[Who knows where this mechanoid has been in recent weeks. Though his appearance on the screen certainly shows he has seen better days, with evidence of varying damage. But even with enough urgency to actually ask for help, he is still speaking with monotonous logic.]

I am Kunzite. Structural integrity of my armour has decreased to sixty-five percent and falling as a result of combat with monsters appearing late last month.

Due to the nature of the damage, I am requesting assistance.

I lack the necessary materials to continue self-repairs and am willing to part with money to compensate any who can assist me.

[With that out of the way, Kunzite makes his way around Nova City, checking maps for a suitable location that can repair his type of body and armour. All though it's proving difficult.

While in the middle of searching and trying not to make a scene, he unintentionally makes one as the mechanical joints in his knee pops and smokes, buckling out from under him.]

Running diagnostic. ... Complete. Critical damage to endoskeletal joint. Rerouting power from non-essential functions...

[Within a few seconds, the small plume of smoke coming from Kunzite's knee got smaller, and he rose back to his feet. Time is of the essence, so he calmly continues his search for repairs.

...But what about Dorothy? Even he isn't sure why he doesn't just come out and ask her directly.]

[The face that pops up in response is perhaps not one Kunzite expected, if only because they've never actually spoken before.]

If you can get to the Aster Technologies building, I can try to make repairs. I can show you my credentials when you get here.

[For his part, chaos will have his office prepped for the occasion. A maintenance bay, for starters - he's assumed cyborg, but it will work equally well for a non-organic body, too. He'll have to switch out some bits and turn others off, but it shouldn't be an issue.

When Kunzite arrives, he'll be conducted up to that office, based entirely on the description chaos left with the receptionist. It's chaos who's in for the surprise here - he was expecting a human, a cyborg at the outside. But this is a fully robotic being... with a soul. Interesting. He's only encountered this twice before.]

Make yourself comfortable on the bed. You can review my credentials here. [He hands over a datapad, on which are a list of accreditations and diplomas from places that don't exist in this world. It's not a short list. Certainly not one a human could accumulate in a normal lifespan.]

Is your armor integrated to your body, or can it be removed normally? Some of these stress fractures indicate that entire plates will need to be replaced, to say nothing of the mechanisms beneath. If you're in need of power, I can provide that as well.

[Rather than wait for answers, he'll begin to analyze the structure of the armor. Especially the materials - they're exotic enough to give him a moment's pause, but only a moment.]

It may take me a little while to replicate the alloys. As an alternative, I can reconstruct the existing plates using nanomachines tailored to the task, providing only enough of the exotics to replace what is missing. If you happen to possess a copy of your original schematics, it would be most helpful.

[personal profile] space_jesus 2017-11-15 09:30 am (UTC)(link)
The schematics will help with that. Before I can begin, though, do you also have an internal diagnostic of damaged areas, and is there anything in here that must absolutely not be touched? A black box, a positronic brain, any kind of core personality module? Nanotech is a precise science - if I don't give very specific instructions, the surgeons could try to fix things that aren't broken, or shouldn't be fooled with.

[personal profile] space_jesus 2017-11-15 09:44 am (UTC)(link)
[chaos nods, making note of the location of both on the schematic. He takes the datapad over to his desk, plugs it into the terminal there, and sets his majordomo Bunnie to work on coding the nanosurgeons that will be necessary for this operation.]

I shouldn't have any need to meddle with either of them. We should be ready to proceed with repairs momentarily. Do you mind telling me how you got so battered in the first place?
space_jesus: (Gentle smile)

[personal profile] space_jesus 2017-11-15 09:59 am (UTC)(link)
I see. In that case, perhaps I should prepare to keep the repair agent on hand - if you plan to continue this sort of behavior, you're going to need patching up from time to time. And since I'm already making surgeons tailored to your specifications, I can keep the design on hand to reproduce as needed. But, I can go one step further. In the world I came from, we use nanomachines to effect certain processes on the battlefield - we call this ability 'ether'. I can arrange a supply of these surgeons for you, and upload the program for utilizing ether techniques as a software package. A friend of mine back home had a similar configuration to yours, and she had no problem using ether.

If you find someone who is trustworthy.

I would be interested in their name.

Thank you.

[ She pauses, then toggles the video to a private feed. ]

I am not badly damaged myself, but maintenance would be appreciated.

