♕ A King's 1st Blood ♕ [Accidental Video]
[The video clicks and the feed begins with a quick red haze passing through it. It's hard to identify what it was since it was now deep within the owner's pocket. The feed appears to be in someone's pocket and had a clear view of Genessia Hospital's emergency ward. Right beside the owner was an old woman whom was slowly coming to her senses. If she wasn't in the emergency room, one would doubt that she was ill in the first place - because she looked perfectly healthy.]
Thank you, young man.. I mean doctor. I've never been better. I need to show you my appreciation!
There's no need for it.
But there is! I was half-beaten to death by those thugs who stole my money. But with your care, I don't even have a single wound or bruise in me. I wish I could pay you, but I have nothing of value left. Thank you, Doctor.
It doesn't matter. I'll have you discharged by daybreak.
[The woman still sounded frail but looked upon the doctor with great appreciation in her features. The doctor on the other hand sounded professional if not indifferent and cold. If only this woman knew that in exchange for healing her completely, he took some of her blood. Happily, the bandages that remained on her body, however small, hid the puncture marks well.]
*****
[It was a few minutes before daybreak. The doctor seemed to be filing the necessary paperwork to discharge most of his patients. In front of him was the head nurse for the night shift.]
Doctor Duzell, time to leave?
Yes. Endorse the rest of my patients to you know who.
[The head nurse seemed to find this amusing. In fact, he was laughing so hard. Duzell didn't mind him so much, since its mostly just the two of them watching over the hospital during night time, them and a few other nurses and lab technicians. Admittedly in the beginning, he found his cheery disposition to be too irritating. Though as the weeks passed by, he got used to it. He reminded Duzell of Yuujel.
Though Duzell did his best to handle all the priority patients for the evening, he always endorsed the rest of his patients to the same person. Not that he didn't think the other doctors were capable. Also, he could have finished all his patients for the evening since the job was relatively easy, but he was too lazy for that, and she knows it.]
Doctor Ishtar will throw a fit again! You should have seen her when you endorsed 30 patients all in one morning.
Really?
She had her hands full and no doctor could touch the patients and help her because of your endorsement! She wasn't exactly happy about it.
[Clearly this amused him to no end. His face did not show it, but he was certainly pleased with his actions. Perhaps this place was not as boring as he initially thought. In any case, this is all Ishtar's fault. Forcing him to work was a ridiculous idea. Where does she get the guts to tell a Vampire King he should work to earn money for rent? Sure she was the Princess of Pheliosta but he was still the Vampire King, Duzell. Wasn't she the one who was supposed to be providing for him? At least, that was their set-up back in their kingdom. He does everything else while she makes sure he has a cozy lifestyle. It wasn't set in stone, but that was how it was in the castle and Duzell got used to that.
Shortly after the nurse spoke, Duzell noticed that his communicator was blinking. Before the feed ends, it gives everyone a glimpse of Duzell's immaculate features, his long and shiny white hair and his hauntingly beautiful red eyes.]

1/2 Video | Private
[ See that face. She's judging you only not. Ishtar's not going to even question why her favourite vampire cat just nommed an old lady. If he needed blood, he could just tell her. Even if she had bad memories of their past together in Facility, it didn't matter. This was another Duzell entirely. The real Duzell. She still missed her Duzell. ]
At least you took care of her. I'd be pissed off if you didn't take care of her properly. Are you coming home soon? I'm going to sleep.
Morning | VIDEO/ACTION OTA
There are too many people! You're suppose to help me out here!
[ Ishtar lets out an exasperated sigh on the video feed as she called out to her vampire cat, tired and exhausted from using all of her magic on people. It's ridiculous. No matter how much practice she got, she was still sucking in the stamina area. Ishtar just finished another batch before wiping off the sweat on her face. ]
I'm only human okay?! Duzie tell me you're awake and not lazing around!
