But we could probably make curry with just a microwave, right? It can't be that hard.

Yeah! I mean, there's lots of stuff in the store with microwave instructions written on the label! If you shouldn't make them that way, then they wouldn't tell you how!

Makes sense to me! Sounds like I've got a plan! To the grocery store!

[One day and one savagely destroyed microwave later...no one told her that curry doesn't need to simmer for half an hour in a MICROWAVE...Minako signs back in with a heavy sigh.]

I guess I'll just have to rent an apartment early. No one else has a kitchen I can use, so I'll just get my own.

Right, that's what I think too! This'll be a breeze if I practice!

[She flexes an arm and winks.]

Curry is one of my favorite dishes, so I'm going to practice mastering that one. Then I can cook and eat it whenever I want afterward!

Well you certainly won't have any problem staying determined. I've had curry before, maybe practice with just cooking the chicken? So it doesn't burn once everything else gets put on.

Oh yeah, that's a good idea. I wonder if I'll have to learn how to cook a whole chicken?

[The sad part is that a lot of chickens will probably die for the sake of Minako's misadventures. On the plus side the chicken just shows up at the store already like that, so...they don't really die. But it'll still be a huge waste.]

Sure it is, if you're only learning to cook one dish. Who takes more than ten days to pick up a new recipe? That's crazy.

Oh, I don't really know, I've never made curry before. But I have made porridge!

I...did. I...I wasn't sure if I wanted to sign up or not. My wife has always said my cooking and baking skills would help me should I ever decide to leave the precinct.

Sadly my brother was the cook of the family.

I at least know how to cook a little bit myself, but... Not as well as him. Also, ten days seems a little... short of a time in which to do something unless it's really easy.

Whether I win or not, at least I'll be able to cook at least one dish for myself now that I'm living on my own. Do you do much cooking?

That's a good goal to at least have. I mean being here seems like we have to, to an extent look after ourselves no matter the age. As for how much cooking I do. I don't do anything really good, but I am at least decent since I've had to cook for myself if my mother was busy at work and there until late or something.

It looks like you're going to do curry... I shouldn't do this, but I should caution you as a judge, I won top score in highly competitive festival competitions above even the spices specialist for my curry.

[ Basically you just picked hard mode if you're going for that, girl.. It's public though, so everyone has equal access to that information so it's not cheating. ]
