♕ A King's 1st Blood ♕ [Accidental Video]
[The video clicks and the feed begins with a quick red haze passing through it. It's hard to identify what it was since it was now deep within the owner's pocket. The feed appears to be in someone's pocket and had a clear view of Genessia Hospital's emergency ward. Right beside the owner was an old woman whom was slowly coming to her senses. If she wasn't in the emergency room, one would doubt that she was ill in the first place - because she looked perfectly healthy.]
Thank you, young man.. I mean doctor. I've never been better. I need to show you my appreciation!
There's no need for it.
But there is! I was half-beaten to death by those thugs who stole my money. But with your care, I don't even have a single wound or bruise in me. I wish I could pay you, but I have nothing of value left. Thank you, Doctor.
It doesn't matter. I'll have you discharged by daybreak.
[The woman still sounded frail but looked upon the doctor with great appreciation in her features. The doctor on the other hand sounded professional if not indifferent and cold. If only this woman knew that in exchange for healing her completely, he took some of her blood. Happily, the bandages that remained on her body, however small, hid the puncture marks well.]
*****
[It was a few minutes before daybreak. The doctor seemed to be filing the necessary paperwork to discharge most of his patients. In front of him was the head nurse for the night shift.]
Doctor Duzell, time to leave?
Yes. Endorse the rest of my patients to you know who.
[The head nurse seemed to find this amusing. In fact, he was laughing so hard. Duzell didn't mind him so much, since its mostly just the two of them watching over the hospital during night time, them and a few other nurses and lab technicians. Admittedly in the beginning, he found his cheery disposition to be too irritating. Though as the weeks passed by, he got used to it. He reminded Duzell of Yuujel.
Though Duzell did his best to handle all the priority patients for the evening, he always endorsed the rest of his patients to the same person. Not that he didn't think the other doctors were capable. Also, he could have finished all his patients for the evening since the job was relatively easy, but he was too lazy for that, and she knows it.]
Doctor Ishtar will throw a fit again! You should have seen her when you endorsed 30 patients all in one morning.
Really?
She had her hands full and no doctor could touch the patients and help her because of your endorsement! She wasn't exactly happy about it.
[Clearly this amused him to no end. His face did not show it, but he was certainly pleased with his actions. Perhaps this place was not as boring as he initially thought. In any case, this is all Ishtar's fault. Forcing him to work was a ridiculous idea. Where does she get the guts to tell a Vampire King he should work to earn money for rent? Sure she was the Princess of Pheliosta but he was still the Vampire King, Duzell. Wasn't she the one who was supposed to be providing for him? At least, that was their set-up back in their kingdom. He does everything else while she makes sure he has a cozy lifestyle. It wasn't set in stone, but that was how it was in the castle and Duzell got used to that.
Shortly after the nurse spoke, Duzell noticed that his communicator was blinking. Before the feed ends, it gives everyone a glimpse of Duzell's immaculate features, his long and shiny white hair and his hauntingly beautiful red eyes.]

[ Ishtar was happy to have a chance to protect her cousin for the time being with the assistance of the most powerful being from her world. She's not really scared of a lot of things, but she worries for them regardless. Duzell was invincible when he is but he wasn't immune to everything. ]
H-Hey hey! That's suppose to be in the low!
[ Ishtar snapped back at him. Hey don't go telling people their secrets! ]
I was worried!
[ LIES partly but close enough. ]
Yeah I know that you're confident with your abilities and everything but you still have to be aware. It's not like our world!
[ Ishtar frowned when Duzell did that. ]
Hey, hey no putting Falan on the spot!
[ Damn it Duzie! ]
no subject
Oh... Well... I mean... I am worried about Ishtar but.... I'm always worried about you too. So think that Ishtar worrying is warranted because we're concerned about you too.