VIDEO
A few hours later, he found himself woken up by a horde of complaints from Ishtar. He expected this of course. But he expected it to happen when she returned home to him, not over the feed. So before he grabbed his communicator, he changed back to his vampiric form. His eyes were still closed and he was wearing his usual sleeping attire - nothing except for his blanket.]
What?
[His voice was equally exasperated. Not because he was tired, but because his sleep was disturbed.]
VIDEO
[ She furrowed her brows, tired, and wanting to sleep herself but she needed to help pay for whatever work the vampire decided not to do. She wouldn't hear the end of it if it was unfinished. ]
Don't tell me you're sleeping...
Ugh... is Falan home?
[ Somehow it seemed a bit awkward on her end since Ishtar was adjusting to the new Duzell-- the real Duzell. She still hasn't told him about everything. ]
VIDEO
[Yet, he's stretching like a cat right now so he could get ready to leave. His eyes opened, but he found himself sprawled on their bed once more.
Seriously. What was he supposed to say, I wasn't sleeping? when it was too obvious that he was?
He didn't need Illsaide's water tricks to realize that Falan was indeed in their loft.]
In her bedroom.
VIDEO
[ She replied running a hand through her hair. You are sure a pain Duzell. she said work to help out not make her work to pay off your not work Duzell. Ishtar kept to herself mostly as she said that but it was awkward talking with him as if nothing ever happened between them. At least, not with this Duzell. The other Duzell was a whole different story, but her feelings needed to be sorted out somehow. ]
Good. Make sure she's okay for me please? Please come down here and help me unless you want me to pass out.
VIDEO
[He's a lazy cat whom you pampered and spoiled to death. What did you expect?
So right now, he's trying to give Ishtar a soft smolder, to hopefully get himself excused from helping her.]
Make up your mind. I can't do both.
[Though really, the moment he had his apartment set-up and fully furnished, he had watched Falan like a bat that he was.]
VIDEO
[ Ishtar replied giving him lip for almost everything. She might have spoiled him too much but that didn't mean she would let him get away with all of it. ]
...Just check on her on your way out. I really need you to help me, please.
[ She weakly smiled. ]
We have lots to talk about too.

She'll be fine.
[At least, he made sure she would be. Who will miss an old lady anyway?]
I just need to get my coat.
[He'll never get used to having someone like Ishtar wanting him to come home to her. At one end, it felt nice to be wanted. In another end, he was a grown ass man and vampire king. No one was supposed to dictate when he wanted to go home. Yet, he found himself hurrying when Ishtar beckoned him to do so.]
Video | Private
Yeah, because you held back. I'm glad at least. You know we talked about this. If you want something, I'll just give it to you. It's not that hard right?
[ coat... right. Ishtar had that effect on people overall. ]
Action Forever
In an instant, he was in their apartment at the Regency. His expression was flat as he gazed at Ishtar and remembering her words.]
She should be glad I nursed her to health. With her old age, she would have been dead.
[Then he found himself walking across their bedroom and sitting down the bedroom couch. His eyes away from her. He'll never take Ishtar's blood. He'll drain the whole city if he has to, but never Ishtar. Besides, his hunger was sated for now. He had the extra vial chilling in their cooler. He didn't need to deal with her offer right now.]
And how many times do I have to tell you, NO.
Action Forever
...Well, I guess some good things can come out of it, but that doesn't mean you should do things like that. MY relatives or one thing, but people here... they're not my relatives...you know?
[ She folded her hands in her lap. She watched him as he walked around to chill his blood. ]
It's easier. I've told you. The other you that I knew was the same. You're important to me, and I wouldn't want anything to happen to you.
Action Forever; tell me if you need me to change
You can rely on us, you know that right?
It is fine
Exactly. So it shouldn't matter. These are neither your people nor your relatives, Princess.
[Ishtar should have known by now that the issue of 'the other Duzell', didn't settle well with him. Discussing blood and the other him rouse his blood.]
He's not the same person! If he was he wouldn't dare touch...
