Twenty-Sixth Reel: Charity Event! One Day Only!

Where: Genessia City Park--> Changed to Genessia Library, Outside Nova City Museum, Outside Attleton University, Outside the Everglade Sheriff Station, and The Singing Meadows in Fayren --> Changed to Juliet's Lair in Fayren
When: November 5th
Warnings: Good Hearted Intentions!! A-Actually, there's a thunderstorm in Genessia, and it's pouring in Fayren! So the venues have changed! Please adjust accordingly! Especially for the last venue. It's a lingerie shop.


The weather for most cities is pleasant enough to sell baked goods outside, while a couple of other cities have to make due. Either way, the charity event must endure and collect money for every charity! At each location, fresh, warm delicacies are waiting to be sold, kept under a halogen lamp for optimum warmth. While the treats are for sale, warm beverages are not! Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and warm milk will be served, but don't expect anything fancy! They're already premade and stored in thermal containers. 

The magic show is sure to please audiences of all ages! A good magic fight without the unnecessary collateral damage! The auction will showcase items being offered for sale, as well as services from other residents. Need a new lamp? Need a home decorator? Then the auction is the place to probably find what you want!

Other events are available, as last minute entries are more than welcome! But remember: it's for charity! Anyone caught being naughty will have to deal with Grell.

[Belle sets up in the library after promising to help. She's made a few different sweets and sets to sell them to those walking through. She also reminds people to keep anything sticky or with icing away from the books. It won't do well to damage them after the library has been kind enough to lend their space.

She isn't there all day since she has another place to be but she's true to her word to help out while she can.]

[ She's the one who tells everyone else she knows to keep food away from books, gosh. Though Belle probably doesn't know that so it's not like she could've known.

I'm glad that you respect books as much as I do. [She's been telling people all day to be careful. The library has been nice enough to host them and they shouldn't disrespect that kindness.]

[Mey-Rin is about helping out the vendors to sell their bake goods. She can be seen behind the tables happily and yes, still in her uniform and doesn't mind at all. Because she enjoys helping out, there will be less casualties from her clumsiness.

If not.... well, there maybe a poor unfortunate soul who will have to think fast to save a brownie tossed in the air with the sound of a flailing maid.]

Attleton - Seller

[Even with the mess that his life turned into recently, Mobius still managed to do his part to bake for charity. He baked various kinds of treats, including sweet options as well as savory items like pizza muffins, and there are a few fruit items as well... except peach. There is nothing fruity that has peach. Because peach is the devil.

There's also a couple bags of baked treats specifically made for Pokemon. Your PokeFriends deserve treats too. Which is why Mobius has Noibat with him to advertise those.

Mobius has a slightly heavier jacket than usual since the weather was a little on the chilly side, and Noibat has a cute little scarf. The plus side to him being here is that means a deputy is on hand to be able to keep the peace if necessary. Don't you dare start trouble at a charity sale, you monster.]

Attleton - Seller

[ Having missed her chance to celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival here, Ayame figured this would be a great opportunity for her to make moon cakes. Unfortunately, due to being pressed for time, she was only able to make moon cakes. But there are different types of Cantonese-styled moon cakes, and in great numbers: lotus seed paste, red bean, jujube, five kernel, mung bean, and taro paste are the main options, with the choice to have ones with a salted egg yolk in the middle for the lotus seed and red bean paste filled cakes. Other options include pineapple, durian, chocolate, and even ice cream and coffee.

Dressed in what she deemed fitting for a college campus, Ayame can be found at the courtyards of Attleton University ]

[ Everyone's taking their sweet time in Genessia itself and Attleton, but someone had to man Everglade. Who better to run the Everglade department than Konoka herself? She's got a stand that consists largely of chocolate chip cookies... with oatmeal raisin and plain sugar cookies too. Oh, and a devil's chocolate cake, on the off chance she can give Dracula cavities.

Aside from that, the desk that she has her baking goods laid out on also sports a banner of her business, "Mahora Fortune and Onmyoudo" written in neat, flowing letters. To that effect, she even has a little chibi doll of herself that hands out cookies to purchasers! ]

Auction Hostile Takeover NOW IT IS A MINI DATE AUCTION

[This auction is the pits. Who's going to want to buy some rusty old antiques? Or someone to mow their lawns when most people live in apartments? Minako is here with some spending cash, ready to pitch in for charity, but so far the only item she's only remotely interested in is a ship in a bottle, and she has no idea what she'd even do with such a thing.]

[She SIGHS dramatically. She was hoping there would be a date auction, but no such luck.]

[And that's when it hits her: Why not make her own luck?]

[Why not indeed.]

