[ What a strange place.

Vanille is no stranger to weird, new places--she's been to enough before. But this...this feels different somehow. More lively, even more so than Cocoon was. And for once, she has no idea where she is, other than what the pamphlet tells her. ]

Hmmm.

[ She taps her chin and steps back, arms crossed. Vanille's thinking--what kind of place is this going to be? Will it be friendly to her, unlike Cocoon was in the beginning? Or will it just be another...well, disaster? Regardless, she gives a smile and waves. ]

Hi there! So this is...Genessia, right? I'm Vanille, and I'm new here!

[ If you listen closely, you can hear the growling of her stomach. Vanille laughs a bit. ]

Aha, I guess I'm pretty hungry. Traveling to a whole new place kinda does that!

Wooow, that is lucky! I'm glad you had someone you know! That's always nice, isn't it?

[ She's a little sad--she had someone important with her whenever she woke up, too. It's the first time she's been to a new place without Fang. ]

Mhm! And another friend arrived a week ago or so. There might be people that you know here too.

[Since she came to show her a place to eat, she started walking on.]

Maybe! [ She doesn't let on that she hopes her friends aren't here. As strong as they are, she doesn't like seeing them in danger, and she has no idea how dangerous this place is. ] Even if there aren't, I think I'll probably be okay if everyone's as nice as you.

[ She follows her, looking around curiously. There's so much to look at, after all. ]

As far as I know, this place doesn't seem so bad. Things can change though, I suppose.

Yeah, it's not too bad so far! It's definitely different than home. Different isn't always bad, though.

So! What kinda food is around here?

There's all sorts of food here. Although I've been trying to cook more recently.

I can cook a little bit, but I'm a lot better at baking! I don't think you can live off sweets, though.

I haven't cooked much before coming here, but I thought it was a nice hobby to have and a way to keep cost down.

I might have to try some things out, then! I'll have to start simple. Maybe like...pasta, I think. Got any advice for beginners?

Mm! Fang doesn't really like sweets as much as I do, so she kinda complained sometimes. [ She lets out a little laugh, even as her chest tightens a little. She misses her. ] But she always ate 'em.

Nothing yet. I'm still sort of learning the ropes myself. I wouldn't mind trying to learn with you if you'd like, though.

[And she can sort of tell from her expression, but she decided it was best not to say anything right now.]

Ah, I'd like that a lot! [ She hesitates only for a moment...but Flonne has been so nice to her. Still, she's a little nervous as she says the next part. ] Learning with a friend is always better than learning alone, isn't it?

[ She hopes she's not being too presumptuous. ]

Exactly! It would make it a lot more fun, too.

[Of course not! Flonne has already considered you to be a new friend.]

[ Her shoulders relax, and her smile brightens. She's glad she has a friend here now! ]

I can't wait, then!

[ Grumble grumble. That's her stomach protesting. ]

Aha, but first, I should eat something, huh?

Ah! Yeah! Luckily... here we are.

[Opening the door for her, she gave her a smile.]