[His emotions got the better of him for the most part. But he sensed Falan's arrival and he quickly rested his back on the couch. Breathing evenly to calm himself down. Falan was a sweetheart, and he didn't need her to see the argument.]
Falan.
It doesn't matter. My hunger is unlike my kind. I'm sated for now.
Sorry my lovely cousin.Your cousin is having a sort of lover's spat with her cat D|
[ She greeted the girl softly. Ishtar gave her a weak smile before turning to Duzell about the discussion. ]
If it was Aunt Ramia or anyone else, I wouldn't really care since we were looking for Phelios' reincarnation remember? But old ladies and other people are still off the list. What if you get caught? I'm sure they're not strong enough to stop you but they might send someone who can, so that might be bad for you.
[ She furrowed her brows. ]
...We--had to do what we had to do in such a place... We didn't have a choice. I'm not saying that you and him are the same but it's alright if I help you. I'm always here for you. Isn't that enough?
[ She really didn't want to repeat all the bad things in Facility here. ]
...That's fine but still...I mean it.
You always have lover's spats <3

1/2; cue the confusion
She immediately went for the videocamera.]
Duzell. It's really you. Holy crap. It's actually you.
2/2; Hey not!dad who doesn't remember her
And seriously? Duzie? You do realize I'm never going to let that go now that I know that right?
3/3; I lied
Duzell... It's been a while. Do you remember who I am?
[And then she paused for a moment with a somber look.]
I understand if you don't remember me though.
[Of all the people to forget her, Duzell was -- without a doubt -- going to be the hardest to deal with. Still, they were close before. She was sure that she could become close to him again. Sirius was difficult, but Duzell was the closest to her.]
Pfft XD
Who are you?
How do you know my name?
[That alone should answer the question of remembering this woman. After all, he really doesn't remember this woman from anywhere.]
1/2
She'd been able to deal with her other friends leaving and coming back, only to forget her. She couldn't say that Duzell forgetting about her was any easier. She'd always been able to put up a wall and a brave face before. She was having difficulties with that now. She still managed after a few minutes of composing herself off the screen.]
2/2
My name is Rose Hathaway, and.... I once knew you at a different world than this. I know that seems weird, but with me, weird doesn't even begin to cover it.
no subject
It isn't me.
Neither will I ever be that person. I hope you can realize that as early as now.
[He didn't want her to expect anything of him aside from who he currently was at the moment. He told Ishtar the same thing. That person she met was different from him since he was never there with her to begin with.]
no subject
It leaves a bad taste in my mouth. There's nothing I can do about that, though.
[And then she paused for a moment.]
I guess the only thing I can do now is start over... again. I'm Rose Hathaway, and despite knowing you for 2 years prior to this....
I'm a Dhampir. Basically I'm half human/vampire, but I don't need to drink blood to get by nor does the sun bother me. I'm basically more human than vampire, but I do have vampire blood in me.
[She could go into terminology again, but she'll take it slow. He didn't remember her, after all.]
no subject
I think you already know my name though.
So you're a half-breed. There's nothing new with this. What powers and limitations do you posses?
no subject
[Meanwhile, his lack of being social is nothing new to Rose.]
I'm stronger and faster than most humans. That also being said, I'm more likely to live longer, thanks to the Moroi blood.
Dhampirs are taught from a young age that Moroi come first and we basically live to protect them. They've gotten weak over the centuries due to Strigoi. So basically from birth we're taught that violence is always the answer and that we'll protect a Moroi for the rest of our lives.
While Dhampirs don't have magic like Moroi do, we are generally much stronger because of years of training and practice.
[Before he asks again, she's in good practice by now.]
A Moroi is from my world, which is basically your pure blooded vampire. They are usually "royal" and specialize in an element.
Strigoi are your basic evil vampires that are nearly impossible to beat. Very strong and fast. A new born can do a lot of damage on their own. The only difference is that Moroi and Dhampir are born; Strigoi are made. Basically, think about the kinds of vampires that people are more well-versed in as being evil, can't be out in the sun, and power hungry, and that's them.
