[Now here is a face that has been quiet for quick a while. Costume changes and monsters aside, he'd been busy reacquainting himself with the forge. Much as the sea called to him, it was wonderful to be able to lose himself in the metal and fire.

Behind him is a wall of swords. He won't make a mention of them, but even an untrained eye can tell the high level of craftsmanship.

Will himself is smiling softly at the camera. Happy that he remembered how to go about turning the thing on.]

I've found a forge and a room after my arrival. Fayren is not Port Royal, nor is it the Pearl but...it is accepting. So I find myself growing rather fond of it.

[He pauses to wipe some sweat from his forehead as he tosses something with practiced care into a bucket of water. The steam hides his image for a moment before it clears.]

If there is anyone in the city who needs anything made, I...am certain in my talents once again. So long as it is metal work, or even wood, I will try my best to meet standards.

Ichabod however doesn't have the excuse of 'I'm busy with work.' It's the one he uses, but it's a lie. He just really hates talking to literally everyone.

Do you have experience in repairing thinner, fine metals, Mister Turner?

Mr. Crane? Ah, yes I can. I've had reason lately to work with gold and silver.

[Reason, not chance, as it's rather hard to have a full forge on a ship. But a small melting pot and molds? Yes.]

I've managed to damage something very precious to me during an... incident with a tool at work.

[Electric circular bone saws! Only fun to use when you know how to use them. He's really lucky he didn't lose a body part.]

I was wondering if you'd be capable of fixing it? A gold ring?

I have good experience with gold.

[A ring shouldn't be too much of a problem. He'd simply need to make a mold but that shouldn't take more than a day or two.]

May I see how damaged it is? I may not need to make a mold for it.

Of course.

[And with that, Ichabod withdrew the ring in question. It looked like that ring had been the only thing between having a ring finger, and having a really embarrassing, horrifying story to tell to kids later. The items band was neatly severed.]

I hadn't imagined the saw was that sharp.

[Will's eyes widen a bit.]

[It was a neat cut, fortunately, but the fact that it hadn't neatly cut through Ichabod's finger.]

You must be fortunate, Mr. Crane. But that is rather simple to fix. If you wish to come by the smithee, I can fix it within the hour.

Man, that's some nice work.

[And she's actually admiring the blades, not the dude. She studies them for a moment, then turns her attention back to Will.]

I almost hate to ask, because what I'm looking for is...not supposed to be nice work. In fact, the gaudier, the better. You might have fun with it! But let me know if that's not your thing.

[Mirajane was a bit shocked to see someone with such skill on the network, and that they worked in a profession so near and dear to someone very special in her life. She was almost in a state of shock, but once it wore off Will might have a very enthusiastic customer.]

Well, a...while ago I jokingly told my boyfriend I'd bring him back one of those really gaudy daggers they sell in Fayren as a souvenir, right? I don't think he was seriously expecting me to bring one back, and it slipped my mind completely. But we like our inside jokes, so I was thinking maybe I'd commission something for him to just...

Oh my goodness! A blacksmith in Genessia! I wasn't sure if I'd be able to find anyone, never mind someone of your skill... but just look at those swords!

[Mirajane clears her throat, trying not to get too excited... but she'd been keeping her eyes out for a smithy and hadn't found one of any noteworthy... worth.]

Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Mirajane Strauss, the bartender of Fayren's primary mage, guild Fairy Tail.

But I changed my mind, now that I'm talking about it out loud. I mean, gaudy is still good, but the weapon itself should be decent quality, just in case he ever needs it in a pinch. So could you make a dagger with a dragon on it somewhere?

[Will bites his lip a moment.]

I am not certain myself, but so far as I am aware? It is not entirely a horrible notion.

[He gives him the directions to Fawn's Forge.]

The sign may say closed but, the forge rarely is.

[Because the smoke and ash clear his head, and the burning heat keeps his heart from clenching to hard at times.]

[As shortly as he can be, but it's not an extreme amount of time before Ichabod does show up, money in pocket and ring in hand. Sign said closed, but hey, Will said it didn't matter, right?

Two uncertain knocks at the door, because he's not rude]

Mister Turner?

[He smiles lightly as her story starts. He did understand that sort of thing. The private video confuses him, mainly as he had no idea that was possible.]

I can make a dagger easily, Miss. The dragon will only require a bit of design on my part. Is there a specific style? I've learned of dragons from the orient and from the British Isle. Ad I've been told the ones from the land of the Aztecs were rather fierce as well.

Uhm, y-yes. T-thank you. A craftsman always appreciates, ahem, his work being complimented.

[He tries to will the blush from his cheeks. It seemed he would need to be used to forward compliments from strangers if his good were worthwhile.]

[Maybe she'll give him a short lesson when she drops by to pay for the weapon or something. Either way, she perks right up when he says it's doable.]

[She's not familiar with the 'orient' or 'British Isles' though. She holds up her two index fingers, one made of metal, as if she were measuring out something long.]

I was surprised as well. The only dragon I had known of was the one slain by Saint George.

[Long ones with manes. That ruled out the ones he was most familiar with. Oh! But the man in the bath tub, before he's knocked Will out, had one with a mane. So he nods.]

Yes, those are the oriental ones if I am not mistaken. I can do that, quite simply actually. But if I can procure some paper and a pen, I will send you a drawing of the design first.

[Will nods, fumbling a bit to turn off his own contraption. Once it is he sets back to making nails and hinges. Simple things but used far more often than daggers or swords.

The knocks startle him back to thought and he quickly hurries to open the door. He smiles warmly and invites the man in.]

[He's a bit stiff, in all honesty. Ichabod pretty much holds himself like someone who might actually have a steel rod instead of a backbone.

There's absolutely no denying the immediate fascination that darts across his face as he obliges and goes in though.
