⚔ 002 ⚔ Video ⚔
[Now here is a face that has been quiet for quick a while. Costume changes and monsters aside, he'd been busy reacquainting himself with the forge. Much as the sea called to him, it was wonderful to be able to lose himself in the metal and fire.
Behind him is a wall of swords. He won't make a mention of them, but even an untrained eye can tell the high level of craftsmanship.
Will himself is smiling softly at the camera. Happy that he remembered how to go about turning the thing on.]
I've found a forge and a room after my arrival. Fayren is not Port Royal, nor is it the Pearl but...it is accepting. So I find myself growing rather fond of it.
[He pauses to wipe some sweat from his forehead as he tosses something with practiced care into a bucket of water. The steam hides his image for a moment before it clears.]
If there is anyone in the city who needs anything made, I...am certain in my talents once again. So long as it is metal work, or even wood, I will try my best to meet standards.

Ichabod however doesn't have the excuse of 'I'm busy with work.' It's the one he uses, but it's a lie. He just really hates talking to literally everyone.
Will, however-]
Do you have experience in repairing thinner, fine metals, Mister Turner?
Re: video
[Reason, not chance, as it's rather hard to have a full forge on a ship. But a small melting pot and molds? Yes.]
How may I help you, sir?
Re: video
[Electric circular bone saws! Only fun to use when you know how to use them. He's really lucky he didn't lose a body part.]
I was wondering if you'd be capable of fixing it? A gold ring?
Re: video
[A ring shouldn't be too much of a problem. He'd simply need to make a mold but that shouldn't take more than a day or two.]
May I see how damaged it is? I may not need to make a mold for it.

[And she's actually admiring the blades, not the dude. She studies them for a moment, then turns her attention back to Will.]
I almost hate to ask, because what I'm looking for is...not supposed to be nice work. In fact, the gaudier, the better. You might have fun with it! But let me know if that's not your thing.
Re: [Video]
[Uhm, light blush there. Still not used to praise for his work.]
Gaudy, Miss? Well I am rather willing to try my skills at anything. What is it you have in mind?
Well, a...while ago I jokingly told my boyfriend I'd bring him back one of those really gaudy daggers they sell in Fayren as a souvenir, right? I don't think he was seriously expecting me to bring one back, and it slipped my mind completely. But we like our inside jokes, so I was thinking maybe I'd commission something for him to just...
[She trails off.]
[And sighs.]
Hold on.
[She switches to a private feed. Just in case.]
[Private Video - 2/2]
But I changed my mind, now that I'm talking about it out loud. I mean, gaudy is still good, but the weapon itself should be decent quality, just in case he ever needs it in a pinch. So could you make a dagger with a dragon on it somewhere?
Re: [Private Video]
I can make a dagger easily, Miss. The dragon will only require a bit of design on my part. Is there a specific style? I've learned of dragons from the orient and from the British Isle. Ad I've been told the ones from the land of the Aztecs were rather fierce as well.

[Mirajane was a bit shocked to see someone with such skill on the network, and that they worked in a profession so near and dear to someone very special in her life. She was almost in a state of shock, but once it wore off Will might have a very enthusiastic customer.]
Re: [Video]
Yes, Miss. Still only a beginner, but I can make a living by it here it seems.
[Mirajane clears her throat, trying not to get too excited... but she'd been keeping her eyes out for a smithy and hadn't found one of any noteworthy... worth.]
Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Mirajane Strauss, the bartender of Fayren's primary mage, guild Fairy Tail.
Re: [Video]
[He tries to will the blush from his cheeks. It seemed he would need to be used to forward compliments from strangers if his good were worthwhile.]
I am William Turner, a pleasure to meet you Miss Strauss. May I ask, are you a mage yourself?

What sort of things are you familiar with outside of weaponry and armor, then? I... may have a simple request since it was lost on the transition here.
Re: [Video]
Anything. I was trained by the only blacksmith in Port Royal. He, ensured, that I was well versed in everything from shoe buckle repair to creating doors for cells.

Re: Video
[Because he can do both coating and mixing, but also detailing of a sword with silver.]

Re: Video
[He smiles warmly.]
Are there any other specifications?

[Private Video / Text]
1 x Longstaff (Ornamental Quality)
1 x Combat Knife (Masterwork Quality)
1 x Silver Needle (Sized for a Fairy; Hollow to Encapsulate Elemental Powders of the User's Choice; Masterwork Quality)
1 x Longsword (Sized for a Child; Masterwork Quality)
1 x Whip (Ornamental Quality)
Completion of these weapons is due no later than December 27th. Is this acceptable to you?
Re: [Private Video / Text]
Yes, Miss. Of course.
[He reads through the list, muttering to himself a little. His eyebrows seem to show every reaction of surprise, thought and nervous air he has. Raising, narrowing and quirking seemingly all at once.]
The whip, longstaff and needle should be ready soonest. End of the month no later. The sword and dagger will be in December, but well before the day you've asked. And by ornamental is that just decoration without function? Or decorative and fully functional?
[Because he's never had to make ornamental anything. EVery sword, bullet and hinge was used in his time.]
[Private Video / Text]
[There's no reproach in her correction, but she doesn't care for 'Miss' so she'll make her preference known. This poor guy.]
They're gifts for those who complete my training. So long as the gifts are prepared before their date of graduation, the order in which you do them makes little difference to me.
[And there's probably an extra sword just handwaved onto the list for Eleanor since she's joining late shhhhhh.]
I assumed an ornamental weapon would consume less time. If you wish to make it functional, so be it. The whip at least is unlikely to see use in combat, however, and the recipient of the longstaff is not aiming to become an official member of the royal guard, and as such is less likely to require function over form.

[He sounds curious, mostly.]
N-Not that they're not impressive!
Re: [Video]
[A lie but he can't bring himself quite yet to tarnish his Masters name.]
Thank you, I worked on them for quite a while.

[Not that magic guns aren't fantastic, but contingency plans are good.]