[For now, his initial thought about Falan has changed. After all, his first thought when hhe saw her had nothing to do with her personality, but instead the lack of gorgeous looks which Ishtar had an over-abundance of. Then, there was the trouble with Illsaide, the one whom Duzell had an infatuation for. He knew how much Falan mattered to Illsaide, and in part, Duzell found himself caring about Falan as well.]
I'm surprised you haven't told her. She seems to know everything.
[They confided with each other so well. They were like twin sisters whose thoughts seem to run through the same wavelength. In fact, Duzell was surprised they still had something worth talking about when they talked so often.]
Don't worry Princess. I'll be careful.
[His words were not tender, and seemed more like his way of shaking the subject matter.]
You two are so concerned about me, when you should be more concerned about yourselves. Holy magic aside, you two are still pretty vulnerable in this world. You don't have your usual knights to protect you.
Which reminds me, Falan. How did the job hunting go? Or have you decided to open up a shoppe instead?
word vomitting again
[ she reaches over to hug the other girl tightly. ]
It makes sense I guess. There's a lot of things I don't know yet since I was taken right before the outcome of La Gamme. My memory is only that far and it's been four years since my memory's been stuck there. So, I'm 19 and thinking why the hell didn't I even age in the last four years. This bites!
[ Ishtar shouted almost standing up but she forces herself back down before remembering that she harboured and even bigger secret than that, and kept her eyes fixed to the ground. ]
It's not an exaggeration. It could get pretty bad in places like this.
[ She replied to him, while still hanging onto Falan. She could always count on Falan to back her up in these situation. ]
Right, Falan...I should probably tell you the truth since well we're all kinda stuck here...Duzell's actually 'The' Duzell.
[ As in the Vampire King Duzell. Falan you are smart, please note that so she doesn't have to spit it out. ]
Good. I have work already. I work at the clinic as a nurse/healer and I can defend myself. I have Yujinn's magic book and a bunch of spells up here in this noggin. On top of that Sidia's been pretty good. Gaara also left me another defensive charm, so I'm protected as well. I'm more worried about Falan and yeah did you find anything you could do? I know it's a bit rough around the edges but we got all the time right now. Tell me if you need me to do anything.
LLATTTEEEE
[She's been trying though.]
Wait.. What?
[She caught on right away. What reason did Ishtar have to lie to her about these things? And why exactly would she call him Duzell otherwise?]
Like... The Vampire King Duzell?
It's fine! Better late than never X3
That protects you from Dark and Blood Magic. I should not have to remind you there are still elemental forms of magic, such as fire, wind and water. Charms aside, you can't really bring that book and read it while your enemy is trying to slice you in half. It's practically useless if you can't memorize everything, Princess.
[Then he turned towards Falan.]
Yes. That shouldn't be any surprise for anyone. I am the Vampire King. Also, play through your strengths. For so long you were groomed to be a wife to a noble, I'm sure you were taught many things about etiquette and decorum, which Ishtar SHOULD know. So, why not teach classes on it. I hear teachers get good rates.
yessss ahhaahah rotfl.
[ She replied trying to make sure that Duzell doesn't confuse Falan too much. She just remembered a lot of the babble that Yujinn gave her from time to time. ]
Ahaha, no Duzie, I don't carry it around. It's all up here.
[ She pointed to her head. ] I've been seriously taking my lessons into thought. Yujinn taught me a lot.
[ She replied smiling. ] I can do some elemental attacks now. They're not great but they pass and much better. Yeah that Duzell, Falan. No joke. I can't keep up lies here right now. We really can't afford it.

In regards of the job idea, she wasn't quite ready to tell her thoughts on the idea. Being a teacher didn't seem too bad and it seemed like it would fit her, but right now she was distracted.]
Wow. I mean... It's not.... unbelievable but...
no subject
[Then Duzell let out a soft laugh, whilst he turned his gaze somewhere else.] Sure it is.
But? You'd think I would have killed Ishtar and you, by now. Yes?
no subject
Yeah, you can totally be a teacher or something if you wanted to.
[ She agreed. ]
I can protect myself, okay? Let's not forget I'm not the same person. Even if you deny it, Duzie.
[ She shrug. ]
Hahaha, what a silly though, right Duzie?

[He genuinely seemed pleased about the idea of Falan as a teacher. It was his idea after all.]
Falan, no. But you, I must admit, I've thought about killing you once or twice.
And still, you're very sweet, as Ishtar said, Falan. [If only he could utter a compliment without a hint of sarcasm.]
no subject
[ the princess replied throwing her arms around her favourite cousin. She might as well be her sister. ]
Yeah yeah, you're always like that Duzie. It doesn't bother me.
[ She chuckled. ]
...Duzell that's rude. [ sigh. ]
no subject
I won't expect anything less from the Vampire King.
[As sad as it was to hear had thought of it, it would be strange to her if he hadn't, given who he really was.]
O-oh I... Thank you.
no subject
[A moment later, he spoke once more.]
I hope the two of you know that this current living arrangement is temporary. We need to find a more permanent residence, while we're here.
no subject
[ She chuckled sheepishly as she said that. ]
Hehehehe..
[ Ishtar shrugged a bit as she plopped herself down. ]
Yeh I know that. We'll figure it out when it gets there.
