01 [Action - Genessia City]
[This was something both horrifying and exciting at the same time. Haille was naturally curious as to what the world was like...but to be thrown into a completely new world was something else entirely. There were numerous people here. Far more than he expected. And the technology! He'd read about steam and magic-powered inventions, but everything he'd seen so far seemed much more advanced.
It was all so overwhelming for one who'd only ever seen the inside of an old library and some dark caverns.
Thankfully, Haille had a blank notebook in his robes. Well, it had been blank. Now it was already almost half-filled with various notes and observations he'd made since his arrival a mere two or three hours ago. In fact, he could be found wandering the streets and admiring the lights, jotting down more as the night went on.]
How...how fascinating!

[Belle pauses, her chin tilted up towards the light that the boy had been admiring. She admits, it is an interesting structure. Lights like this do not exist in her time though she's been in Genessia long enough to be used to the odd forms of electricity that it has.
Her light brown eyes look down at the strange, her gaze open and kind.]
If you'll excuse me for asking. Are you new?
[She's wearing her familiar blue dress with her hair tied back with a single blue ribbon.]

[Haille responds before he even turns to look at the woman speaking to him. His robes flutter in the cool night breeze, and he even shivers a little. Even that was something new!]
Oh, yes. My name is Haille Alunia. You...
[He pauses, looking a little surprised.]
You're human, yes?
no subject
My name is Belle.
[Belle isn't sure if that's odd or not.]
It was the first time I had seen a city like this too. When I arrived that is.

[The pale man hums thoughtfully, taking a few steps closer. It's not really odd. Haille's just never actually interacted with a real human before.]
It's rather impressive, isn't it? Not just the lights. The structures, the number of inhabitants, the...roads? I believe that's what they're called. I never imagined I'd get to see any of this.
no subject
[She nods her head in confirmation when he asks about the roads.]
It is very impressive. My town is much smaller than this one and doesn't have lights like these. [Belle looks up towards the street light with a small smile.] You should see Nova City too.
If you can imagine, it's more advance than Genessia proper.

[He pauses, tapping his chin before jotting something else down in his notebook. Seeing as how Haille's only been here for maybe a few hours or so and he's almost halfway through it, it's likely he's going to need to pick up many more at some point.]
The illusion back in the bay explained a few things, but I'm at a loss what to do now. Sightseeing is nice, but I already miss my laboratory.
no subject
[It's a little sad to hear but perhaps this is a chance for him to see something new.]
There are labs here. I don't know much about them but I am sure they're accept those with similar skills as employees.
no subject
[This is an opportunity he won't squander. Something like this is what he's dreamed of for years. A chance to explore the outside world!]
There are other alchemists here? Where can I find them?
no subject
[Belle shifts through her skirts, pulling a small device from the folds of fabric.]
This, you should have one too. It let's you speak to those who were also brought here. I am sure you'll be able to find other alchemists this way.
no subject
[That sort of technology didn't exist in his world, even before it was destroyed. But upon seeing the device, he nods and produces his own from within his robes.]
Oh, this thing. I haven't quite figured out how to work it yet.
no subject
[She offers him a kind smile.]
The have a guide as well, if you prefer reading. That's how I learned.
no subject
[Judging by that delighted look on his face, he's very much telling the truth.]
However, I wouldn't mind trying a hands-on approach either, if you have the time.
no subject
Of course. I wouldn't have offered if I didn't have the time.
To start there are three functions. There's speaking to another person, then seeing them like a mirror and finally writing to them through the device.

[Haille prods at his own phone for a moment, making sure the options match up.]
That seems remarkably convenient. Like an amalgation of different magics.
no subject
[Belle has picked up some knowledge but often times its only what goes on around her.]
You can also make conversations private or address the whole city. I prefer to have private conversations in person. I'm never sure if I'm doing it right with these things.
no subject
[Nearly all his experience with everything has come from books.]
That sounds...understandable. I'm sure it will take some time to get used to it myself.
no subject
[Belle isn't a magic user but she doesn't go and use their library from time to time.]
no subject
[Haille slides his own phone back into a pocket in his robes, before .]
That sounds rather promising. Thank you, Miss Belle.
no subject
[She flashes the man a kind smile.]
You're very welcome.
no subject
[Unless something else happens to catch his attention.]
Once I've settled in, I will pay you back.
no subject
[She lingers for a moment.]
Do you need anything else? I should be heading home soon but I can lead you if there is someplace that you wish to go.
no subject
[Even so, he'll probably make something for her later once he has another laboratory set up.]
I'd be lying if I said no, but I'll have to figure some things out on my own.
no subject
[Belle smiles.]
I hope to see you again.
[She pulls up the fabric of her hood and turns to go on her way.]
no subject
[He nods and offers a brief wave of farewell.]
Do take care.