[Because it would be pretty rude to just take over someone else's event, she tells herself. But it would also be pretty rude to NOT raise money for charity, she counters immediately. If it's for a good cause, they can't be too mad at her. Even so, she probably shouldn't take up too much time before she gets in trouble.]

[So she strikes out, hunting down good-looking single people, whispering to them if they'd like to volunteer to help out with the charity auction, they don't have to do anything but smile, no donations necessary, just volunteer, please, it'll be fun she promises.]

[And that's how Minako winds up yanking the cord of the microphone right out of the surprised auctioneer's hands, as she storms on stage and flings one arm to the sky.]

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! I have a surprise event for you: Genessia City's very first date auction!

[It's probably not the first. She didn't have time to do her research.]

Will our first contestant step right up and face the crowd, let them see what a true prize you are!

[Chiaki figured since it was for charity, why not do something as she slowly raised her hand. It was another moment before she slowly made her way out, awkwardly turning to face the audience and nervously waved. She figured she might as well see what happens. Nothing bad can happen.]

[The first one is always the hardest, especially since people had no idea a date auction was going to happen until just thirty seconds ago. So Minako decides to help things along, throwing her hand out toward her co-worker.]

[ Shinjiro has absolutely no idea what he’s getting into. He was just (anonymously) dropping off some treats he made for the bake sale, and he was going to quietly slink away before Minako cornered him.

But. This was raising money for the orphanage and homeless shelter. He’d be a pretty huge, hypocritical jerk to say no to that.

He should have already known: never say “yes” to an offer for volunteers before you know what the job entails. ]

[Scott honest to god has no idea what is going on. He decided to visit the Charity even to help out and because it was the sort of events he enjoyed. And then suddenly Shinjiro is on a stage with people bidding for him. To say that was unexpected is an understatement.

His eyebrows drawn together and Scott's not sure why this bothers him so much. Sure, it's only for charity and Shinjiro and him are just friends....and yet Scott finds himself raising his hand slightly to place a bid. He's only doing this because of the other teen look uncomfortable, Scott wants to help. That's all.]

[Honestly. Gwen never really kept enough money on her to bid on anything at the auction. She had just popped by long enough to check out what was going and bail.

That's when Minako swooped down on her like a hawk. Help out for charity? Yeah. She could do that. Easy enough.

It was far too late to run by the time she realized just HOW she would be helping out for this event.

She couldn't just run. It was for charity. Her dad might not be here but the memory of his disapproving glare was still clear in her mind.

Don't mind her. Just going to stand up here about as stiff and awkward as she can. This is why MJ was always the face of their group.]

[Maribelle makes her way on stage rather awkwardly because she's never heard of a date auction before. Hearing the young woman ask if she was single should have been a good clue as to what she was in for, but she had not been expecting to be auctioned off like some piece of merchandise.]

[ Goodness. He's glad he managed to stay out of this, with the way everyone on stage seemed to be totally blindsided. How unfortunate, really, but they were the ones who had stumbled into that mess. Besides, it's for charity! They should take some comfort in that.

One of them, at least, carries herself with a level of posture and dignity that he recognizes as well-dignified. He hasn't bumped elbows with every single influential person in this world yet, and she certainly carries herself as one. It might be to his advantage to get on her good side. ]

[Which...might be true? Yang doesn't know, she's never tried it. But she'll definitely throw in a little pitch to boost bids for Alice, she likes her. And if she wins, well...maybe she'll ask for her help to make a really nice dinner for Mercury or Weiss, depending on who seems to be in need of a special night. She throws her hand into the air.]

[Erza had been trying to figure out how she could take part in the auctions - she had plenty of outfits and sets of armour that didn't fit her any more, so maybe she could clear out space in her inventory and raise money for charity at the same time!

She wasn't sure who to ask about setting up a booth or finding space to show off her wares, but she noticed that people were working their way onto the stage one at a time. Maybe she was supposed to show off what she had for sale there?

It seemed unusual, but then again, she had never been to an auction before - maybe that's just how they handle these situations. Exquipping into a breastplate that she had been meaning to sell for a while now (it had gotten a bit too tight for her tastes), she stepped onto the stage when it seemed like there was an opening.

...Only for her stage fright to hit her like a ton of bricks. Hoping to focus on anything but the crowd, she turns to show off the armour from a variety of angles. Once that's done, she'll switch to a pink tutu with a swan head sticking out of the skirt. Sure, it was a gift from Natsu, but he'd be glad that it's being used to raise money for charity, right?

[Someone asked him if he wouldn't mind helping, and he agreed because honestly, who doesn't want to help orphans? He's holding his camera, and he figured hey, that's probably what they want.

He isn't expecting to be nudged on stage and offered up for a date.

His cheeks burn red and he shifts awkwardly, reminded of all those times he had to get up and speak in school.

He never did like everyone watching him, but it's for a good cause, right?]
