Vanille is no stranger to weird, new places--she's been to enough before. But this...this feels different somehow. More lively, even more so than Cocoon was. And for once, she has no idea where she is, other than what the pamphlet tells her. ]

[ She taps her chin and steps back, arms crossed. Vanille's thinking--what kind of place is this going to be? Will it be friendly to her, unlike Cocoon was in the beginning? Or will it just be another...well, disaster? Regardless, she gives a smile and waves. ]

[ If you listen closely, you can hear the growling of her stomach. Vanille laughs a bit. ]

Aha, I guess I'm pretty hungry. Traveling to a whole new place kinda does that!

Hi, Yuna! It's more welcoming than I'd expected! [ Because, well...after the catastrophe on Cocoon after she woke up all those centuries ago, she hadn't expected anyone to be so kind and friendly. And here, there were so many people who were kind and friendly. It's a little overwhelming, but she's not complaining one bit. ] All the people here so far are very friendly.

[There isn't a shred of maliciousness in his tone. He appears as he once had before though with one major difference. Yeul isn't with him. His eyes are fixed forward, the immortal turned god of death isn't tainted with revenge either.

Caius steps forward from the shadows to then cast his gaze to the sky.]

One world cast aside, another merged with the darkness, one created anew, I ponder what this place has to offer that has brought me here.

[ Vanille's pretty much minding her own business now--she's gotten something to eat and now she's off by herself, exploring. She's used to being alone, really, and it's not so bad. At least now she has someone she can call a friend--a surprise, but a pleasant one nonetheless.

But her friend's not here now, and she senses the man before she hears him. He feels familiar--or at least, the swirling cloud behind him feels familiar. She knows this feeling, and it's one she never wanted to feel ever again.

Vanille turns, and her eyes widen just a little bit. She saw him, once, after Lightning had been successful. And she had certainly heard of him--she and Fang both, and Fang had said he was bad news. But he doesn't seem so bad.

Regardless, she's keeping her guard up. Not that anyone could blame her, really. ]

I know who you are, too. I saw you, then--you and that girl, Yeul.

[ She keeps watching him. Maybe she's a little too guarded, but then...she knows, a little bit, what Caius has done in the past. ]

Mm, I'm not sure. A lot of people are here. Maybe...the world is just lonely.

[ It's a little childish, and Vanille's not sure if worlds can even feel. Probably not. But she doesn't really have an explanation otherwise for why so many people are here. ]

[Kairi had started to get use to new arrivals, she always had since the last world. She was also use to going from world to world so travelling was once more normal to her. So hearing that there was someone else who knows about going to new places makes her smile slightly.]

As he's passing through the Bay Area, an unfamiliar voice catches his attention. It's faint, but he's able to strain his ears enough to make out:

"...essia, right? I'm Vanille, and I'm new here!

Steel-colored eyes narrow in the direction of the voice. With a faint cock of his head, he's turning and heading that way. By this point, he's hearing the part about her being hungry. He steps around towards the front of her, as he approaches. There's a light smirk, as he realizes the irony in that he just came from a place that serves food.

...He probably smells like ramen, after being around it for eight hours.]

Actually, I'm starting to think it does do that. I felt like I hadn't eaten in days after I arrived.