Are you all right?

I hope chaos will be able to help you.

Without any expectations.

[ She suspects that he's more damaged than he's letting on, but that's difficult to determine over a video transmission. ]

Some. I lack the necessary tools or supplies.

[ Just a standard set of tools from a hardware store wasn't really specialized enough for her intricate array of hydraulics and pistons, gears and circuitry. And if she needed to replace anything, the parts were definitely not standard. ]

I'm worried even minor, cosmetic damage would be irreparable here, for this reason.

And seeking out more elaborate tools or parts may ... advertise more about my functions than I'd like.

[Whether someone was losing blood, or leaking smoke, that was all it took for Orihime to flip the 'open' sign to 'closed be right back!' in her bakery. She knows he's in Nova City, but not where he is specifically. Whatever excitement she might have felt at getting to know another sentient robot is overridden by worry over his injuries.]

I think I can heal you. I mean...I haven't tried with robots before, but I've seen people's clothing fix itself along with the injuries, so even if it's not organic...it should work.

[Her face is unusually serious too. She's running, trying not to waste any time.]

Where do I need to go? How close are you to the gate?
leekspins: (Run Forrest Run!)

[personal profile] leekspins 2017-11-24 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
That'll work! What's your name?

[She's not far from the archway now. Though she's never been to Sycamore Cycles, the comm device can pull up the location and guide her there. Orihime isn't sure if she needs him to keep talking to prolong his health if he isn't human, or if that actually takes up processing speed or...whatever it is robots need to perform basic functions...she just hopes she's helping instead of hindering.]

[Awww... He seems so nice! She hates that this happened to him. It's on par with someone kicking a small animal, he just doesn't deserve something like that.]

[When she finally arrives, she's puffing for breath and has to lean on her knees for a moment. But that doesn't mean she can't use her abilities. Kunzite might even be able to see them manifest if he has any sort of magic or supernatural abilities available to him. Two petals zip away from each of her floral hairpins, coming together a couple of feet in the air above him before spreading apart to form a dome of gold light.]

[It should work. Nothing about her powers requires the subject to be organic, and if she can fix clothing as well as erase injuries, it's just a matter of turning back the clock rather than understanding his unique composition.]

How long...has it been...this bad...?
leekspins: (Wait!)

[personal profile] leekspins 2017-11-28 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
Only 88%...? Then I'm not finished yet!

[She holds her hands up, trying to coax him to sit back down and let her continue the restoration, but she won't actively block his path if he really wants to leave.]

Can you stay just a little longer? I'll try to put more of my strength into the shield.
leekspins: (Whew!)

[personal profile] leekspins 2017-11-29 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[Wait, he's actually listening to her plea? He has more common sense than anyone else who's tried to walk off before she's finished! As soon as she realizes he's not going anywhere, she bows hastily.]

Thank you, Kunzite-san!

[She curls her arm to draw the two small fairy-like beings back to the android, and the gold dome covers him once more. He seems to be in a hurry, so she pushes herself, her soul straining to provide the extra power to speed the process. It's tough, but she considers it to be good for her, to test her limits and improve.]

Let me know when you're back to 100%. I'll stop.
leekspins: (Bow)

[personal profile] leekspins 2017-12-26 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[She's worried about the missing 10%, but he said it was stagnating? A strong force of will could possibly blunt her attempts at healing, and she didn't want to force it in case there was potentially something she shouldn't heal -- memorable scars for people, for example, or if he'd had some sort of unique malfunction that made him more sentient and aware. She would have to be satisfied with what she'd done, especially since he seems to be just fine now.]

That's a relief. I'm glad!

[And now she knows her powers aren't limited just to people, instead of just suspecting.]

Er...you're not expecting another attack on the way, are you? Do you want me to stay with you the rest of the way?
leekspins: (Headtilt)

[personal profile] leekspins 2017-12-28 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
[It sounds like he would prefer not to have her hovering fretfully around him, which is fine. He said he's okay, and he's been respectful and polite, so she doesn't want to step on his toes no matter how cool and awesome she thinks he is.]

Okay. As long as you're sure!

[She should probably get back to work anyway. Thank goodness she can set her own hours!]

Feel free to call me if something like this happens again. See you later!

[ That poor robot! ]

I don't think I've got the skills or the tools to help you yet, but if you don't find anyone more experienced I can try.
