When the feed clicked in it shows a very excited looking Koishi. Her hair had been pulled partially back and someone had given her hat a much longer ribbon and pinned roses and feathers in it. Her outfit was new too sporting long sleeves with oversized cuffs and a capelet that split into two and trailed down to her knees. This was combined with knee high boots that, by all accounts, her biology shouldn't be allowing her to wear without shenanigans, white gloves, a green skirt with a giant bow and some form of... wand? Even her third eye had a little ribbon tied onto the artery next to it.

Like some sort of... magical girl outfit?

"Hey! Everyone! Look! Look at this! I got a new outfit! I woke up with it and now I have it! Isn't it adorable?" She waved her arms, the wand scattering some glitter and lighting up. "I'm going to go fly around, okay? There will be so many sparkles!"

Oh no... The glitter...

[Action]

Practically all day, every day Koishi could be found floating around Fayren and Genessia alike, waving her wand, poking at people and making a huge mess ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE. It wasn't clear if her costume just came with an unlimited supply of glitter or she was actively re-filling the wand but anyone not paying attention or not being careful might find themselves more sparkly than when they started out that day. Oh no.

Rose is grey, stone-like, and very clearly a gargoyle, but still also clearly Rose with the bright blonde hair, and identical features except that her eyes are red and she's completely nocturnal.

"Super cute!" she chimes over the video phone, voice still darker and more gravely than normal, but at least still Rose.

Koishi stared at rose, blinking several times, tilting her head before again breaking out into a huge smile.

"Miss! You're all grey and red and glowy now! It's a good look for you. I like it!"

[bigbadrose]

A quiet laugh. "Gargoyle. Yeah?" A head tilt and a quiet hum. "I'm worried about it getting worse. Happened once before. My friends who went too far wouldn't be able to change back. But the Doctor saved me then, he'll save me now. I know he will."

[Liora wanders through Fayren, still shaking from her encounter with her fears in Attleton. She's so shaken by her fears that the costume she's wearing doesn't seem to bother her much, if at all. Suddenly, she spots some glitter falling from the sky up ahead, so she crawls cautiously towards it. Could this be a glitter of hope?]

Nope! Just glitter of mild annoyance. The glitter suddenly shifts, several silly sounds accompanying a rain of sparkles from up above, covering the little gold dragon in shiny pieces. It was accompanied by a giggle. It might take Liroa a moment or two to notice the youkai floating above her.

"Oh don't worry too much. It probably wont get worse maybe. This kind of thing happens all the time in this world. But I didn't go to nova so I'm still me. I'm already a monster so it's better if I let other people have a chance at being scary. It's a lot of fun!"

Liora holds out her talons to catch a few of the sparkles as they fall on and around her. She then looks up to see someone flying above her.

"Is this...are these your sparkles?"

[bigbadrose]

"You think?" A head tilt, "Yeah?" A laugh. "Well the costume looks cute anyway! Hopefully I'm not too scary. I scare enough people as a human as it is." Another laugh.

Luke would've liked not to have changed much, despite it being Halloween-time. In the morning, things hadn't seemed so different--until he couldn't touch the door. Or the keys to his flat. Or his coat, or his satchel, his notebook, or Suna--it wasn't till he tried to jostle the door in frustration that he realized he could go through it.

Was he transparent? That was preposterous. He's not transparent.

Off to the tea shop, and the same problem. No door, no keys. Can't manage the kettle, the tins, the china--nothing. It's just chance that he manages to look up and see the glitter collecting outside the still-closed and still-locked door of the shop.

He would open the door to query, but as he can't manage he just appears behind the glass, staring. He's white as a ghost, the epitome of irony, and swallows. Turning his head to look upwards, he does not realize that he's half-stuck his head through the glass door.

"...Koishi?"

"Nooo. You're not scary as a human. You're a human!" Koishi giggled again. "And thank you. I think the outfit is cute too! And I can make things sparkly!"

She waved the wand, the little plastic toy making sound effects and lighting up as it scattered more of the sparkly dust everywhere.

"Yes!" Koishi waved the wand again. "I woke up and I had a pretty outfit and a glitter wand!" She was all smiles, shaking her wand again and sprinkling more glitter on Liora.

Rose stuck her tongue out the side, "Humans are the scariest, don'cha know? Stronger, faster, and more vicious than anyone gives 'em credit for." As much as daleks could scare Rose, even the Doctor said the daleks were more dangerous than ever when they were able to hate themselves. Something gained from their humanity weeding. And Rose and the Doctor were both at their worsts when they had that self-hate too.

Still, she beams broadly at the glitter, "Ohhhh! Fantastic! Have you been sparkling lots of things?"

