[Video/Action?] - backdated to October 16th

[Demyx looks the same as always, except for something pretty interesting happening as he's suddenly sprouted wings from behind.]

So hey, I took a trip to Nova City. It's kinda cool, cause I can hover now!

[He's hovering, it just can't be seen since the phone is pointed at his face.]

Uh, but it didn't stop when I left, so yeah, I guess I have wings now?

[Oh well, probably not something to worry about.]

[Action]

[Demyx is now hovering around Genessia proper, because hovering is fun, even if it's only a few inches off the ground. He doesn't exactly have his sitar though since he can't summon it, but that's a small detail. Seems like he wandered into Nova City and got changed into a fairy, although he didn't get any smaller than he already normally is.]

[ There was a joke there, but it wasn't one Shinjiro was going to make.

His look of caution was replaced slowly, however, with one of curiosity. The powers were kind of cool, at least. ]

Just hover? D'you think you can fly, if y'get enough practice?

I think so, maybe. [He nods a bit.] Don't fairies fly usually? It's kind of weird though, have to get the hang of my wings.

Cassian told me I don't have a tail. [So there's that.] And not to go in any doors.

[ Just one of Minato's Personae. Some healing little thing that he barely even used anymore. Really, Demyx looked pretty normal compared to that thing. (Like most things did, verses Persona.)

Sighs. ]

He probably meant, you shouldn't run 'em into doors.

... You could practice flyin at that Holodeck'd place, I'd think.

I don't think I have either, so that means it's extra cool!

[He's seen a lot of weird things in his life.]

He said something about those revolving doors and getting caught in them would hurt.

[He tilts his head.]

Holodeck place? What's that?

[ Winces. Yeah, he could only imagine. ]

Might wanna be careful 'round those, then.

It's a place in Nova City. Dunno how it works, really, 'cept it creates monsters and places to fight in that isn't real. It looks real, and they seem to fight like real things, but you can't actually get hurt.

So, I figure, it could create fake buildings for you to fly between, and if you fall ...

[ He didn't like the mental image of Demyx trying to leap off a building, not really knowing how to fly, and crashing onto the ground below. ]

Yeah it sounds painful. He said he has wings too right now. [He's seen weirder stuff.]

Really? I've never heard about it. Do you want to come and fly?

[If it can make anything, Shinjiro could fly too, right? Flying is by far the coolest thing that comes with the wings.]

Yeah, he's some kinda incubus. Or somethin.

[ Shrugs again.

... He hadn't thought about using the Holodeck'd that way. There's a small, wistful expression on his face, before Shinjiro hides it. It wasn't a good idea. ]

Think if I go to Nova City, I'm gonna turn into somethin too, don'tcha think?

What's an incubus?

[That's not a creature he's familiar with, at least, he's never seen one before Cassian.]

Is that what happened? I guess it is. You don't want any new cool powers? It could be fun! You could be a fairy with me!

[ A sex demon, but suddenly, the words "sex demon" are kind of the last thing he wants to explain to Demyx.

Would he need to explain it to Demyx?

Scowls: ] Yeah, but I might turn into somethin a lot less fun.

[Maybe, that's roughly his reference for demons and things of that nature.]

Think he's met Hades? He's kind of a dick.

[He pouts a little bit.]

You think this is lucky? It's not that lucky, but I guess so. Okay then maybe you shouldn't go there.

Uh. Less evil, I think, 'cause the guys who have turned into 'em don't seem to be that bad. But, otherwise, I guess?

[ Blinks. ]

Unless you've met some kinda king of the fairies, I don't think Cassian's met Hades.

[ Sighs. Getting transformed into something against your will was pretty shitty, but he thought that being a full-sized fairy was better than a lot of other alternatives. ]

Some people here turned into real tiny fairy things. Least you're full-sized.

I thought demons were supposed to be evil.

[Not that he has a problem with that.]

I didn't mean the king of fairies. Is there a king of fairies? I bet there is and a princess. Everywhere has a princess!

[He pouts a little bit.]

That would be awful. I'm not that big as it is.

[He grumbles, stupid giants he works with.]

Lucky for us both, these transformations just add abilities and wings, instead of. I dunno. Changin your personality or something.

[ He shrugs, again. If he knew anything about the Persona that Minato summoned, he might quip about Oberon, but he really had no idea. ]

Sure, a princess, why not.

[ Smirks ]

I don't know about that, I guess. I just can't summon my sitar.

[That's not so good, and he's not that pleased about it, but he'll endure it for the time being.]

Well not really I guess, but everyone I know is so much bigger than me!

[ Yeah, that sucked. But: ] Least you got new powers to make up for it, I guess.

[ Still, he frowned. Yet another reason not to go to Nova City until this was all over, he guessed.

Eyebrow: ] Every world?

Yeah, I guess so!

[He's hovering a bit, kicking his feet in the air idly.]

Pretty much every world, yeah. Doesn't your world have a princess?

Uh.

Maybe there are some, monarchies or somethin, in other countries. So, probably more than one, sure.

[ He's not really sure if that's what Demyx means, though. ]

Other countries? What do you mean?

[It isn't, and the idea of a world being that big is beyond the scope of his imagination.]

[ Whereas, a world as small as Demyx was used to? He wouldn't have thought that's what the guy meant, by "worlds". ]

I mean ... other countries.

Like, I'm from Japan, and cross the ocean one way is Korea, and China, and Russia. And in the other direction, Australia, and the other, the United States.

[ Aaaand that pretty much almost exhausted his geographical knowledge. England and Europe were out there somewhere, right? And India? He knew generally where they all were. What did you want from him, he dropped out of school. ]

There are, I dunno. A hundred or so countries out there, maybe. On my world, anyway.

A h-hundred? That sounds like a ton! How would you know? How will you see them all?

[He's totally amazed, because it sounds really really huge.]

Some people travel all their lives, just to do that.

I've never been outside of Japan. Or, much outside of Iwatodai, for that matter.

[ Casual shrug. ]

Traveling is like the best part of the best thing you can do!

[He has a fair amount of wanderlust lately, although he's obviously unfeeling about the whole thing, expressed with bright eyes and excitement laced in his voice.]

You could go anywhere! See everything!

Y'mean, aside from the fact that it's expensive as hell?

[ He doesn't say this unkindly. Just matter-of-fact. After all not everyone's ... job ... of a super evil world-ending organization ... helped you travel to other realities on a regular basis. ]

Here I've got a job, a bit of cash, but there ain't many places to go in Genessia, really.

I didn't think that mattered.

[He didn't think much about that, honestly, but he probably didn't really get a lesson on how money worked until he got there.]

Even when I was a kid we moved around a lot. [For different reasons, but he knew that they didn't have money then.]

I noticed that. That part is...kinda boring.

Yeah, well. Not everyone works for people who can easily send you 'round to other worlds, just like that.

[ But, he nods. ] Your family sounded like they were good people.

[ Then, he shrugs again, dismissive. ]

Pretty sure this place keeps things plenty interestin enough, all on its own, even if we can't go nowhere.
