It depends greatly on the manner and depth of their betrayal, as well as their motivation. There are certain things that are unforgivable, while others may be granted leniency.
The former, heh, would prompt a reevaluation of said friendship, if they
felt so black towards one. If they were pushed into it and held at
metaphorical gunpoint, well, charity would be warranted. The latter depends
on what the ideal was. If I became a crank or engaged in a bit of folly,
and their "betrayal" was tantamount to a stab of sanity, it'd be hard to
hold much against them for acting in one's best moral interests.
In every case, however, forgiveness is a mandatory remedy should they
honestly wish it.
[Oh, hello, you look like a proper alien, for a change! ...although the question does put a bit of a damper on his enthusiasm.]
S'pose it depends what you mean by "betrayed your trust," and what you mean by "friend."
[After all, he has friends whose totally unexpected betrayal he'd probably consider a metric of how badly they need his help, and he has friends who've super predictably tried to murder him more times than he can count. You really can't put them both in the same bin.]
Although I'm guessing you mean "friend" a bit loosely. ..you didn't say "with," you said "to," so, sounds to me you've already decided they're... expendable.
[There might just be a hint of "therefore I'll be keeping an eye on you" in there, but then again, the video's not exactly locked to keep out law enforcement personnel, so egregious revenge would be pretty ill-advised anyway.]
Unless you're not that stupid and are just passive-aggressively calling him out on the phone in which case, there's probably a good reason he did whatever he did.

[He offers a nervous little smile, but it's an easy answer. Keeping his friend is more important than some hurt feelings.]

As for what they did, they impersonated me by using my name and reputation then got the law after me for their crimes.

If they were really your friend, they've got to have a good reason, right?