"Super scary! But not because they're strong or fast. Humans are clever and in big groups they can chase down any monster if they have farm tools and a mob mentality." Koishi sounded like she spoke from experience.

"Oh! Yes! I have been making everything and everyone sparkly! It's wonderful!" It's no doubt hell for everyone else, but at least Koishi was having fun.

Koishi just gasped. "Oh! A bear! A super duper cute bear!" If there wasn't a screen between them she'd absolutely be petting him right now.

Koishi... probably didn't recognize him. "You're from the outside too? You can write? I've never seen a bear that can write before!"

[Unlike Koishi, Den isn't happy with his costume for today. You can't blame him for wearing a trash can costume isn't the best one he can ever get for this Halloween. However, it does have a lot of disadvantages than looking stupid. In fact, walking around with gives him a lot of difficulties as he finds himself rolling through the sloped streets of Fayren as he, unfortunately, heads over to the yokai.]

Rose frowned gently at that. "Have you been chased by mobs, Koishi?" She didn't ask it angrily or accusingly, just seriously. Like it was a perfectly normal question to ask.

And she grins about glitter-ing everyone. "I bet!" a laugh. "If you see my Bowtie or Grumpy eyebrows doctors, be sure and glitter 'em for me, yeah? They'll love it." No they won't, but don't let that stop you.

"It was centuries ago back when I was more feral. I kind of deserved it, really." Her expression didn't really change, still bright and cheerful. I knew better. Humans defend each other Especially near their homes. Sis saved me though so I'm fine now. Make sure you're never chased by a mob, okay Miss Roses? Farm tools hurt a lot."

"Oh! Right! Mister Doctor should get lots of sparkles too!" At least she wasn't saying 'Mister THE Doctor' anymore. "I can't wait to make them smile with sparkly shiny dust!"

[bigbadrose]

"No one deserves that Koishi. Just because people are scared doesn't mean they can't do better."

She beamed about the glitter thought. "That'll be perfect! Hey, do you want a job working for my company? Well, mine and Jack's. Didja get a chance to meet Jack yet? He's psychic, so I don't need a psychic officer per se, but I was thinkin' maybe I should set up in the Everglades instead, and I could use someone to act as liaison, if ye like!"

"Well satori youkai DO eat people, you know. We will die without some human flesh in our diet. Sis and I don't hunt anymore though because it helps keep the angry mobs from attacking us." She wasn't about to rat out the morgue though, so she stopped there.

"Oh!" Koishi was getting more excited now. "I like jobs! They've all been fun so far!" She was so excited. "Yeah! I met everyone I think. And Everglade is a great place to be. It's fun!" Koishi had no idea what she would be doing job wise. But the idea of it sounded like a lot of fun.

"Really?" A squeak. Well, that might be why the people overreacted, but it still wasn't right in Rose's book. All humans were predators and dangerous, they should have at least made sure Koishi even wanted to eat them first.

"Yeah? What other ones have you done?" Rose laughed cheerfully despite the casual announcement that Koishi and Satori would die if they didn't eat humans. Yolo?

"Yeah, really. I mean technically we feed on human fear and significance. Emotion that clings to flesh. Sis got really good at feeding on it without actually needing to eat but my nature makes that hard."

"Oh!" She waved her hands. "I'm Miss Satsuki's assistant and she's really important. She's been a guardian and deputy guardian and protects people from monsters. And I've protected people from monsters. And sometimes Mister Fins calls me in and we stop people that are hurting other people. I'm good at that because no one can see me and I'm really strong."

[bigbadrose]

"Oh! That makes a lot of sense!" It says a lot about Rose that this made it easier for her to understand.... "Do you know if there's species that can do it without the flesh part? Because I know there was these microbes on a planet that fed on left-side brainwaves and created a... feedback loop, I think the Doctor called it." Nod nod.

"That makes sense. Okay! We can incorporate all of that. You can be a field agent like me and Jack and Martha."

[koishi_komeiji]

"I don't think we can completely survive on immaterial. Sis got pretty good at it but I'm not feared enough to eat like sis. And it's even harder here so we're back to eating like normal." Though normal in this case was subjective.

Koishi's eyes absolutely lit up. "Field agent? That sounds interesting and important! I would love to do that! Do I get to chase things? I like chasing things!" Simple pleasures.

Satsuki had been having a long, annoying day. She was seated and almost done wrapping up her work in her office when she noticed a trail of glitter appear from the open window to her desk. The grip on her pen tightens to the point of snapping it as her brow twitches.

"... Koishi."

As for Satsuki herself, she's appeared different herself as there is a set of brown grizzly ears atop her head, and an unseen tail beneath her skirt. Whatever curse she's suffered has had an effect on her ability to keep her cool. Don't make her angry, Koishi. You won't like her when she's angry.
