[Liora's been thinking about the various parties she's been to since she's been here. Despite there being plenty of food laid out and catered to the guests, she always found herself spending most of her time at the parties scrambling to find something to eat. She can't help it if she can't digest all this human food. This Halloween party seemed to be the worst, as there were some dishes that looked like they had bugs on them, but were not actually bugs at all. And Liora can still taste the animatronic spider that she had tried to eat on the stage...]

I've been to a lot of parties and gatherings in Genessia since I've been here, and there's always a lot of food. But I can't digest that kind of food. I always have to dig around for it...which is fine and normal when I'm out in the wild, but I don't want to spend all my time at the parties hunting for food. The Halloween party had eggs that looked like they had spiders on them, but the spiders weren't even real.

[Needless to say, she was quite disappointed.]

So...I don't know what to do. I don't know if I should go to these parties anymore...

That's probably something you should contact the party planner with in advance, especially if you're the only one who'd eat certain things. Gale's a cool guy, he would have set up something if he'd known beforehand. I think we had to special order some stuff for Garrus, he had similar issues with human food.

So just give people a head's up if you need something special!

Gale, Yang and everyone else worked really hard on that party to make it something everyone could enjoy, and instead of talking to them privately to ask them for food you want next time, you made a public post that's basically a thankless slap to their faces for how hard they worked. If you wanna pretend that they ruined parties for you on account of not being psychic, go ahead. Don't go.

[Yang's intervening. Jaune might have said it WAY more directly, but he had the same point Yang was trying to state, and she'd be a crappy friend if she let him get insulted just for sticking up for her and Gale.]

Jaune's not a wicked beast, he's right. I mean, he definitely could have said it better, but Gale put in a lot of time and effort for that party, and dished out a lot of money too. Not just paying for the food and decorations, but closing down the club for two nights, losing any money he might have made otherwise. He didn't get anything for it in return. And it was a blast, that party rocked! It would have been a lot nicer to at least thank him first for putting on a party, and then ask if he'd help you out with your diet.

[She sighs, tipping her head forward with her hands on her hips.]

I know it can be frustrating, especially if what you need isn't the norm. But let's figure out some other solutions. You can eat before the party, or bring something with you if you don't want to put someone out. Or if you don't want to worry about it, offer to chip in whatever it would cost to get something imported.

Or you could bring your own food to parties! Or tell people what you can eat. That way you can still enjoy them and be around people.

When you know the person hosting the party, you should just tell them what you'd like to eat. And when you don't, tell them you can only eat a certain kind of food and that you'll bring it yourself. That way, no one will feel uncomfortable.

For Faes, metabolism is...pretty quick. It seems I can't go long without snacking, especially if I'm active.

But if I brought my own snack...I don't know...it'd just seem rude.

[Honestly Gale was fairly appreciative of Jaune's defense. Not so much for himself but for all the extra time and help his lady friends put in so Gale had more time to get other things together. They couldn't be expected to know everyone's diets- hell, he barely found out about Garrus' in time. Not that Gale's upset about this, but there was very slight annoyance that she didn't come to him directly.]

You should've let me know beforehand so I could've arranged something for you. I already had to special order some items for one of Nova's Guardians, an extra minor order wouldn't have been a big deal.

But I'll keep it in mind for next time.

The insects don't have to be alive...of course live ones are better, but they'd just go out of control around other kinds of food, so I can make do with dead ones...

I'm sure I can figure somethin' out to keep live ones sealed without any issues for next time. No idea when next time will be, so I got the time to think of something.

Don't be afraid to reach out to party hosts, yeah? Nine times outta ten they'd be happy to accommodate so more guests can enjoy themselves.

I'm sorry you've been finding it hard. This place isn't always well-suited to special dietary needs. A good friend of mine can't eat human food either, it makes it difficult to spontaneously go for a drink. I don't think I'll be giving parties anytime soon, but just in case. What do dragons eat?

Well...it's not hard, really. But it might be harder for the larger dragons to get enough.

[Sometimes she wonders how Qubine gets by, and whether he's getting enough to eat.]

As for what we eat, different breeds eat different things. Where I come from, dragons can eat meat, fish, plants, or insects. Some dragons can eat any of those, while others are more...restricted in their diets. I can't digest anything other than insects myself...

Do you have a preference for certain kinds of insects? I'll have to admit I wouldn't know which shop in Attleton carries them, but I'll look into it.

I don't have a preference...I'll eat any kind of insect. Although...I do prefer live ones, but dead ones are fine also.
