, like he said, it's magic.]

Yeah. Yeah, if you've got...I'd appreciate it.

[He smiles, it wavers a little, but it's still there.]

Well, I don’t got any on me, but gimme a few.

And get inside. You look ready to fall over.

[ Shinjiro is probably coming off as rather gruff and intimidating, when he’s pretending he’s not worried. ]

What’s your room number?

[He's not intimidated, and he's used to someone who can be gruff at times. He gives him the number and nods.]

I'm just...going up.

[He points and heads inside, but at least he knows to expect Shinjiro to come back. If he comes back. He might not. All of this could still be a dream.]

[ Shinjiro nods, and then turns and walks toward the nearest location the CPU gives him for Heals on Wheels.

It takes about forty-five minutes, not a half hour, but he's eventually knocking on Prompto's door. ]

[He hasn't done much of anything since he got there, just sitting there staring at the wall.

He gets up and opens the door, leaning against it.]

You came back.

[ Frowns ] Course I did.

[ And then thrusts the potion in his general direction. It's a medium-strength one, nothing too powerful, but not something that'll just heal over a measily few scrapes, either. Shinjiro's not a healer. He can tell Prompto is hurt, but not really how badly. Stubbornness could hide a lot - he knew. ]

This one's on me - if you swear you'll help out the next idiot who goes straight to bed instead of a doctor.

[ There's not a lot of censure there, really. Because he would have probably done the same, in this guy's shoes. ]

[His eyes widen a little and he nods.]

Oh, um, uh huh. Yeah, sure.

[He'd argue he doesn't need a doctor, just some proper rest.]

[ Nods. Still frowning. After Prompto takes the potion, he sticks his hands in his pockets. Notices that his fingers are trying to find that bottle of pills - nervous tic from the last two years - and he scowls. Stupid habit. ]

... Sleep with your guns. It'll help, least the first night.

Unless you're 'xpectin company with you later.

[He lets out a nervous little giggle, because really how can he just read through him like that?]

I w-wasn't...I mean I'm okay.

[He shakes his head.]

No, no company.

[Who would come and visit? And it definitely better not be him. He shudders. No. He's fine.]

[ Shared experiences, Prompto, after a fashion. Not that he'll ever tell you. ]

Right. You're just peachy.

[ Again, he doesn't say it unkindly. He understands. Which is why he doesn't ask what happened. ]

Name's Shinjiro Aragaki. Gimme a call if you end up needin more of this shit.

[ A pause. ]

Or, I can get somebody who actually knows how to heal, but.

[ Leaves it at that - because the "but" would have been followed by "most people would fuss, and that's annoying as hell, I understand." ]

[He smiles a little bit, or at least tries to. There's a lot on his mind.]

Uh huh, right.

[He's playing along with his assessment.]

Thanks. For your help. I'm Prompto Argentum. I'll...let you know.

[He figures he'll be fine, a good sleep should take care of it. At the suggestion of bothering someone else, someone who would fuss over him, and likely it wasn't Ignis? He shakes his head adamantly.]

[ He nods, and then turns to leave.

No sense making the guy more uncomfortable by giving the impression some stranger might be lurking around his door, or something. He says over his shoulder - ]

- See y'round, Argentum.

[He smiles, as he leans against his door to watch Shinjiro exit. Maybe he's the type who would like company, but no. He's already making a terrible impression as it is, he's just not at his best.]

[He waits until Shinjiro is almost out of sight before closing the door.]
