[ After things had really set in, Weiss had been what could only be described as buzzing about. She hadn’t quite been able to contain her excitement and had immediately notified a couple of people, but there was no way that she wasn’t going to tell the whole world. Waiting for Sun to get home from work was almost painful when she was on Cloud Nine and wanted to share it with the world, but this was something they should both do together. As they would do a lot of things from now on. She barely let him settle in from work before she grabbed him to do it. ]

You know, I’m surprised you didn’t track me down at work to make this announcement earlier.

[He still has the biggest smile on his face as he says this, though. He’s glad she’s excited. He’s excited too and he probably would have skipped work completely today just so they could do this sooner.]

I can be patient. [ On occasion. Weiss tilted her head slightly, but a smile broke out on her face again too. It almost felt like she couldn’t stop since she’d made her decision and stopped letting herself give into negativity and self-doubt. ] Besides, no one would respond in the morning and I want everyone to know. Ready?

[ She’s so ready to flick the video on, only not holding his hand with both of hers because she’s ready to start the recording. ]

You’re barely being patient right now. Not that I can blame you. I’m ready to let people know too. [He gives her a nod to go ahead and start recording.]

I’ve been patient all day, I’m done being patient.

[ She said she can be, not that she was going to be. Before he can object Weiss starts the recording, a slightly teasing look in her eyes like he can’t argue anymore since she pressed record, but her gaze turns to the recording. ]

Sun and I have an announcement to make to everyone.

[ And so goes the pause for dramatic effect. She takes a deep breath so she doesn’t just blurt it out before he gets a word in edge-wise, though it’s obvious she’s bouncing on the balls of her feet as she waits for Sun to speak, giddiness apparent throughout her demeanor. ]

I asked Weiss a very important question and her answer to it made me so happy and her so excited that we just have to share the news.

[Sun turns his attention over to her.]

So tell me again, what was your answer to the question I asked?

I mean, technically I just put the ring on and let you give me those cute dumb-founded double-takes you do. [ What? A little teasing never hurt. (And she really does love how surprised he looked.) ] Then I said yes.

I mean, you totally stole away my chance to put it on you by putting it on yourself. But I forgive you, Weiss. [As long as she accepted and is wearing the ring, he didn’t care how it got on her finger.]

So we are formally announcing that [He waits for Weiss to join him in saying these next words.]

We got engaged! We got engaged! [Like it’s not obvious by this point anyway. But saying those words just makes it feel all the more real.

The buzzing Weiss had been doing up until that point had finally broken out into the worst camera work ever intentionally posted on the network as she started jumping up and down excitedly a couple of times before holding the ring out to show the camera, then turning to kiss Sun on the cheek. ]

We haven’t started planning anything yet so a date for the wedding isn’t set at all. We are just happy with this for now, but once we start- or well, once WEISS starts planning stuff, I’m sure she will let you all know.

I’m glad you know me so well, I already told Jaune he’s going to have to help you through this. [ She says it with a pat on his arm. They know each other so well, they didn’t even have to discuss this and she already made arrangements for him to deal with her inevitable micromanagement. ] I’m ready for people to congratulate us now.
