The communicator was fascinating. She'd seen several things just like it before, only a year ago it seemed. Felt far longer but those thoughts were always pushed aside in favor of happier memories. Though at the moment her curiosity was getting the best of her.

"This is fascinating!" She turned the device over several times, smiling as she walked through the dark streets, her focus on the little contraption in her hands. Her days traveling the universe were done, but she had plans to travel her own world.

And it takes far more than a year to lose the sense of self preservation one must learn when traveling time and space.

So the sound of shuffling steps and gutteral groans are easily picked up. Aliens were one things, but zombies?

"Oh. Really? Not even an hour in and already- oh alright!" It's also good that she did not lose her ability to run in heels after only a yaer.

He can't stay cooped up all night in the Tardis - he needs to run and should really check up and see what is going on in Genessia with the monster outbreak there. Up -ahead he spots something moving rather sluggish. Zombies. Well - no screams so - expect there was - not a scream per say but a remark and - it's a voice that sounds familiar. No.

Well - she won't recognize him like this but sooner or later. She will find the Tardis. There's a howl. A warning to the zombies.

Come and chase him. Come on.

Her eyes widen at the howling and she moves to keep the zombies in her peripherals and still look up to see..a werewolf? A flash of annoyance runs through her head. nothing was impossible, but something could be just down right ridiculous.

Well, if Mr. Werewolf wants the attention, Sarah was very happy to give it to him.

She took another turn, looking up at the werewolf to make sure she was still heading that way (but not too close). The zombies seemed to be following her.

"Look! Get him!" She pointed up towards the werewolf.

Well - the zombies were warned and when Sarah looks in his direction, Ten finds himself looking a much younger Sarah Jane than he last saw and as much as Ten is glad to see her - on the other hand - thinks about that note that he left himself about not letting Rose get jealous and this feels like the position he was also put in before and Micky, sadly but it best; The Ms. and the Ex, every man's worst nightmare.

He's going to have to be very, very clear with Rose that he's not Sarah Jane's Doctor.

But cross that bridge when he needs too - meanwhile, he's got some zombies to tackle and tie up.

Sarah froze for a half a second in absolute confusion as the werewolf leapt at the zombies.

Now there was something she had actually never thought.

They could simply fight each other. She was going to take this moment and head towards whatever counted as safety in this city. Perhaps a building, but something with a way out. Monsters were always trickier than they appeared.

After handling the zombies, Ten goes and sniffs Sarah out - literally and follows her scent to a building and upon entering, "Sorry. So sorry for having had frightened you. I wasn't howling at you -"

She was leaning against the wall of an alcove, checking the heel of one of her shoes with a bit of a frown. Running was never good on foot wear and she had been rather fond of these heels.

She yelped at the sight of a fuzzy face, spinning around and pressing against the door. Instinct still strong she lobbed the shoe in her hand straight at the werewolf as her free hand moved to try and open the door.

"You get away from me! I've got another one of those!"

"ow!" Were! Ten shakes his head and stands his ground and continues to eye Sarah, "I'm not going to hurt you. Trust me."

He can't help but grin though on how resourceful she always was.

"Trust you?!" The door clicks but she hesitates. He had saved her from the zombies and hadn't tried to eat her or sharpen his claws on her.

Slowly her hand fell away from the door knob, eyeing him critically in the dim alcove. "You, saved me. On purpose?"

There's a simple, "Yes." As the were, with the tie, cuckoo hair and sandshoes sneakers with the tops torn out from the claws, only stands there - eyeing her - with those brown eyes.

"Hallo." A gives her a small finger wave with his claws.

She narrows her eyes for a moment. There was something in that greeting, well...more that there was something in that smile.

Carefully she moves forward and looks into his eyes. "You're...no, it can't be. I know you were nothing but curls but this?"

At least the remark about the, 'nothing but curls' doesn't help if it's Three or Four, "What can't be? Why can't it be?"

However, if she knows about him regenerating then that will tell him.

"Because last time I saw you, you weren't this," She reached up to tug gently at his whiskers, "Fuzzy. And I don't remember Timelord being able to go fuzzy either."

Ten smirks as Sarah tugs his whiskers. Oh, Sarah if only you knew - or if anyone knew - that he's more like 88 % Time Lord here. Though - himselves probably suspect it.

"You should see me in the morning." Take that as you will, Sarah.

"It's something that's going on here. In Nova, specifically. Changing the residents into creatures."

A pause, "If I got a really long scarf would that make this a little better?"

"No thank you. I've seen that quite enough." But she smiles warmly up at him, because of course he'd still tower slightly over her. Not as much as she was used to but, at least it was familiar.

Like the bit of light in his eyes that glinted just right when he was being cheeky.

"Hmm, not sure yet." Nova City? Something worth investigating it seemed. She tugs his whiskers again, "Might need to look in on that."

There's that goofy grin as she tugs his whiskers.

"Come on." Ten proceeds gently pick Sarah up and in a quick motion flings her onto his shoulders, turns around and proceeds to walk on all fours away from the building.

"Might want to hold on." Where is a good question maybe a patch of fur somewhere.

Her laugh is replaced by a yelp as she's suddenly clinging to his shoulders. "Hold on?' Her eyes widen as she figures out what he's going to do, "oh no! Don't you dare!" Still she's wrapping her arms around his shoulders and pressing her face against his neck. Because furry and fangy, this is still the Doctor and her complaints amounted to less than a hill of beans to him.

"Allons-y!" Which at the were! Doctor runs off to towards Nova City and grinning because he totally dared.

Sarah upon entering Nova City; will probably feel like she's stepped into the future and is on some crazy adventure with The Doctor, minus The Tardis. Flying cars, automate sidewalks and tall and slender and shiny buildings.

Were! Ten slows down as they enter and lets Sarah just look at everything, particularly with the night sky.

There's a moment to look at the back of his head in confusion and then they're moving. AT first her grip is rather tight and her eyes are closed. As he slows down she blinks and stares around them and smiles.

She'd seen her share of cities and towns that had looked just as this one did. With her Doctor and both his faces.

"Nova City." There is still that wonder in her eyes at every new thing she gazes at, her arms tightening a bit around his shoulders. "It's beautiful."
